This newly remodeled home has exterior stone quarried from across the ridge, view galore, old world vibes and pilates studio access (additional charge). Situated a mile from Red Rocks amphitheatre (20 min walk), 2 mi. from adorable Morrison, 6 mi. from Golden and conveniently located off of i-70. The perfect location for a concert stay, ski vacation or quiet retreat in nature ( NOT PARTIES).

It’s minutes away from a great coffee shop that has gluten-friendly options. The cabin is also conveniently located near great hikes, lakes, and the Red Rock Amphitheater! The drive from the cabin to Echo lake is breathtaking! The hosts are very accommodating, responsive, and shared great points of interest to make time for during our stay! The studio is above our garage. We live in the home next to the garage and are usually available if you need anything.

Your glamping site “Hug a Bear” is romantically lit at night time and artistically decorated. The tent is waterproof and protected by a carport, that offers a covered porch. The artwork (by Sabin, your host) covering the tent was exhibited at the McNichols Civic Center Building Downtown Denver a few years ago. Now it is enveloping your restful night under the starry sky of Colorado. The space offers you a coffee maker, a water kettle, water dispenser, BBQ and electricity. You will enjoy the delightful back side view of the famous Hogback mountain.

Just a few steps away from your tent site and next to the parking area you will find a clean portable toilet and we offer a simple outdoor shower with hot water.

We do our best to provide many of the comforts of a home for your "glamping" experience but make sure you are prepared to stay in the great outdoors which includes bugs and it is still camping. If you dont like bugs or occasional spiders, this might not be for you. We cannot control the changes that both weather and the surrounding environment may cause. Although we provided an extra blanket and the tent has mosquito nets, we encourage bringing bug spray, warm clothes, flash lights, extra drinking water and other items you might need to make your stay pleasant. Please be aware of the weather and plan to dress accordingly. In cooler weather we will provide a heater.

THE SPACE:
Park under the carport. Enter on first floor where you will find a foosball table, large leather sectional sofa with with 85in TV and numerous board games.

There is a half bath next to the washer and dryer. This floor also has a snowboard / ski rack if needed.

Stairwell takes you to level 2 where you will find the fully stocked kitchen, living room, dining room, full bathroom and 3rd bedroom with queen bed. There are decks on the front and back of this floor. Backyard access from this floor.

Stairs from here take you to third level with Primary bedroom (king bed) and bedroom #2 (queen bed). Shared restroom in hallway, not ensuite. Both bedrooms have access to a balcony that overlooks back yard.

**There is no garage or shed access.

Other things to note
* STAIRS: Beautiful three-story home spread across multiple levels. Guests should be comfortable with stairs!

* WIFI, STREAMING, AND PHONE RECEPTION: We use Starlink and it does not disappoint. Streaming multiple devices, conference calls etc are no problem! Cell service is not usually an issue either of you connect to WiFi.

* HIKING: The house sits on 2 acres and the land around the house is beautiful. There are numerous rock outcroppings and a creek on two sides. There are also steep cliffs if you stray from the path, so please be careful! No kids under 12 permitted for this reason.

* PARKING + WINTER CONDITIONS:
The road to us is plowed all winter (along with our driveway). We do our best to maintain it with a regular plow service, but you will most likely encounter snowy conditions in the winter. Our driveway can be problematic for cars not properly equipped to handle snow. A 4wd or AWD is suggested October through March.

* SUMMER - It is uncommon for mountain homes to have AC. We do not have AC but have various windows that can be opened along with ceiling d or Dyson fans in bedrooms.

* WILDLIFE: You may encounter deer, foxes, occasional moose or mountain lions and bears. Please don't feed them for your safety and for theirs too! We do have bird seed for the birds if you are so inclined.

* FIRES: Charcoal grills and outdoor fire pits are never permitted due to the dry climate. Open fires and fireworks Will result in a fine and immediate eviction.

* REFUNDS: We can not provide last-
minute refunds due to the weather.
Please consider trip insurance if you think you might need to cancel last minute.

* SMOKING: No smoking inside the
home. Any guests who smoke must do so outdoors and must appropriately dispose of cigarette butts in the receptacle provided. A $100 fine will be imposed if butts are found littering the Property.

Your glamping site “Kiss a Cat” is romantically lit at night time and artistically decorated. The artwork (by Sabin, your host) covering the tent was exhibited at the McNichols Civic Center Building Downtown Denver a few years ago. Now it is enveloping your restful night under the starry sky of Colorado. The space offers you a coffee maker, a water kettle, water dispenser, BBQ, a heated mattress pad and electricity.You will enjoy the delightful back side view of the famous Hogback mountain.

Just a few steps away from your campsite you will find our bath house with a clean portable toilet, hot shower and hand sink. You also will find a fridge inside, where you can keep your refreshments and your food fresh and cool. It is entirely made from reclaimed materials and it adds glamor and luxury to your glamping experience! To minimize our environmental impact, we use a greywater system. The liquid soap provided is a diluted, biodegradable formula that nourishes our garden as it drains. While it may feel lighter than conventional soap, rest assured it's gentle on both your skin and the environment.

We do our best to provide many of the comforts of a home for your "glamping" experience but make sure you are prepared to stay in the great outdoors which includes bugs and it is still camping. If you do not like bugs or occasional spiders this might not be for you. We cannot control the changes that both weather and the surrounding environment may cause. Although we provided an extra blanket and the tent has mosquito nets, we encourage bringing bug spray, warm clothes, flash lights, extra drinking water and other items you might need to make your stay pleasant. Please be aware of the weather and plan to dress accordingly. In cooler weather we will provide a heater.

Step inside, and you’ll be greeted by the inviting living room, featuring a sectional sofa and a smart TV – perfect for lounging or catching up on your favorite shows. Behind the sofa, there’s a cozy bar area where your friends can sit and snack while watching the game. This versatile space also doubles as a convenient spot to set up your work-from-home station, offering a comfortable and functional area for remote work during your stay.

Inside this newly renovated gem, you’ll find two inviting bedrooms, each equipped with a TV and wall-mounted electric heaters to keep you cozy, as well as an electric heater mounted in the spa like bathroom for extra comfort.

For your convenience and entertainment, the Bears Den is thoughtfully equipped with a sleeper sectional sofa, complete with linens stored inside, perfect for additional guests. The full kitchen has everything you need for home-cooked meals. Beautifully renovated, this kitchen is a true highlight. Check out Mount Falcon Park and Parmalee Park down the road or the well-known Three Sisters Park or Evergreen Lake nearby in Evergreen. Try your hand at water sports like whitewater rafting or wakeboarding in Morrison, or experience a concert like no other under the stars at Red Rocks!

If you're looking for a day in the city, take a short trip to Golden or Downtown Denver for spectacular eats, shopping, museums, and events! Drive a little over an hour and a half through a dramatic canyon for a day of hiking, sightseeing, and wildlife viewing. Depending on your destination, skiing is 1-3 hours away. Locals head to Echo Mountain, Eldora (near Boulder), or Loveland (near Georgetown) for a more low-key experience. We're also within 1.5 hours of Arapahoe Basin, Winter Park, Keystone, Copper Mountain, and Breckenridge.

This location is the perfect jumping-off point for exploring the best of Colorado's mountain towns, the Rockies, and even Denver if you're missing the city life! But, of course, it's impossible to see everything in one visit, so we look forward to hosting you again after you fall in love with Colorado living.

Getting Around:
Mountain living and exploring require you to get around by car. We recommend an AWD or 4WD for mountain driving, especially during winter. Downtown Denver is East of where you will be staying, and West you can explore the Rocky Mountains. I-70 West will take you further into the mountains, and CO-470 will take you to Golden, jumping on US-6 to get to the heart of Denver. US Hwy 285 will take you South to Conifer and beyond.

Indian Hills is a small mountain community with many nearby mountain towns to explore, including Evergreen, Morrison, Golden, Conifer, Kittredge, and Idledale. Branch out a little further, and you can reach Idaho Springs and Georgetown in about a half hour or Keystone, Winter Park, and Fairplay in just over an hour. Some of the area's best attractions include Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater, Roxborough State Park, Coors Brewery Tour, Loveland Ski Resort, A-basin Ski Area, and even Downtown Denver's City Park, Denver Zoo, and Denver Botanic Gardens are less than an hour away. The Good Life Mountain Home, 15 minutes from Red Rocks Amphitheater, is a cozy bohemian mountain home with all the best vibes! Our intention is to provide you with a comfortable, peaceful place to stay in a beautiful setting. We welcome respectful friends, couples, families, and travelers to enjoy the fresh mountain air, private hot tub, and wellness room. Located in the hills of Morrison at 8,300 ft, minutes from Evergreen, beautiful hikes, restaurants, and much more!

This home is located on 2 acres of beautiful mountain land. You're very likely to see some wildlife while staying here with everything from Deer (including baby fawns in the summer), wild Turkeys, Moose, Elk, lizards, foxes, and maybe even a bobcat!

✤THE DRIVE WAY ✤
It has a relatively steep, paved driveway that requires 4x4 vehicles in the winter from October to May. Even though we are a short drive from the front range highways, the road heading up to the house is steep and winding. Please be prepared in the winter months.

We absolutely love animals but unfortunately can not have them in the house or on the property.

✤NEIGHBORHOOD ✤
This home is located in a beautiful, peaceful, quiet neighborhood. Please be mindful of the towns quiet hours from 10pm to 7am and the surrounding neighbors.

Guest access:
Guests have the entire home to themselves including a private backyard space with a hot tub.

Other things to note:
Our home is located at 8,300ft in elevation and is usually about 10 degrees cooler than the Denver area. The snowy season can start as early as September but usually doesn't go into full swing until November & December. That being said, Colorado has 300 days of blue skies and sun shine, so any time of the year is beautiful up here in the mountains!

If you are traveling during the months of November- May, we recommend a 4x4 vehicle.
We maintain our driveway very well in the winter, but just like all the other mountain homes in the area, the snow is out of our control and it's best to be prepared as possible.

If snow is in the forecast or is happening during your stay, we will make sure the drive way is cleared and decks are shoveled. Because the drive way is paved, snow will have to be removed as needed!

House Rules:
-No smoking of any kind on the premises in accordance with all Jefferson County short term rental rules.
-No pets allowed
-Quite hours are between 10pm - 7am
-No parties or events allowed
-No more than 6 guests maximum
-Only registered guest are allowed at the home.
-Absolutely no fires permitted on the property. This includes fireworks, sparklers, etc.
-Please bag all trash and empty them into the provided bear proof bins.
-Absolutely no unattended food at any time. We live in a highly populated area of bears, elk, deer, moose, and other animals.
-No illegal activities
-All wheel drive or 4x4 drive is highly suggested from the months of October to May.
-No more than 5 cars allowed on the property and no street parking
-Children must be under adult supervision at all time
-Our neighbors are friendly people, so please be respectful of outside noise and activities. We have a noise decibel meter to monitor noise levels during quiet hours in accordance with our county requirements
-The gas grill has a mechanical timer/ auto gas shutoff the must be turned on to use the grill
-In the event of a snow storm, the driveway and decks will be cleared prior to your arrival. If snow continues to fall during your stay and you would like more snow removal, please reach out and we are happy to accommodate!

❥ No mail to the house please. Deliveries are welcome and come to the front door.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
❥ Owners onsite in the basement unit which is separate and private from the upstairs unit. If your party has interest in renting out this unit, let us know as it sleeps an additional 2 people.
❥ Our dog Jackson stays with us in the basement apartment and may be seen or heard on occasion. If you meet him, he may bark and he has been known to “talk” or even howl quietly when alone. (He is rarely left alone) It’s rare and it’s pretty cute when it happens. - his nickname is "Sheriff"! He's well behaved, and we are responsible dog owners.
❥ You may see us, along with Jackson, our dog, in the yard occasionally.
❥ Dedicated private office available upon request for no extra charge. Note that I use the office when guests are not staying in the unit and it contains my personal belongings. Must be requested upon booking. Otherwise it is locked off.
❥ We will park in the driveway if space allows, otherwise all 3 spaces are yours if you need them.
❥ All original art is for sale- just inquire.
❥ Art has sharp edges and the home may not be suitable for small children
❥ AC doesn’t go below 70, we have a window AC and fan in the primary bedroom to assist.
❥ We unfortunately cannot accommodate late checkout due to our cleaning schedule.
❥ The mailbox is not available for guest use. Deliveries are welcome.
❥ We provide starter toiletries and paper supplies. Guests are responsible for their own supplies thereafter.

- "The Art Filled Home Near Red Rocks was a great find. It's easily located to everything from Rocky Mountain NP (~2hr), Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre (~15 min), Downtown Denver (~25min), and so much more. My family stayed here for a wedding in Larkspur and had an amazing time. The home itself is spacious, modern, and wonderfully colorful, with all of the art pieces their family has collected and those for sale created by Rocky. The space was definitely big enough for 4 adults and would easily accommodate larger groups. We loved the fire pit in the backyard and the kitchen/living area to gather. On a clear night, you can easily see thousands of stars, even with the slight haze of light pollution from Denver. Red Rocks pops up on places to see the night sky in Colorado, so for the stargazers out there, this home is ideally situated, only a short drive away and you see all the stars and possibly the Milky Way. The kitchen was full equipped, so meal prep was a breeze and nice touches, like the shampoos, soaps, and coffee and cream, really made it a breeze to get ready. The host, Salina, is amazing. She's incredibly quick and responsive to messages and provided us with some helpful tips with the house. Would definitely stay here again!"

Situated at 7,900 feet in the rolling foothills, this neighborhood provides a slice of mountain life within the metropolitan area of Denver. It's tucked away just east of Denver in the foothills, in a prime central location to both Red Rocks & Evergreen.

There is plenty of parking (driveway) for cars, campers, trailers, etc or feel free to use the 2 car heated covered garage.

IMPORTANT: 4WD vehicles are strongly recommended in winter months. Our contract with the snow plowing company states that plows will be deployed only once 6” of snow has accumulated on the roads. We will not be able to send someone until then.

It is extremely peaceful and quiet in the mountains and it is easy to hear the nature outdoors.

It is important to note that due to it being so quiet, noise is taken very seriously and there are noise monitors on the property

The internet here is Starlink WiFi services, offering speeds up to 200 Mbps, and is the best WiFi option available in the mountains!

Traveling during the winter has significant risks in Colorado due to snow storms. We provide a plowing service, however, during a storm it can take significant time for the driveway to be plowed. There are shovels and snow plow equipment provided in case of snow storms. During the winter months ALWAYS have chains available even if you have four wheel drive and/or snow tires.

During the summer there is extreme fire danger. There is absolutely NO tolerance for smoking and outdoor fires during the summer months. The county will HEAVILY fine you for creating any campfires plus it will be documented via cameras and/or neighbors.

Parking is limited to three cars. The driveway is very steep so please be cautious when driving during the snow or rain..

Since all stays are 30+ days and priced accordingly, we do not provide some basic consumables such as soaps, shampoos, paper towels, or toilet paper. There is a Costco (25 min) and a local King Soopers for any additional supplies you may need.
