The Cottage interior is beautifully decorated in a simple and casual mountain style with a spacious living area featuring comfortable seating and plenty of room to relax, watch TV, read, do puzzles or play games. Internet is a must, and it's high-speed wireless. The adjoining dining area is flooded throughout the day with beautiful, natural light and has amazing views out each window. This listing is for the "Master Cabin" it is the cabin to the right of the largest building seen in the main picture of this listing. It literally sits just feet from the banks of the Rio Grande River. Along with all of our cabins it has access to the river and all outside living and recreational areas including picnic areas, outdoor fire pits, hot tub, hammock, tree swing and river swimming hole. The Master Cabin is a 350 square foot Norwegian style hand hewn dovetail log cabin which we built ourselves. All the cabins sit on 8 1/2 secluded acres along the banks of the Rio Grande River, a "Gold Medal River" fishery as designated by the state of Colorado. There are 4 other cabins located on this property; we live in one (the 2-story cabin in the middle) the other 2 cabins are also available on VRBO individually or as a group, the Guest cabin (on the left) VRBO listing #953542 and the Studio VRBO listing # 953410 (it sits behind the cabins in the main picture). This Master Cabin includes a queen size bed, leather chairs, full bathroom, gas fireplace, flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, small fridge, coffee and coffee pot. This cabin does not include a kitchen but has an outdoor picnic table with sail shades, gas grill and sits by the main fire pit area which has grill grates and a fire pit wok.

We have inflatable kayaks, a raft and innertubes available for our guests to use free of charge (with waiver and damage deposit) to float in the river on a nice sunny day, 2-night minimum stay required. We will also shuttle guests for float trips when available and prearranged. In winter we also have snowshoes available for our guests to use and get out and explore the area.

Kayaks, rafts, tubes and snowshoes are all seasonal activities.

Both bathrooms: have been updated with heated floors and include grab bars. The Master bath has a stone shower (with shower panel + small seat) and a bidet. The Guest bath has a standard-size tub that is Jetted, heated, and has LED lights.

The spacious living room: has a direct view of Beaver mountain. It has a Smart TV and large sectional with 2 electric recliners and a pull-out queen sofa sleeper. There is also a large fireplace/sitting area (wood is provided in the cooler seasons). There is a private door to the front of the house.

The work space/small desk/office chair: is located in the living room.

The Kitchen: has been updated with new appliances, TV, maple butcher block island, and granite counter tops. It is fully stocked for your cooking needs. There is an Electric fireplace to heat and for ambiance. The dining room will seat 6 people. We have extension for the dining room table and additional chairs in the garage.

The Laundry room: has been updated with new washer and dryer, utility sink, and has a folding table + expandable clothes rack. It also has a large pantry.

The front patio, has four rockers and side tables to relax and enjoy the view of Beaver Mountain.

The back deck/patio: has been newly painted. There is a stainless steel propane grill with grilling accessories and a standalone propane fire pit. Also, Patio table/4 chairs and two low chairs and side table. The yard is fenced in closely with metal fencing. Our property extends past the fence and is a treed lot.

The Garage can accommodate one vehicle. Includes a ping pong table and dart board available for guest use. There are old coolers, camping chairs, and snow sleds available for use. There is a long driveway that can accommodate multiple cars and trailer.

Complete in 2021, Max's Cabin is our first site-built cabin/tiny home! This cabin was designed, with our help, by a Pagosa Springs architect to include interesting and rustic features. The footprint is 420 sq. feet, but this tiny home has a 200 sq. ft. standing-height sleeping loft for a total of 620 sq. ft. The tall ceiling makes the cabin feel very spacious!

This cabin is ADA accessible, but every effort was made to make it comfortable and functional for all guests. This cabin has a small kitchen, with an electric cooktop, refrigerator, large sink and eating bar. Outside there is a gorgeous covered patio, which is very private looking up toward Del Norte Peak.
