- "Felt very comfortable " - "The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very clean, but unfortunately the room wrecked of mildew and mold and we were unable to get any sleep due to being so stuffed up from the air quality of the room. Despite our effort of opening a window and running hot water down the drains we were still not able to get rig of the smell. There was so communication from the staff other than a text with instructions on how to enter and the lobby wasn’t open to communicate our complaint. If you are air quality or smell sensitive I would not recommend this property. "

- "Love that this property has friendly staff and they are constantly improving the property and the guest experience! Even made time to say hello to our dogs." - "Very pleasant one night stay in Room 3 at this small property. We were breaking up the drive from the Kootenays to Vancouver so looking for a place to touch down and facilitate some beach time before hitting the road again. Recently updated room with a fresh feel inside. Cute touches like Epsom salts by the tub and fresh lavender cuttings on the bedside table. Comfortable bed, strong AC. Property has a mix of rooms, some with BBQs/patios and some without, this one was a simple clean room with 1 bed and quite spacious. We were travelling with our pooch so the extra floor space was helpful! Greenspace and small playground out front of property. 5 minute walk to a small sandy beach at the end of the road, perfect for swimming/paddle boarding/kayaking etc. Would stay again!"

- "We loved the accommodations and the property. The cabin was clean, cozy and had all we needed to cook meals as the kitchen was fully stocked! Beds were very comfy, the neighborhood was quiet and the owners were very nice! If you book through a booking site, such as Expedia be sure to give the property the heads-up directly if you have pets, via telephone or email. Would recommend this property and we will be back! " - "We had a wonderful stay at Barefoot Villas. The owners are lovely, and you can tell how dedicated they are to making guests welcome and maintaining the property. It is reasonably priced, very close to a “pocket beach” on Christina Lake, and only a couple of minutes away from the main beach. It’s also walking distance to the Kool Treat for burgers and ice cream, and Smoochies, a wonderful bakery cafe. The owners have added thoughtful touches like a spring free trampoline for the kids, a stocked fire pit for wiener roasts and s’mores, and shade umbrellas and small bbqs on your private patio. We were there for 5 nights and really enjoyed the hospitality. We look forward to coming back. "

- "Easy to find, friendly staff, very clean." - "The man who checked me in was very personable and friendly. He made me aware of nearby eating establishments, and even helped me up the stairs with my luggage when I tried to take too much at once. Great PR value there. The room was clean and comfortable, so no complaints there. The only issue I had - and it's really a minor one - is that the packets of shampoo provided need to be cut open. Once you're in the shower, though, that's hard to do unless you've taken a pair of scissors with you. I had to tear it open with my teeth, which was difficult. I would recommend to the hotel a bottled shampoo as an alternative. But all and all, I would highly recommend the Imperial Motel in Grand Forks. This was my second stay in five years, and both experiences were excellent. If you're looking for a lower-priced accomodation, you could do a lot worse."

- "Love the place, 2nd time we've stayed, very pricy but can live with that. The only problem we had there was no spare water container provided and we ran out. Asking for help only got us a recording that was unrelated. Management needs to answer phone from customers. Thanks." - "We were so impressed with this place. It’s clean, super functional and decorated beautifully. The beds are comfy and the kitchen is a delight to make your meals. It is well stocked with everything you might need. We had an exceptional vacation. Thumbs up!!!"

Feel the clean pine-scented wind as you look down on the lake and winding river. A well-kept secret is the great Bass fishing at Christina Lake. Start as early as May and catch both large and small mouth Bass. The season closes in September, so catch a fish and a bargain and book early. Not just bass, Christina Lake has fishing for everyone and for all seasons. Why stop having fun in winter? Come and stay to ice fish, or at other times of the year, for fly fishing, casting, or trolling. Christina Lake and the surrounding area is the place for you! For the best large Rainbow Trout, come in March and April. Test or improve your skills to catch 5-15 pound fish, either by trolling a plug or bucktail fly. May and June are the best months for catching Kokanee, which range up to 1½ pounds and bite on spinners, flies, and live bait (maggots and worms). - "Straight forward to book and quick communication responding Better than hotels as you had your own bbq, modern updates and new ac unit kept the temperature nice as it was +40°" - "Cabin is nice, beds are comfortable, TV is set too high on the wall. Property location was close to the ice cream shop which our kids loved The beach access was a short walk away but small as it’s stuck between beach houses at the end of the road. We didn’t use that beach as we drove to the public beach much bigger. The deck in front of the cabin is excellent for a large group lots of seating. Picnic table is shaky, and BBQ is small. We would stay here again as it’s nice little cabin and was perfect for our 2 night stay."

- "Wonderful" - "We had a wonderful time. Everything was described correctly. All of the staff were helpful and the location was excellent." - "Loved the property, room was very small and cute. Found the room very dark and only had a couple of lamps to give light. No info in the room regarding restaurant locations or map of the area. A/c works great but is right over the bed so we had it blowing on us all night. Don’t really know who the hosts were as there was only a key in the door for us and no one came to greet us. Great stay but lacking a few key factors. Thankyou again for the opportunity to stay with you."

- "Our son was playing in a baseball tournament in Grand Forks and at the last minute, we decided to come up but no hotels were available. This property popped up as available and it looked nice but it was hard to tell from the pictures what it really was really like. We were shocked when we arrived. It was like a tiny house designed by Joanna Gaines. Absolutely gorgeous!!!! The owners are extremely friendly and 100% focused on customer service. As soon as we got there, they came and set up a table with comfortable chairs and an umbrella on the deck. Tucked in the woods, it was a beautiful place to stay. We highly recommend Barefoot Villas and will definitely be back. They get 5 stars from us!!"
