The living room was cozy and comfortable. The pool was terrific and the outdoor lighting gave a welcoming night time ambiance. The beach toy selection was solid and our kiddos loved pulling the wagon of supplies to the beach. The walk to the beach was definitely less than 5 minutes -- even closer than we had anticipated. The beach is on the smaller side but was not at all crowded. The sunset views were indeed great. The house is also a reasonable walk to the playground. The yard across the driveway is large and we even saw a deer come through. Good food was a short drive away, and we got carryout several times. We came from central Indiana and were pleased to have found such a gem without having to travel farther north. (We had one issue but Gina handled it immediately and to our full satisfaction.) The best beaches are the Michigan City beach and the New Buffalo beach both are about a 5 minute drive with lots of sand and sun,

Rental supplied with 2 passenger golf cart, but you can upgrade to 4 passenger or even 6-8 passenger limo golf cart for an additional fee, just contact us for details. The driver of the golf cart must be 21 or over and a licensed driver. Home is turn key, with everything we could think of that you might need: 100+ DVDs, condiments, pots, pans, BBQ supplies, doggie treats, smores supplies, firewood, games, laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent, bongo drums (kidding on that one), card games, good books, cooking oil and spices, beach towels and more.

Just bring the food and the beverage of choice and enjoy the Cozy Cottage.

Location is in the middle of everything. 5 miles from Four Winds Casino, Blue Chip Casino, New Buffalo an Michigan City. We are on a highway and you can hear cars in the front of the house but the sleeping area in the back is very quiet. Amtrak operates a 100 mph train a few times a day and you will know when it is coming, thankfully they do not run late at night with the last train about 10 PM Michigan time.

The lake level is high this year so the beaches have been reduced but we are 10 minutes from both New Buffalo and Michigan City beaches.

I would stress with one word what you will find in our cottage 'Sanitized'.

We clean this unit ourselves and do not use a service, everything is laundered and bleached, floors are 100% ceramic with throw rugs and you will find the entire home immaculate, I'm sure. You will never find any sign of a pet and we use ozone generators between guests and UV sanitation.

This cottage is set up for a perfect vacation for a small group in all seasons! The kitchen is top-notch, well stocked and fun to cook in. The hardwood floors bring the woods inside and the gas fireplace in the winter makes it easy to curl up with a book. Each room has its own bathroom; the cottage is designed with privacy in mind. Unusual for a home in the woods to have a front lawn, but we do, which we use for games. The backyard is fenced in: there is a grill and a portable campfire, an outdoor dining table and outdoor furniture--a perfect outdoor living room. The snow in Michiana Shores is beautiful in the winter. The trees are somber in the fall. This is an all year get-a-away whether you are looking for beach time, cross-country skiing, canoeing, hiking or tennis.

Lake Michigan is a five minute bike ride away or a 15 minute walk. We have two ten-speed bikes for your use.

We would be delighted to share our tranquil Michiana Shores oasis with you and your group. The home is designed and furnished to be a cozy yet luxurious escape from the busy realities of modern life. Sit back and relax on the huge wraparound porch or enjoy the wood-burning fireplace or backyard firepit. Beautiful Lake Michigan beaches are within walking distance (or a 3 minute ride on our golf cart available for an extra fee) and downtown New Buffalo is a 7-minute drive. Enjoy the local restaurants, hiking, wineries, breweries, casinos and golf all within a few miles of the property. There is a park with a playground and tennis court in the neighborhood and a horseback riding stable is just down the street.

The home has 2 bedrooms with an additional queen bed in the loft. The loft also features a family area with a large sectional couch so you can watch movies or play games with the whole group.

The home is fully stocked with all of your household essentials including toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, handsoap, laundry detergent, shampoo, body wash, coffee, espresso, teas, coffee filters, and all of the kitchen/dining essentials we could think of. We aim to provide a fully furnished experience for our guests.

The home is well-suited for an adult getaway but also is equipped to host families with young children:
