Cherry View Cottage is located on the incredible Naramata Bench and set in a 2-acre cherry orchard. This well appointed home with open living spaces is a perfect place for friends and family to take advantage of the surrounding wineries & orchards. There is excellent access to enjoy visiting the lake, exploring hiking & biking trails along the KVR, or better yet relax with a glass of wine while taking in the incredible views of Okanagan lake. At 2,500 square feet over two levels the home has an open flow with excellent separation between bedrooms. On the upper floor there is a stunning master bedroom with a massive ensuite with an amazing soaker tub and stunning views from every window as well as a balcony. This is a perfect room to get ready for a special day. Next to the master is a second well appointed queen bedroom. It should be noted that most guests in bedroom 2 use the master ensuite bathroom as their bathroom. There is more then enough space for these two rooms to share, but something to note for anyone needing complete privacy in the master bedroom. The other 3 bedrooms - one queen and two bunk bed rooms - are located on the first floor and typically share the large bathroom with double sinks on that level. A great feature of this home is that all bedrooms are located to allow for separation of space - a nice feature for multiple families sharing.

Fully renovated in 2013 the home has a fantastic kitchen with plenty of areas to relax. This includes 2 patios, a comfortable siting area off the kitchen, and a great living room. Both patios offer excellent privacy- the back patio is particularly nice for enjoying a bit of shade in the peak of summer. Additional features include A/C, plenty of natural sun light, a fireplace, and 55 inch wall mounted flat screen TV for your enjoyment, dining room seating for 8 plus kitchen bar seating and bedrooms with fantastic beds. There is plenty of storage and personal touches throughout. We include free WIFI and cable TV.

Important: Our licence only allows for 10 people (2 per room), with the only exception for children under 2, please notify us at time of booking. We have had a problem of more guests coming and staying than originally booked, so if upon inspection there are more guests staying than originally booked (without prior authorization) the damage deposit will be forfeited and all guests will have to leave. An example, if you have booked for 10 guest and upon inspection there is 11 guests staying the damage deposit will be forfeited and all 11 guests will be asked to leave.

There is a driveway for 2 cars and an additional parking area closer to the road - ideally only for large cars not trucks or additional vehicles. We have an electronic door key for easy access. Please be aware that there may be a farm vehicle working in the orchard at times.

Cherry View Cottage is located in the heart of the Naramata Bench along Naramata Road. It's a short drive to Naramata Village, 3 mile beach, and a multitude of wineries. There is also a secret trail from our house to the KVR- just ask us how to find it!

Biking, walking or driving are all great ways to see the area. We can connect you with any information you need for enjoying your stay and the surrounding area.

All homes on the Naramata Bench are on septic systems. This means, except for toilet paper nothing else can be flushed down the toilets and nothing but water should go down the kitchen sink. Baby wipes, food scraps, any kind of oil etc. all needs to go into the garbage.
We are pet friendly, but there is a $50 charge per pet and they must be approved at time of booking.
WE DO NOT LIKE TO 'FINE' OUR GUESTS - but a penalty of $100 could be charged if the following are not compiled with.

Garbage/Trash - no food must be left outside - all garbage must be put into the basement during your stay and only put into the black bin by the entrance on the day of your departure.
Recycling - put in blue bin - we recommend using the small bins at the front door but they can be put into the large blue bin too.
DO NOT USE ANY BINS CLOSE TO THE ROAD (they are not ours).
BBQ - must be cleaned after every use.
Moving Furniture - if you move it, then you must move it back.
Bikes and large equipment are not to be brought in house- secure storage available if needed.
Pets must be approved prior to booking. A pet fee of $50 per pet applies. Pets are not allowed on furniture or beds. Pet waste found anywhere in the house, yard or orchard is subject to a $100 fine per excrement.
No smoking allowed, including all outdoor spaces.
Rate is for up to 8 people. Additional occupants will be charged at $25 per person, per night.

INSIDE THE SOUTH VIEW SUITE
Our vacation rental suite is located on the garden level of this Naramata Bench log home. You won’t feel like you’re in a basement though! Both bedrooms have full-size double patio doors stepping you right out onto your patio, the yard and vineyard, facing west. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed. And the second bedroom has a queen bed and a set of twin-sized bunks. Between the two bedrooms is a Jack-and-Jill style three-piece bathroom. (see picture of floor plan). If you're travelling as two couples, you might find the layout just a bit unusual. We suggest using the outdoor patio as your walkway between rooms to maximize the bedroom privacy.

The living/dining/kitchen area is an open space with big windows and a double patio door. The living room has a large couch, and there is a flat screen TV with cable and high-speed WiFi for those who want a bit of screen time.

The kitchen area is small, but it gets the job done. An apartment-sized fridge, two stove-top range, large toaster oven, toaster, microwave, kettle, coffee-maker and pots/pans and dishes are there to help you prepare basic and more than basic meals. We don’t have an oven, but to make up for it there is BBQ outside. And of course, we wouldn’t have a vineyard without wine glasses and a decanter to help you enjoy your loot!

OUTDOOR LIVING ON THE VINEYARD:
Enough about the indoor space, chances are you’ll want to relax in the beautiful Naramata bench outdoors with the spectacular view of Okanagan Lake! You’ve got your own private patio with Adirondack chairs for relaxing, and an outdoor dining area. There is a very large yard, and 3.5 beautiful acres of vines for everyone to enjoy. We are also lucky to have several hundred feet of lakefront! To get down to our private, natural beach you’ll have to take a bit of a walk down our dirt track. It takes about 10 minutes to walk down and there’s a bit of an incline, but well worth it! Great for an afternoon or a morning swim!

A little further, the town of Penticton awaits, with more dining options, shopping, and Skaha Lake on the south end of town. Golf courses are also abundant in the Okanagan, with many excellent courses within easy driving distance from the Villa.

The private suite consists of two Comfortable Bedrooms with deluxe king and queen beds and quality linens, Lakeview Living Room. Private Bathroom with Shower. Well equipped Kitchenette with coffee maker, toaster, microwave and dishwasher. (PLEASE NOTE: we are unable to supply a hot plate or stove for insurance reasons) Living Room with flat screen TV, Cable and DVD player. We are a family focused vacation rental
Our rental rates range from $6500.00 to $15000.00 weekly depending on the season. Our week long rentals go from Sunday to Sunday. As well, we will rent for 4 days @ $800.00 to 1400.00 day during the shoulder seasons, usually Thursday to Sunday.. Built new in 2016, our home is a 30 second walk to the beach. Our detached carriage house features primary bedroom with King bed & 5pc semi-ensuite. Second bedroom (bunkhouse) sleeps FIVE with ensuite. Private patio, perfect for lingering summer evenings to enjoy local wines & fine foods. A very short stroll to the Beach, tennis courts, children's playground & safe biking for the littles. Park your boat safely onsite, a boat launch is just down the block.
Here, you can enjoy warm summer evening conversations on the patio after a day at one of the beaches. Staying a few steps from this family oriented beach is amazing, the locals know. Sunrise paddleboarding is incredibly uplifting, as are late evening swims and beach walks anytime. Biking is easy here, the routes can take you along the water, stopping at 7 different beaches. A more challenging route is the Gran Fondo along orchards, vineyards & farms. Of course there are golf courses, our favorite is to enjoy an evening at the 9 hole executive Sumac Ridge wrapped up with a burger and beer.
Summerland is known for its "secrets & surprises". Did you know that Summerland has more beaches than it does hotels & motels combined? That's why our town stays quiet for traffic and crowds. Lots of fun enjoying the wineries of Bottleneck Drive or, again, if you want some crowds, we enjoy the Naramata Bench and Golden Mile areas of Oliver.
A morning run can take you along the water for over 7 kilometers return. A morning walk along the creek to Sunoka Beach for a cool dip is wonderful, and a walk up to the gardens of the Pacific Agri Food complex above Sunoka offers incredible views and from here, you can gaze down into the Trout Creek Canyon with its incredible Trestle. At some point you WILL be able to very faintly hear the distant Steam Train whistle passing over that trestle, it is a beautiful sound. You can readily bike to the trestle from here, or take the family to enjoy an ice cream cone at Summerland Sweets, by the trestle. Another family favorite.

The space
You will have your own private, 700 sq ft ground level suite with separate entrance. The suite has a generous living room, fully equipped kitchen, bedroom and bath. The living room has large west facing windows with panoramic views of Okanagan Lake. There is table seating for dining and a live edge wood bar overlooking the entire space. You will sleep in a comfy queen size bed with plenty of closet space for your personal belongings. The bathroom has a tub shower with amenities.

You have your own private outdoor deck with a love seat, 2 chairs and coffee table. The deck provides both sun and shade while you immerse yourself in the view and stunning sunsets of the Okanagan.

If you like to bike, hike or stroll, the KVR trail can be accessed by a trail the runs along the south side of the property. Adventure right at your doorstep!

Guest access
When you arrive, you will park in front of the double car garage door on the right hand side. Follow the concrete patio to the right of the house and you will find your entrance to the suite. A code will be provided to you for the key pad entry. There are no keys - simply use the key pad to lock and unlock. We are located in a very secure and safe neighbourhood but it is always advisable to lock up when you leave.

Other things to note
Feel free to bring your bikes and enjoy the trails! We ask that you please keep them secured outside of the suite.

BUT in general, the location is spectacular, perfectly situated in Naramata to get to wineries and some restaurants. Penticton is just a short drive - with potential for lots of "wine stops" on the way. The suite was beautifully decorated and a perfect size. Like everyone else says: the view is breath-taking especially at sunset with a glass of wine. Leslie and Martin are knowledgeable about a lot of things, gave great suggestions and helped us out when needed. Can't say enough good things about them. They made us feel like good friends right from the start."

- "Very spacious digs for the 4 of us and we appreciated the comfy beds and the amazing back yard it is not possible to have a better location .. 5 minute stroll to the Sandy beach and 6 minutes to the wharf. Comply be ..cute rustic digs ..front porch to watch the village world go by ..back deck to sit and sip wine and solve the worlds problems . See owlsc quails robins and everything on between from the back deck.The naramata inn bistro will be open soon for an afternoon cocktail but it’s hard to leave the cottage "
