Blackberry Meadows is the name we have given our cherished 5 acres of property. It has been in the family for over 35 years and currently has three generations living on it. Our property is "off the beaten path" backing onto the Trans-Canada trail and open fields which boast the spectacular views of Mt. Baker. Grab a handful of wild berries and enjoy walking the trails just off the back of our field. If you're a nature lover and enjoy the QUIET, this place is for you!

Our guest suite is an open concept studio boasting a cozy river rock fireplace, rain shower, kitchenette, queen size Murphy bed, desk space for business trips and your very own private outdoor balcony overlooking the property as well as the majestic Mt. Baker.

Although not a full kitchen, the kitchen is stocked with a mini fridge, freezer, Tassimo coffee maker, dishes, utensils, a hot plate, toaster oven, pots and pans, kettle, a few snacks, drinks and microwave.
If you let me know ahead of time, I can have a pac'n play set up for your little one, as well as some age appropriate toys.

The house was very well stocked and the only problem was that there were a lot of spiderwebs but the host had told us that they come back very quickly after being removed. - "We had a funeral in Lake Errock and this was a great place to stay. The description was perfect. The conditions were as described except for the kitchen being a little dirty. Last person that stayed had checked out the same day we checked in and they were just a little short on time to clean. We had no problem cleaning what was missed and the property manager was very apologetic about it. Bedrooms were clean and beds very comfortable. Showers and towels were clean. Would stay here again. Plenty of incidentals were readily available and we did not need to contact anyone to get more."

This cozy, modern above ground 1 bedroom & 1 bathroom basement suite is bright and spacious and offers everything you will need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. 70 inch TV w/ cable & Netflix, large sectional sofa with double pull out bed, Wifi, central air, in-suite laundry, quality linens with extra bedding. Lots of large windows which let in an abundance of natural light and a dedicated work space overlooking the backyard. Ample free parking in the driveway or street parking right in front of the home.

The space
Your Home Away From Home is fully equipped for a short or long term stay.

The kitchen is large and bright with a breakfast bar and seating for 2. The kitchen includes everything you will need to cook any meal including: crock pot, waffle maker, blender, juicer, rice cooker, coffee grinder, french press, Keurig one cup coffee machine, teapot including complimentary teas/sugar & more.The dining area has seating for 6.

Bathroom includes bathtub and shower, hair dryer, washer/ dryer with laundry soap provided for short term stays under 1 month. Good sized bedroom with brand new Queen size bed, large closet and an abundance of storage space.

Just outside your door you have your own covered sitting area with extra blankets for cooler nights, a Weber bbq and propane fire pit. Propane tanks for fire pit can be provided for $30. There is also a large safe covered area that can be used to store your bikes, kayaks, etc.

I also have a full service in home salon and am a certified hair stylist with 15 years of experience for all your hair styling needs during your stay. Ask for the link to my hairdressing page for more info. Bookings required.

Guest access
Private parking in driveway as well as ample street parking right in front of our home. Suite access is to the left side of the home down the walkway, through the wrought iron gate and access the private entrance from the back yard. Lockbox with key provided for self check in.
Other things to note
We have 2 kitties (Toffee & Gypsy) that roam freely around the property as well as a gentle and very friendly Cane Corso dog (Kona) who loves people. She is quiet aside from the occasional bark when someone arrives at the home or if there is a racoon or skunk in the area. For those who are not comfortable with dogs we can close the gate from our large patio upstairs during your stay.

Located in Abbotsford, this welcoming vacation home brings it all within your reach. Jump into your car and make short work of the 18-minute drive to Abbotsford Exhibition Park or the 20-minute drive to Abbotsford Centre (and enjoy the property's convenient onsite parking in the meantime).

After you return, you can unwind by the communal pool or sip a drink in the garden; you may also like the deck or patio and outdoor furniture. As for the great indoors, you can come inside and enjoy the WiFi and TV.

Located near the best wineries and pubs in the Fraser valley and minutes from Abbotsford airport.

- "The log house was lovely. We were there during the Feb snowfall so little could be done outdoors. It was equipped with most kitchen essentials but we couldn’t find a cork screw. All in all a pleasant stay. " - "Nice property. " - "We had a little mini 2 night vacation as a family. The cabin was spacious and easily accommodated our family group A nice escape from the city without being far. A couple downsides - no microwave and only one bowl for serving. We had to improvise to set out our meals and snacks. The single cup coffee machine was broken so we needed to go get instant coffee to brew a pot. Beds only had flat sheets on the mattress and then a comforter No top sheet Bathroom drawers had long hairs in them and one grill pan had been put away unwashed But other than that very clean. Other than these small inconveniences it was a great stay. Kitchen is stocked with pots and pans and plates and cups etc. but no sugar for the coffee so be sure to bring anything you might need. Cabin was very cold on arrival but heated up quite quickly thanks to a cozy gas fireplace in addition to central heat. Host has quick communication. Check in process was easy. "

- "This is a cute 2 bedroom cottage upgraded with fine finishing's. Open kitchen/living dining with picture windows a great deck and views of the lake. We were there for hockey in Abbotsford. The drive to Summit Centre was only 15 minutes. and shopping at Superstore was right down the road, as well as restaurants bars etc. Our boys spent all of their down time fishing for bass. Who wouldn't rather a cabin on the lake compared to hotel rooms in the city!"

To assist our cleaning team and make things a little easier, we kindly ask that you complete a few quick steps before checking out:
