As you enter Unit A you will be welcomed into the living space with a sofa and smart TV with streaming capabilities. Off the living room is a newly updated kitchen with quartz countertops, beautiful grey kitchen cabinets, and brand new stainless steel appliances. There is also a half bathroom located off of the living room and kitchen. Through the kitchen you will find the back door that leads to Unit A's private back porch area. The second floor of Unit A features two bedrooms; a Primary bedroom with King Bed, second bedroom with Queen bed, and a newly updated full bathroom with countertop space and large mirror perfect for getting ready for your day! Located in the 2nd floor bathroom is also a washer and dryer.

The back yard features a porch that overlooks the fire pit area.

The property is divided into two unit - Unit A & Unit B. This Unit, Unit A, is located on the left side of the building and can be accessed with the unique smart lock code at the front porch.

Other Things to Note:
The building is split in half with Unit A & Unit B separated on either side. This listing give guests access to Unit A which is located on the left side of the building and has 2-bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. The back deck that overlooks the fire-pit is a shared space. The unit includes an interior door that connects to Unit B, but it will remain locked and is not accessible during your stay. This door is only used when the entire home is booked as one unit.

We only had one small concern: -If you are bringing a small child along, I would caution that it is not toddler friendly because you would need a gate for the stairs (there is no doorway at the top), and the dishes & even china (which looked lovely) were displayed on lower shelves in the kitchen area without cabinet doors. These were very tempting to a toddler. Ours thankfully did not snatch at any of them, but I know many toddlers would have. That being said, still a nice place to stay. Overall a GREAT experience."

Really a unique place! You really feel like you're way out in the country.
Walk down to the river, skip stones on the pond, sit and listen to the birds. Fantastic fireplace, a great kitchen.
We have 2 bedrooms. The Master bedroom has a Queen size bed and a sofa bed, the "Library" has a trundle bed with 2 twin beds that can connect or not. In the living room there is a sofa bed that bends back to become a full bed. We also have a few Queen size raised air beds to set up in a large tent or on the porch.
For more than 4 guests, the price is $50/ night for each extra guest. 8 guests are a full house!

We love dogs, and have had guests brings their dogs for the last 9 years.
But the house always gets torn up, screens ripped, etc.
If you want to stay, and have a dog, and you can assure me that your dog won't bark all the time and be quiet, and does not shed, let's talk about it.

Some of the time I stay in my vintage RV at the other end of the property. I value my guests' privacy, so you will not see or hear me, unless you need me! My iPhone is the front desk!

- "Five of us travelled to Michigan for the long Memorial Day weekend. We had activities planned for everyday. We visited the Air Zoo, Warren State Park, Airway fun center and many more. It was wonderful to go out during the day and enjoy everything Michigan had to offer. But, in the evenings we had a wonderful quiet spot to retreat and relax. The property is lined with large trees, flower beds everywhere, a garden, and plenty of wildlife. One day we came home to deer in the front yard and the local birds provided endless entertainment. The house was cozy and relaxed and felt like coming home for the night. We had a wonderful time, Donna was very accessible during our stay. Also, we had a lot of great food while staying here but the Journeyman Distillery nearby, was everyone’s favorite meal during our stay. They had great Detroit style pizza. We loved our green space getaway and Donna was a wonderful host."

The yard is perfect for lawn games (corn hole is provided) or for your well-behaved, four-legged best friend to enjoy. In the evening, you can relax with your favorite beverage around the fire pit, take a dip in the hot tub, or gaze at the stars when the sky is clear. There are three bedrooms - 2 with Queen beds and a third with a daybed/trundle that provides 2 twins, and there’s a washer and dryer for your use. For entertainment, the home offers board games, cards, books, high speed Internet, YouTube TV with local and cable channels and Roku/Smart TV to access streaming apps.

Pet policy:

Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the cottage (limit 2) - I love to travel with my dogs, too! - and I'm asking that guests follow these rules to keep the cottage clean and welcoming for other guests who may have pet sensitivities:

1) Please do not allow pets on the furniture unless it is covered - covers are provided and are washed between guest stays.
2) Pets should not sleep on the beds - please use one of the 2 dog beds provided or your own.
3) Dog bowls are available and should be used for all feeding/drinking - please do not use other dishes for your pets.
4) Please wash/bathe dogs outside.
5) Please use the paw wipes that are provided at the front and back doors.
6) Please clean up after your pet in the yard - this will keep there are bags provided and a trash can right outside - as well as a scooper.
