It is a Palazzo that has been wonderfully and tastefully renovated. My room had an incredible view of the sea and the bells from an old church nearby. Waking up and looking out of the window and facing the morning light was unforgettable. I have stayed in many top hotels around the world- besides the above, what distinguishes this hotel is the people working there- the staff at the restaurant (Armando, Vincenzo) are outstanding. The staff at reception as well! I had a massage with Giovanna that was perfect after a morning hike from Castelmora to Madonna della Rocca to Taormina - highly recommended! All in all a fantastic experience at the Palazzo Vecchio where the staff made me feel so welcome!"
