- "We really enjoyed our stay at Bastione. This is a an old manor home full of Sicilian aristocratic history. The A/C worked well in all of the bedrooms and the kitchen/dining rooms were very well equipped for large dinners our family hosted. Alberto and his wife were so gracious from beginning to end. They were able to turn most of the double beds into singles at our request. He also gave us tons of information on local sites/beaches. (side note: Sayonara beach club was awful/rundown, but Lido La Fenice is just a few minutes further and it is really well-managed.) WiFi was spotty in a couple of rooms, but we managed my moving to another room. The downstair lounge converted easily into a 5th bedroom with A/C. The owners were very responsive to our text messages via What's App. Thank you, Alberto, for a wonderful stay! This is a large, beautiful house which can accommodate a very large extended family. You will want cars (parking is easy) as there isn't much to walk to."

We called to say we would be late The owner of the house , yes a house , this is NOT a Hotel .The owner said we have to pay another 100 euro per person if there is more than one person staying . The site clearly states Family Suite 3 bed room with view .I booked this for family of 5 , which was clear in the booking . The propery owner said only one person for that and he will not allow anyone to stay unless we pay him another additional 100euro per person. We made arrangement at the last minute elsewhere to accommodate family He would not accept refunding the money we already paid to Orbitz . Stay away from booking here ! Some people in this world are out to pick pocket others and pull whatever scam they can to take advantage of travelers . This person is one of them . Zero integrity just a thief .Total scam . Orbitz and other sites should black ball individuals like this .. I do not know how these scammers are not verified before they are allowed to post their places .
