They seem to be set up to do bookings on other sites, not on Hotels.com. They told me it was to prevent them from being "defrauded," which was concerning as I was being told I might not have access to the property that I'd paid so much money for nearly 2 months prior. With a group of friends flying in and no confirmation, this was very stressful and honestly needless, as this software they force you to use didn't work and they manually "approved" me anyway. In my opinion, when I pay for something on Hotels.com my payment is my "approval.""
