Ski out is either cli ming up the hill or a short walk or driving around the corner to ski area.
There are hundreds of lakes within just a few miles to fish and canoe, and many different trails for bicycling, atv riding, jeep trails, and much more. The Grand Mesa is the perfect getaway for any season with so much to do in them all. Mesa also is only an hour away from Grand Junction, Colorado, and bigger 'city' attractions, as well as the Colorado National Monument, Fruita, Colorado, the mountain biking capital of the world, and Palisade, Colorado, known for its wineries and vineyards. Powderhorn Ski Area is now offering lift tickets to the top of the mountain for mountain biking.

We decided on the Palisade area to visit Grand Mesa, Colorado National Monument and the Peach Festival. This lodge was the perfect home base. The house is spacious without feeling too big, it's comfortable, and the view out the north-facing windows is amazing. It's also far enough from any neighbors to feel private without being so far out in the wilderness that you feel like you're entirely on your own. The property manager was also welcoming and responsive to our questions. It's about 45 minutes from Grand Junction one way, and only about 15 minutes from cool, aspen-covered mountains the other way. The house has all the amenities you need along with a lot of games and toys for the whole family. We really enjoyed staying there, and will probably be back."

Located adjacent to the Grand Mesa National Forest with outstanding views, gateway to the Palisade Plunge, Grand Mesa Nordic Skiing, Powderhorn Resort, hiking, biking, wildflower walks, fishing, and hunting. We are a short drive to Palisade Wineries, distilleries, and breweries.

You'll have the entire spacious, well-equipped home to yourself with plenty of privacy. Two bedrooms provide comfy queen size beds. Two full baths (one with a large soaking bathtub) at opposite ends of the house allow for plenty of privacy. The spacious living room has a sofa bed and gas fireplace which makes it an ideal space for families, couples, or small groups.

Relax with a cup of coffee or glass of wine at the beautifully designed kitchen island. The spacious kitchen invites gatherings, offering brand new appliances, cookware and more.

The 1856 sq/ft cabin has 2 master bedrooms (queen beds), 3.5 bathrooms (2 of which are en-suite master baths), a stocked remodeled kitchen, living room, sunroom, loft area (queen bed and 2 twin beds), basement (king bed), and amazing views from the wraparound porch.

Living room area has a propane fireplace and two huge french doors to the porch. Basement area has the king bed setup, wood burning fireplace (which needs to be used if guests are staying in the basement), laundry room, and full bathroom with a shower.

My husband has 2 set weeks a year off so we booked late and my nephew picked this property. We enjoyed time with 4 generations of our family and everyone felt right at home. We enjoyed 2 days just lounging and relaxing and another at Vega fishing and ATV'ing. Amber was amazing at communication when some cows showed up searching for water, we did give them some since they were making a mess by the rainwater runoff. We enjoyed them, the birds, deer, and rabbits as we all visited while we watched from the amazing wrap around deck! The views and tranquility were just what we needed while my nephew loved the darts and Ping pong table!"

Right out the front door of the condo is the high speed quad lift at Powderhorn Ski Resort. Easily come in from skiing to eat lunch and be back on the lift within a few steps.

A full kitchen with stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, etc is available for cooking. All dishes and cooking materials are in the kitchen if you choose to cook for yourself.

High speed internet is provided through Starlink throughout the property. Smart TV provides options for streaming movies after a blissful day on the mountain.

Bedrooms are comfortable and fully stocked with linens and towels. Sleeps 10 comfortably, can sleep more if you want to sleep on the large sectional couch.

It turned out ok for us because she stayed at a cabin across the road which was the holiday gathering point anyway. I will say the tub was a bit daunting for us. We are spry but 70+ so stepping in that huge tub to take a shower was a bit scary. Radiant floor heating and ceiling fans kept us comfortable throughout our stay. The keyless entry was convenient, and it was great having essentials like linens, towels, and toiletries provided. Some places do not have everything you need, but we had every cooking utensil or pots and pans that we might have needed.The living area was cozy and inviting, especially with the wood-burning fireplace — firewood was provided, which was a thoughtful touch. We enjoyed movie nights on the Roku TV and made use of the board games and books available. The wraparound porch was a highlight for us! It offered comfortable seating and a fire table where we spent many evenings soaking in the crisp mountain air. The grill and smoker were perfect for outdoor cooking, and the views from the porch were absolutely mesmerizing.Sleep arrangements we great. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor, which were convenient for us because we traveled with our elderly parents. Parking was straightforward, with room for two vehicles in the driveway.This cabin provided the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation, and it’s clear that a lot of care went into making it a welcoming retreat. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a fun-filled family trip, this property is a gem on the Western Slope. We can’t wait to return!"

Great condo just a short walk to Powderhorn Ski Resort. Both bedrooms have big closets and share a balcony with beautiful views. Living area has a fireplace (long burning logs only) and foldout bed. Full kitchen and roomy dining area with a balcony. Powderhorn is a great, tucked away, family friendly ski resort.
