Summer or winter, the area is full of outdoor recreation opportunities: skiing and snowboarding, snowmobiling and snowshoeing; rafting, hiking, swimming in the hot springs, 4-wheeling, biking, fishing, and ghost-town exploring.

This mountain style vacation home is 2368 square feet in size. Inside you are welcomed into a Great Room with cathedral ceilings accented with log stairs and rails, and a Waterford gas stove. This open floor plan has a completely furnished kitchen with large dining table, and a large living room area. A bath with shower is also located on this main level. Windows all around bring the outside in. Two French Doors in the Great Room open to the large balcony which overlooks the river.

Located upstairs from the main level is a cozy open sleeping loft with cathedral ceiling and two queen beds.

Located downstairs: a master bedroom with king size bed, a second bedroom with queen size bed, and an open bunk room with 2 twin beds (no bunk beds). Each bedroom has a door leading to the deck by the river. A full bath is also located on this lower level.

- "Absolutely one of the best places to stay! So comfortable for all 7 of us! Loved the seclusion and quiet atmosphere! We had a couple questions and the property management responded within 5 minutes! We will stay there again!" - "My family and I had a great stay! Super close to Monarch and town, secluded enough to relax. Loved it!" - "Love that there are (3) king size beds! Great proximity to Monarch Skiing, only 10 min away! " - "House itself was well laid out for an extended family. Beds were comfortable and the living area had enough room for everyone to sit. Check in was weird. We arrived a little after 4p check in and there was someone walking around the house. We waited just sitting in the car for 20m before coming up to the door. Turns out it was a solo cleaner that was running behind but rather than running out to ask us to come back, he just showed avoided eye contact and kept running around. We went to the door to ask him if we should come back and he said no. The rest of check in was fine but once unloaded we noticed the floors hadn't been cleaned. There was leftover popcorn on the main rug, hair balls on the stairs to the loft etc. We called the management company and they said the last folks had left the house in a mess, which I guess we inherited, and that we would be refunded our cleaning fee. Didn't think any more of it, but three weeks after trip, still hadn't seen a cleaning fee refund so emailed in. They didn't respond but an autogenerated email confirmed they provided a $50 credit. Overall I'd stay again because the location and layout are great, but the management company leaves something to be desired."

- "Great location. Yes, you are off US 50, but between you and the highway, there are two creeks that will drown out any road noise with running water. The place itself is well thought out. The windows alone make the place seem huge and offer great views. Hummingbirds are all over. It's quite, on a dead end street, with access to fishing and 4x4ering beyond that all the way to Monarch Crest. Would be a great place to stay for skiing Monarch too."

Welcome to Rocky Top Cabin's A & B
Rocky Top Cabin's A & B are two cozy cabins located in the charming hamlet of Garfield, Colorado. Cabin A is a bi-level cabin with one bedroom, while Cabin B is a studio-style cabin with a queen-size bed. These cabins are perfect for all year-round relaxation and outdoor fun.
The cabins are located next door to each other, and are just minutes away from Monarch Mountain's all-natural snow for skiing and riding. The Monarch Crest Trail for world-class mountain biking is also nearby.

**During the winter months, it is recommended to access the cabins with a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

**Please note that these cabins back onto Highway 50, and there may be highway noise at times.

Cabin A offers:
-1 Queen size bed on the second level
-Full size sleeper sofa in the living room
-Well equipped kitchen- two burner electric plate and Oster Convection Oven
-Wi-fi (can be spotty in the mountains)

****There is only parking for two vehicles, one in each driveway. There is no room for trailers or RV's/Campers.

All Pinon homes are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soaps are provided, as well as toilet paper, trash bags, salt and pepper and coffee filters. Bring your own laundry detergent, paper napkins and toiletries.

Pinon Vacation Rentals provides guest support from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 pm.

Renters must abide by all rental terms and policies, as well as all local applicable property covenants, restrictions, regulations and laws. Any evidence of smoking, use of firearms, driving ATV's other than in the driveway as access only, unapproved over-occupancy or pets, unauthorized use of property grounds, damage resulting from violation of rental policies, and/or excessive mess may result in charges up to $1000.00 to the Guest's credit card on file, as authorized by Guest's approval of the terms of the Rental Agreement.

Reservations may be canceled more than 30 days prior to check-in with full refund minus a $125 Cancellation fee or a $75 Change fee if applicable. No refunds will be issued after this cut-off date for any reason. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions.**

Our cabin is located in the historic mining town of Garfield, CO (close to Monarch) at an elevation of 9,500 feet. Surrounded by the San Isabel Nation Forest, views of timbered slopes by day and star-filled nights make this a mountain setting you won't want to forget. This is perfect for a family retreat! There's plenty of trails to be found. Biking, hunting, fishing, and skiing are all easily accessible in the area. Sleeping arrangements include 4 queen beds with enough space for 8 people. Amenities include linens, towels, BBQ grill, wireless internet, a full kitchen, local internet, firepit, washer/dryer, and family games. Smoking/vaping/marijuana/drugs strictly prohibited. No pets. We require a minimum of two nights for all bookings; no exceptions and no discounts.
