The announcement corresponds to what the house offers: large, very clean and welcoming, with a large terrace with sea view. We loved the views from the terrace and watching the amazing skies from sunrise to sunset and were even treated to a rainbow. An easy walk to two beaches. We walked to town for groceries and dining as we decided not to rent a car and used local taxis for day trips. It was a short walk to town that included an uphill climb that might be difficult for some with mobility issues. Because we did not speak Spanish we had a bit of trouble engaging taxis but got by with the kindness of strangers and Google translate! The place was immaculate and stocked with all the conveniences you needed. Joan Anton was very responsive when we had a scare about a lost wallet (which was later found) by contacting the police for us. Felix Garcia was the taxi driver we used the most and he took us to Port de la Selva and Cadaques as well as getting us to the train station with luggage. We also took the train to Figures. The second week two friends left and we were joined by my son and daughter-in-law from Germany who rented a car which simplified getting around and allowed us to see some of the many wonderful sights in the area. They included the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, a relaxing 2 hour boat trip from Cadaques, Pals and a wonderful organic winery in Selva de Mar, named Estela tucked in the hills and farmed for 35 years by a woman and her sons. We really loved this little corner of Spain! "

In fact the one below the house can be accessed in 10 minutes, although the climb back up is punishing for elderly people like us. Fortunately it is possible to perk the car on a road close by. "

- "The property is well equipped for 2 adult couples on a self catering holiday. The view of sunrise from the main room and balcony was memorable: shame the balcony was in shade from late morning (although we may have had a very different experience in the height of summer). The most significant concern we had was that the "oven" was not the normal, full size we expected but a small, table top decvice large enough only for 1/2 pizza. A car is essentail as it is a 30 minute walk down through the development to the main road and then an additional 20 minute walk to shops. Satellite TV has two English language channels and rented WiFi router was a bonus."

The house has two floors. When you go in, on the ground floor, there is a well-equipped kitchen with fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, filter coffee maker, toaster, washing machine and tableware. There is also a bathroom with a shower.

Then you come to a spacious lounge-dining room tastefully decorated with dining table and chairs, a large sofa-bed, two armchairs, TV, coffee table, cupboards and large French windows which lead to the large terrace and small garden. This space, partially covered, has outdoor furniture - large table and chairs, sun loungers - an awning and beautiful views of the sea. The ideal place to relax, enjoy the good weather and eat outside.
