- "Very roomy and very clean.Beautiful view of Lake Osoyoos." - "The house was listed accurately but we found the property to be better than it was described. The lawn down by the water was where most of our day was spent. We had games set up down below, on the south yard, and even on the two yard areas up top. It was so easy to live outside pretty much the whole time. Also, the working orchard was so great to be around. Workers came to prune and mow and we got to see a small part of how it all works. We loved this place!"

Oroville, WA is located four miles south of the Canadian border on Highway 97. Oro Hill House is located just outside the tiny town of Oroville, overlooking the beautiful Lake Osoyoos. Unlike Lake Chelan, Lake Osoyoos is still a relatively undiscovered gem of central Washington. If you want the beauty of Lake Chelan, but not the crowds and tourist traps, Lake Osoyoos is for you. We welcome fishermen! The lake is known for fantastic bass and trout fishing. Bring your boat and water gear, fish and tube during the day, and hang out poolside in the evening while you grill steaks or try your hand at wood-fired pizza-making!

Some of our local favorites include:

GOLF at Oroville Golf Club. Family-friendly, outstanding views, and an all-around fun course.

HIKING Whistler Canyon Trail. This hike is actually a completed portion of the Pacific
Northwest Trail. It climbs quickly at first, and features great views of Okanogan Valley, and if you climb high enough, the North Cascades. It also has terrific wildlife viewing possibilities. Hikers commonly report seeing mountain goats on rock faces above the trail. Mule deer, bear, marmot, and wild turkey have often been sighted here as well.

Similkameen Trail: Like the Spokane Centennial and other urban trails, the Similkameen Trail is a jewel. A rail-to-trail conversion, this paved and graveled route offers visitors opportunities for biking, hiking, birding, wildlife sighting and wildflower-spotting. Photographers will love the river views, biologists the salmon viewing, and history buffs the story of the trail. Pro Tip: For a seven mile hike, there is another trailhead. In Oroville, follow the signs to The Old Depot Museum and Visitors Center. The trailhead is just up the street from the museum. Follow signs for the Oroville Trailhead.

ROCKCLIMBING McLaughlin Canyon and exploring the caves: McLaughling Canyon Caves are a series of inter-connected fracture caves and crevasses in the southwestern slope of Tonasket Mountain. These are difficult caves, so not recommended for children, but if you are healthy and up for adventure, these caves are for you! There is a thousand+ feet of passageway with vertical inter-mixes. Some of the routes are naturally lit from narrow slits open to the sky above. Other areas are lightless. These are unregulated caves and at this time I am unsure of ownership. Spelunkers love these caves!

TONASKET WATER RANCH: A ranch-themed splash pad and small waterpark for families to enjoy some fun in the sun! Free!

WINERY: Esther Bricques Winery & Vineyard. Featuring local wines and musicians most weekends throughout the summer! Check their website for details.

- "Wonderful, updated appliances. Everything you could need in the kitchen. Nice towels and soaps provided, even shampoo,! The outdoor shower is a dream and the beds were very comfortable. Strange check-in process but easy enough to follow. " - "This is a cozy little place that is great for a single family or two small families. The pullout in the living room was confusing and more of a jigsaw. Good parking, patio and beach. Could use a couple items - a welcome mat inside door and a big teflon pan. Hard to make pancakes with a tiny non-stick and regular over used pan. Everything else was great!"

Although there was little-to-no cell service, there was WIFI and we were able to use our phones for texting and our IPad for watching Netflix. You might want to preload movies because there was a bit of a buffering delay while streaming shows, but that was just a minor issue. I really enjoyed walking the trails and looking at the amazing views. Our dogs enjoyed exploring around our cabin and meeting the horses. This property is a great home base after a day of hiking, hanging out at the lake, or exploring nearby towns. It is an extraordinarily pretty and peaceful place to stay. Robin was extremely helpful and responsive and made us feel very welcome. We really enjoyed our stay!"

Guest Reviews:

- "Check in was easy. After consideration of my age and need for a cane, the owner placed us in a cabin with easy access. We saw the additional facilities for outdoor cooking, but had no time to use them. Horse owners should love this place, nearby private corrals, lots of trails and sponsored trail rides. Night time star gazing would be perfect. Good for groups or family reunions. I'll be back."

Highlander Cabin at Eden Valley Ranch
Cabin
Oroville, Washington, USA

The highland history of Okanogan is rich and very special to our hearts. Why? Because the highlands have a long and hardworking history behind them – mining, ranching and family farming are among the most remembered.

We believe the history deserves to be preserved and kept special for as long as possible, so we named our cabin after the glorious highlands that Okanogan has.

ABOUT THE HIGHLANDER CABIN

The Highlander Cabin's outside boards were hand crafted from an oversized two-story barn that was constructed right near our lodge site in the 1920’s.

The cabin is equipped with a queen sized bed and a pull out couch that opens into a double sized bed. Although we're a cozy cabin, you may have up to 4 people for your stay.

Most cabins can't fit a kitchen, but ours have just that. With a stovetop, sink, microwave and a refrigerator the Frontier cabin has everything you'll need to whip up any and every meal you'll want during your stay with us.

The best part about this cabin is our beautiful Lopi wood stove that has glass doors to view the fire. Use it to stay warm after a day of exploring, it'll give you and your guests that true cabin feel.

This is a cabin carefully prepared for people with allergies, so no dogs are allowed in this cabin. Please be sure to let us know when booking if you have a dog, so we can accommodate you in one of our dog-friendly cabins.

ABOUT THE RANCH

We are a green resort, meaning we follow the "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle" motto. As our ranch is based upon living many years ago, we want to preserve the land and the wildlife that's surrounding.

The ranch has a basketball court and sandbox for the kids to enjoy. Because we're out on in the valley, we don't have great cellular service but we do have great Wi-Fi for those of you who can't live without it!

If you love dogs as much as we do, you'll be sure to bring them too. But not all cabins are dog-friendly, so be sure to ask which ones before booking.

Although, the resort is dog friendly - please note this particular unit does not allow dogs.

Have a horse or two? Bring them to the horse hotel so they can enjoy the trails and pastures too.

Speaking of those trails, our ranch has many free trails available for your use. Take a day hike to see the views or take a stroll at the end of a long day. Whether you're running the trails for that daily work out or just enjoying a walk, our open trails are perfect for everyone in the family.

If you're into fishing too then bring your bait and poles, we are nearby to many fishing lakes! They provide the opportunity to fish for the greatest catch.

Please let us know if you need a pet friendly unit, as this one does not allow your furry friends.

Mountaineer Cabin at Eden Valley Ranch
Cabin
Oroville, Washington, USA

The Mountaineer Cabin is exactly as it sounds – a true fit for all mountaineers. The Molson Mountaineers were a 4H club in the area that adventured and explored throughout the 60’s and the 70’s so we decided to honor them by naming our cabin after the great things they discovered.

Luckily, the Molson Mountaineers still exist as a largely known hiking club all across America.

Be a true mountaineer by staying in our cabin, you’re bound to see all kinds of creatures – deer, birds, bears, and coyotes too.

ABOUT THE MOUNTAINEER CABIN

The Mountaineer Cabin's outside boards were hand crafted from dead pine trees that grew right on the mountain. A one-man sawmill was used to create this with passion for preserving history.

Homey Homestead Cabin at Eden Valley Guest Ranch
Cabin
Oroville, Washington, USA

Giddyup! Take a peak back in time during the era where family farming and ranching was not only popular, but also the only way to survive. The Homestead Cabin speaks just for that.

Inspired by plowing horses, tractors and farming this cozy cabin will remind you and your guests what it's like to live during times where hard laboring work was always required.

The ways of American Family Farming have slipped into the past without providing the understanding of what it gave to the world. The Homestead Cabin aims to remind guests how people were able to survive without the wonders of restaurants and microwavable meals.

ABOUT THE HOMESTEAD CABIN
