The living room was cozy and comfortable. The pool was terrific and the outdoor lighting gave a welcoming night time ambiance. The beach toy selection was solid and our kiddos loved pulling the wagon of supplies to the beach. The walk to the beach was definitely less than 5 minutes -- even closer than we had anticipated. The beach is on the smaller side but was not at all crowded. The sunset views were indeed great. The house is also a reasonable walk to the playground. The yard across the driveway is large and we even saw a deer come through. Good food was a short drive away, and we got carryout several times. We came from central Indiana and were pleased to have found such a gem without having to travel farther north. (We had one issue but Gina handled it immediately and to our full satisfaction.) The best beaches are the Michigan City beach and the New Buffalo beach both are about a 5 minute drive with lots of sand and sun,

Rental supplied with 2 passenger golf cart, but you can upgrade to 4 passenger or even 6-8 passenger limo golf cart for an additional fee, just contact us for details. The driver of the golf cart must be 21 or over and a licensed driver. Home is turn key, with everything we could think of that you might need: 100+ DVDs, condiments, pots, pans, BBQ supplies, doggie treats, smores supplies, firewood, games, laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent, bongo drums (kidding on that one), card games, good books, cooking oil and spices, beach towels and more.

Just bring the food and the beverage of choice and enjoy the Cozy Cottage.

Location is in the middle of everything. 5 miles from Four Winds Casino, Blue Chip Casino, New Buffalo an Michigan City. We are on a highway and you can hear cars in the front of the house but the sleeping area in the back is very quiet. Amtrak operates a 100 mph train a few times a day and you will know when it is coming, thankfully they do not run late at night with the last train about 10 PM Michigan time.

The lake level is high this year so the beaches have been reduced but we are 10 minutes from both New Buffalo and Michigan City beaches.

I would stress with one word what you will find in our cottage 'Sanitized'.

We clean this unit ourselves and do not use a service, everything is laundered and bleached, floors are 100% ceramic with throw rugs and you will find the entire home immaculate, I'm sure. You will never find any sign of a pet and we use ozone generators between guests and UV sanitation.

This cottage is set up for a perfect vacation for a small group in all seasons! The kitchen is top-notch, well stocked and fun to cook in. The hardwood floors bring the woods inside and the gas fireplace in the winter makes it easy to curl up with a book. Each room has its own bathroom; the cottage is designed with privacy in mind. Unusual for a home in the woods to have a front lawn, but we do, which we use for games. The backyard is fenced in: there is a grill and a portable campfire, an outdoor dining table and outdoor furniture--a perfect outdoor living room. The snow in Michiana Shores is beautiful in the winter. The trees are somber in the fall. This is an all year get-a-away whether you are looking for beach time, cross-country skiing, canoeing, hiking or tennis.

Lake Michigan is a five minute bike ride away or a 15 minute walk. We have two ten-speed bikes for your use.

We would be delighted to share our tranquil Michiana Shores oasis with you and your group. The home is designed and furnished to be a cozy yet luxurious escape from the busy realities of modern life. Sit back and relax on the huge wraparound porch or enjoy the wood-burning fireplace or backyard firepit. Beautiful Lake Michigan beaches are within walking distance (or a 3 minute ride on our golf cart available for an extra fee) and downtown New Buffalo is a 7-minute drive. Enjoy the local restaurants, hiking, wineries, breweries, casinos and golf all within a few miles of the property. There is a park with a playground and tennis court in the neighborhood and a horseback riding stable is just down the street.

The home has 2 bedrooms with an additional queen bed in the loft. The loft also features a family area with a large sectional couch so you can watch movies or play games with the whole group.

The home is fully stocked with all of your household essentials including toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, handsoap, laundry detergent, shampoo, body wash, coffee, espresso, teas, coffee filters, and all of the kitchen/dining essentials we could think of. We aim to provide a fully furnished experience for our guests.

FYI there are stairs to walk down to the dunes, but they are really nice stairs and easy to walk."

This property is well-maintained and equipped for the comfort and convenience of our guests. Our vacation rentals include well-equipped kitchens, living, and dining areas. Linens and towels are provided. Homes have washers and dryers, a dishwasher, central heat and air conditioning, cable/satellite television, DVD players, and high-speed Internet service.

We ask that renters bring condiments, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, extra toilet paper, and convenience items like plastic wrap, aluminum foil, and zip-lock bags. We do not resupply anything during the stay. We provide two rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, 2 rolls of paper towels, 4 garbage bags, and hand soap in each bathroom so plan according to your needs.

This property is Dog-friendly. A non-refundable fee per stay, per dog ( 2 dog max) is assessed during the booking process.

- "Beautiful wooded setting, birds feeding in the backyard a few feet from the screened porch, gardens and paths a pleasure. The cottage is vintage in the best way, knotty pine paneling, wood casement windows, and comfortable cottage furnishings. The lamps alone are delightful! Ceiling fans in every room and on the porch. ALL modern conveniences meanwhile - wifi, updated kitchen furnished with every utensil and cookware any cook desires, plus dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker. Beaches close enough to walk for the young folks. Only drawback is lack of car parking at the beach, but easy to unload. My daughters and granddaughter stayed in a newer cottage nearby and we walked to Stop 50 for a late pizza lunch, and New Buffalo with its restaurants and beach is ten minutes north. Toddler granddaughter loved the sand and the baby waves! Highly recommend for a quiet stay while amazingly close to Chicago."

With so many things virtually at your doorstep, this cottage is the Perfect Getaway any time of year. A quiet cozy cottage in a unique area within a short relaxing walk to clean, sandy, and quiet Lake Michigan Beach. Sleeps 6-8 people comfortably. The open, bright, and pleasing feel inside the cottage is enriched with elements to tie it in with the surrounding woods and coastal atmosphere. When the air conditioning is not desired, the large opened windows let in the light as well as the soothing roar of the waves over the dunes on the lakeshore and the seabreezes wafting through the trees. During the Autumn and Winter seasons, a roaring fire in the fireplace completes the ambience of the wooded wonderland.

WHAT'S PROVIDED

The entire cottage space is included for our guests' use. Bed, bath, and kitchen linens are provided as well as kitchen dinnerware, cookware, silverware, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave oven. The only items guests really need to bring are their clothes, swimming and other sporting gear, and any food items they wish to consume during their stay. In addition to the newly remodeled bathroom inside, the outside shower provides guests the chance to rinse off al fresco upon returning from the beach. Speaking of the beach, this property comes with beach rights, so you will have access to the exclusive, beautiful beach that only neighborhood residents and guests enjoy. This beach also offers the option of having a beach fire to roast hot dogs and smores and enjoy a flickering flame under the twinkling stars at night (we will provide you with the simple directions to get a fire permit).

Welcome to "One Sweet World," the newest vacation rental in White Pine, New Buffalo, Michigan. This charming home completed its main level construction in late 2023 and is ready to welcome guests.

Featuring two bedrooms with king beds and ensuite bathrooms, one with a separate soaking tub and walk-in shower, and the other with a shower/tub combo, this home is designed for comfort. The open concept living space includes a family room with a smart TV, a dining area, and a kitchen, all surrounded by picture windows offering views of the woods and fishing pond. A convenient half guest bathroom is also available. A large deck off the living room offers incredible morning views of the birds & fishing pond. Please note, the washer/dryer is located in the unfinished basement.

Note that while the home has lower and upper levels, they are unfinished and not accessible to guests.
The White Pine Resort community boasts a 45-foot pool, sun deck, walking trails, and a stocked fishing pond with a pier. Just 5 minutes from Downtown New Buffalo and public beaches, this retreat offers both tranquility and convenience.

The Space:
This Charming cottage is BIG on comfort. There are many seating areas in home and yard for enjoying a book, your favorite beverage or watching the kids play. We are less than a mile to two beach accesses, and centered between New Buffalo, MI and Michigan City, IN for shopping and restaurants. Indiana Dunes Nat'l Park, Warren Dunes Sate Park, New Buffalo Public Beach, and Washington Park Beach, all within 20 minutes.

- There is technically only ONE bedroom. The second sleeping area is the loft. The loft has two twin beds and its own bathroom. While it is private, It is a true loft so there is no door. If you would like more pictures please feel free to ask!

During winter months, there is a good chance the main house will not be rented and you are welcome to enjoy the entire exterior of the property (hot tub, playground, fire pit, etc). The Guesthouse also has its own separate private firepit in a beautiful private setting.

The wonderful spacious guesthouse (above the garage) features a fully stocked kitchenette (mini-fridge, cooktop and microwave), separate bedroom with a beautiful large king bed, large bathroom (entry from bedroom and living room), and a very comfortable queen size pull out sofa.

You will absolutely love the Grand Beach area in New Buffalo Michigan! Hear the waves crashing from the driveway or take a nice walk (or golf cart if available) through the beautiful winding wooded roads to one of the only sandy beaches in Southwest Michigan. As evening rolls around, sit yourself down in one of the classy Adirondack chairs with a favorite beverage in hand, and chat with your friends or count shining stars to your heart’s content! If you like, there are beach supplies and bikes for you to ride, too. Speaking of beach stuff, once you get back from the beach and want to rinse off, there’s a cool outdoor shower!

- "Home was clean and seems newly updated with a very well supplied kitchen. The neat round shape makes the home have a unique layout, but we had plenty of room and the furnishings were comfortable. We enjoyed the deck space, outdoor fire pit and hammock. Several game options the kids enjoyed. We did have a bit of confusion with the light switches and i believe turned off one that controlled wifi. The help line was immediately available and helped walk us through it. The neighborhood seemed safe and quiet. We walked to nearby beach access for sunsets (no parking at the access). Overall a great stay."

The Space:
This Charming cottage is BIG on comfort. There are many seating areas in home and yard for enjoying a book, your favorite beverage or watching the kids play. Good stock of games for family time. We provide a pack n play along with the pack n play mattress. Upon request (no later than 72 hours) we can also provide an infant tub, or convenient items such as a highchair, sit n stay and toddler toys. Please just let us know what you need and we will try to accommodate. We are less than a mile to two beach accesses, and centered between New Buffalo, MI and Michigan City, IN for shopping and restaurants. Indiana Dunes Nat'l Park, Warren Dunes Sate Park, New Buffalo Public Beach, and Washington Park Beach, all within 20 minutes.

Guest Access:
Entire house and yard are accessible to guest. Wood Burning stove in Kitchen cannot be used due to insurance regulations.

- "The property was as described and extremely private. We would definitely go back. I gave an overall 5 star as it was deserved. Being a new listing, I am going to make a few suggestions for improvement. 1) There are cameras outside in the front and rear of the house which startled some of the guests. I understand the reasoning but did not notice it in the listing (it is there) prior to my visit. I believe it should be addressed during the booking process or a heads up prior to arrival is in order. 2) The house has more amenities than are identified in the listing which required calls for clarification. Is there a coffee maker, is there firewood, are there towels for the pool et. cet. 3) For pool cleaners. mosquito squad, and other vendors I would recommend giving the renters a time window in lieu of "they may stop by during your stay" I share these things to assist with the rentors perfection of the experience but the rental is a 5 star and I would return."

If you're looking for a little cottage in the woods, look no further! The Blue Spruce in Michiana Shores can accommodate 6 people. This charming 2 bedroom, one bath cottage is just a few blocks to a private beach on Lake Michigan and close to the horse stable or charming Stop 50 pizza place.

As you enter the home, you enter the living room, with plenty of seating for conversations. The bedrooms are on the side of the home away from enteraining areas, so people can rest in peace. TheMaster Bedroom has a King Size bed with plenty extra room. Bedroom #2 has two twins. The full bathroom is located between the two rooms.

The Kitchen is fully stocked with a gas stove range, dishwasher and plenty of coutner space. The dining table seats 6 very comfortably. Off the kitchen there are steps down to the basement, with a full size washer and dryer, addtional bathroom.

The Den is just off the kitchen and has a t.v. and plenty of seating. One of the couches converts into a full sofa bed.

- "Excellent location!" - "First the incorrect lockbox code was provided. When we walked in the property immediately smelled very musty. All the chairs have stains on them. The TV is too small for the size of the room and nothing found as to channels available which appeared to be very few. The patio was in need of power washing and general cleaning of the outdoor furniture. One positive was the close proximity to the lake. We both woke with sinus issues due to the musty smell which tells us the property is not a safe health environment."

Sharing over 100 acres this vacation home has everything you need to make memories, just minutes to Lake Michigan, Wineries, Breweries and all that Northwest Indiana and Harbor Country has to offer.

- "This is a nice, clean, and incredibly quiet sanctuary with tons of open space, trails, and wildlife. The home is adequately accommodated and stocked for a weekend stay. The cons were very few washcloths/towels and a fairly firm, small(double) master bed. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and none of the cons greatly took away from that." - "Property manager was very helpful when we were missing a key. The house was awesome, no tech there (one old TV with VCR/DVD hookup) except for internet which was fine with us. Great kitchen, baths, bedrooms, decks, all great. The farm is amazing with trails, ponds, meadows, marshes, dunes, amazing houses built into the earth with solar power, natural gray water and septic systems, community gardens, natural pond/pool (residents only). Would be a great place to retire. Many public beaches were closed, but in Michigan, more luck with wineries, beaches in state parks, farm markets, antiquing, and relaxing. This area is one of my most favorite places to be."

A small but mighty kitchenette is home to your morning coffee thanks to a Moccamaster coffee machine, oven/range, dishwasher, fridge + microwave. The dining table is your place to enjoy meals or gather for game night (no pressure to dine indoors though, you can always indulge in the natural splendor and utilize our slick Cowboy Cauldron Grill or a simple campfire).

The in-room gas fireplace keeps things toasty.

If you must remain connected to the real world, the wifi and tv are solid.
