I also, frankly, wanted to “ test-drive” the house for a possible late summer rental with extended family. The house is beautifully designed for a lakefront luxury stay. I loved the “ lodge” feel- and really loved the fact that it is built for multiple privacy areas. Bedrooms are very quiet - away from the center of activity. And then more bedrooms downstairs with a huge game room- again offering a separate activity area. Incredible kitchen- fully stocked as a “ non-rental” home would be. And the outside entertaining areas are beautifully laid out. While it was a bit cold on our stay- I know that this spot in the summer would be amazing. I will definitely be back with my whole family later this summer. This is the place where memories are made. "

Delightful 2014 cabin with rustic touches, sits back on 3 acres surrounded by fragrant pine trees providing seclusion.This property boasts two large grass lawns for games, and family fun. We provide Bocce Ball, and Cornhole. Sit out on the 14x30 foot covered patio and enjoy the deer strolling through, as you barbecue dinner in the evening. Just off the patio is a large area with a moveable, steel fire pit, plus plenty of wood and camp chairs. Access to hiking trails and snowmobile/orv trails directly from the property. Our fully equipped kitchen features granite counters, hickory cabinets, under counter lighting and a large pantry for storage. The open living room boasts two extremely comfortable reclining couches, a stylish propane fireplace, and large windows with views of the property. 'Falling Water' is located right on the bank of the babbling Reeder Creek, within a couple of minutes walk through the woods to a beautiful sandy beach on pristine Priest Lake in northern Idaho.

Priest Lake is a large, clear, deep water lake, 19 miles long, four miles wide, with numerous beaches, and famous for its beauty, tranquility, and incredible wildlife. It is located about 90 miles from Spokane airport, and the lake itself has two small airfields. The Priest Lake area offers superb water sports, fishing, hiking, biking, snowmobiling, and golfing. Several excellent restaurants are situated on the lake within easy boating or driving distance. There is boat mooring available a 3 minute walk away at Elkins Resort, which also offers an award winning restaurant and more casual food and live music in the bar, a store as well as rental of water sports equipment.

While Priest Lake has a long established reputation as a wonderful summer resort area, in the past few years a 400 mile system of snowmobile trails, including a groomed trail to Schweitzer Ski Resort, has made Priest Lake one of the best snowmobiling destinations in the US. The area offers thousands of acres of amazing snowmobiling to an increasing number of winter sports fans who spend a weekend or longer here during the winter months.

This gorgeous 6 bedroom timber frame cabin was built 10 years ago to the highest standards. The sound of the creek which runs within a few feet of the cabin provides a constant background of music. The great room has a 26 foot pine clad cathedral ceiling and an enormous stone fireplace, with comfortable leather sofas and additional seating. The kitchen and all 3 bathrooms have granite counters with slate floors. The kitchen has been designed to accommodate groups who like to prepare meals together with ample counter space for several cooks, and is fully equipped with a large fridge freezer and external ice/water dispenser, microwave, gas stove/electric oven, coffee grinder and maker, dishwasher and garbage disposal. Outside is an enormous deck with lounge chairs and barbeque. Twelve adults can dine at the custom built tables, with additional seating at the kitchen island.

There are 3 bedrooms with queen-size beds and 3 bedrooms with two full size single beds in each. The master bedroom has a cathedral ceiling and external deck as well as balcony onto the great room. The main floor queen bedroom and bathroom are wheelchair accessible, as is the rest of the main floor and deck. On the upper floor there are two additional bathrooms for the four bedrooms on that floor. In addition to the master bedroom, the other queen bedroom on this floor has a balcony onto the great room. The bed and bath linens are all supplied and of fine quality.

- "My little family stayed here for a week. The cabin is luxurious, comfortable, and in a great location. The kitchen is top-notch, wonderfully equipped and a pleasure to use. The bedroom setup was perfect for us - my granddaughter and I stayed in the two downstairs bedrooms, while my daughter had her own bedroom suite upstairs where she could enjoy her private time. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed, including kindling for the outdoor fire pit. It was an easy walk to the Elkins resort, where there is a beach, playground, small store, lodge and restaurant. We all absolutely loved it, and were sad to leave. I highly recommend it - we hope to be back!"

- "Easy to find, very clean, all the kitchen tools required, close to water and a few good restaurants" - "Women's Healing Retreat. We had a lovely 2.5 days of laughing, cooking, sharing and enjoying ourselves in this lovely lake cabin. The is a quiet location. Walking distance to the gorgeous Priest Lake. Plenty of privacy in the backyard. Which was large and provided lots of space for us to do yoga outdoors, eat meals, sit and chat without worrying about neighbors. There was plenty of parking. The cabin itself was clean with extra supplies not usually provided in most rentals. For example, coffee filters, paper towels, disinfectant hand soap, DW pods, laundry soap, shampoo and conditioner. The beds were comfortable and the sheets soft. There was plenty of room for the 3 overnight guest as well as day visitors to enjoy and move about freely without bumping into each other. We could spread our wings! And we did, it was a healing weekend because of the company and the relaxing, charming environment of the cabin."

If Priest Lake (the crown jewel of Idaho) is new to you…..it is a truly beautiful area, not overly-developed like some lakes can be, and beloved by many residents and repeat visitors. If you are looking for a lake place close to shopping and a busy nearby town, it is NOT the best fit. If you are looking to relax and get-away-from-it-all while surrounded by gorgeous nature, Priest Lake is the one for you!

For those returning to Priest Lake as well as experiencing it for the first time........as many of you know, the rental market is fairly high demand, low supply. People do book summer rentals quite early.

Our "cabin" - built in 2008 - is charming, diligently kept up, very clean, and comfortable (two king beds, a queen bed, and the bunkbeds). Having three full bathrooms makes a world of difference when there is more than one family. You will see that our place is not exactly one of those lavish homes with marble countertops, brand new modern furniture, a TV in every room, air conditioning, and sandy beaches (naturally, they are priced accordingly). However, there are so many reasons that multiple repeat renters say our cabin is like "home," and keep coming back.

The kitchen and living room are connected, making one spacious gathering room with fantastic lake views (and wood stove). There is also a game room with TV for DVD watching. Full deck off gathering room and master bedroom offers perfect spot for meals and enjoying views.

*Use of boat lift included (Please ask for boat size specifications and mooring options. The lift has no cover by design. We recommend bringing your own boat cover).
*Use of 2 kayaks, a canoe, and a pedal boat included.
*Use of propane grill included.
*Water mat anchored and ready for fun.

*Elkins resort/restaurant is a quick boat ride across the lake from the cabin. Hills is also a fairly quick boat ride away, and Cavanaugh's is 10 minutes by car, quicker by boat.
*Trash pick-up (private service) included with weekly+ rentals when available (there is no residential trash collection at Priest Lake, so dump visits are required for many rentals).
*No need to bring drinking water as needed for many other Priest Lake rentals (we have a filtering system installed).

Our family and several repeat renters believe our cabin is a wonderful place to visit. It usually books up early. However, we would like to note a few things that will help set your expectations just in case it is NOT a fit for your needs:
* The shore along this area of the lake is rocky (not sandy).
* There is NO air conditioning (although ceiling fans in master and great room, and tower fans throughout).
* There are several stairs between the parking area and the cabin, as well as the cabin and the lake (please see pictures).
* The restriction on the number of people occupying the cabin/property (12 max whether daytime or nighttime) and the no pets policy are strictly enforced and non-negotiable. The cabin is not suitable for parties or gatherings exceeding 12 people.
* There is limited parking for only three vehicles.
* There are quiet hours from 10pm - 9am in respect of our long-time lake neighbors.
* Outside security cameras are solely for visual (no audio) monitoring outside the property, covering the two entry points (the parking area and the dock area). There are absolutely no cameras inside the property and the security cameras do not cover any parts of the cabin itself.
* Because we try to avoid adding the extra cost of a linen service to the rental rates, renters are responsible for washing/drying all beach towels and 2/3 of regular towels before departure.
* Signed Rental Agreement (a draft of which we are happy to provide beforehand) required to secure the Vrbo booking.

Renting any lodging (this cabin is our second home) for a whole week or longer is no small thing, especially since we are noticing that most people commit to booking over a year in advance. We encourage you to hit the "contact host" or "contact via inbox" button BEFORE hitting the "request to book" button (we personally wouldn't bother with the Vrbo "chat now" button as it will just connect you with a Vrbo representative who is looking at the exact same online listing that you are - they don't have any more information beyond what we've already listed here). If you are close to certain that you want to book the cabin, please let us know in your inquiry, so we can hold the reservation for you (no obligation) for a short time in case we cannot connect right away. This allows us to first have a call and thoroughly answer any questions or address any concerns, while making sure our cabin is a great fit for you.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Please ignore the Vrbo note on our Cancellation Policy -- it is incorrect. Vrbo does not provide an option that matches our Rental Agreement (or provide the ability to delete that portion of the listing).

The Actual Cancellation Policy as stated in the signed Rental Agreement: 8. Cancellation Policy and Request for Changes to the Dates of the Reservation: A reservation is defined as the entire period between check-in and check-out (noted in section No. 1). If needed, partial or entire reservation cancellations can be initiated by Tenant via the Vrbo portal. Provisions in this paragraph will apply to both full and partial cancellations. Reservation dates canceled more than 60 days BEFORE arrival entitle renter to a refund of any rental payment exceeding the reservation fee.* If reservation dates are canceled within 60 days of check-in, the tenant will forfeit 100% of the rental payment, taxes, and fees (damage deposits will be refunded). Refunds will be considered if Landlord’s family is unable to utilize canceled reservations, and then only if Landlord is able to re-rent the premises for all of the dates canceled. - "The home is decorated well, perfectly supplied, and extremely clean! Very comfortable as the furnishings weren’t brand new but still in great shape with a lake vibe. There were many little touches that we appreciated: books, puzzles, games, CD’s, lots of appliances, lots of bath linens, (including beach towels), and even a welcome gift for us to take home! Owner was responsive and gave excellent advice and recommendations. Wonderful experience 10 out of 10!! . Only a couple items I’ll mention to give future renters a heads up, beach access is via quite a few stairs, (typical for this side of the lake), and the deck off the back patio is leaning slightly due to the pier posts settling, (very minor), we work in construction and can assure you the deck is structurally sound but thought we’d share so you know what to expect. Highly recommend checking out this property!! An absolute gem!"

This rustic Priest Lake waterfront cabin is located near Hunt Creek on the East shore. This is a large, level lot in a quiet location. The west facing waterfront makes for wonderful lake and sunset views from the cabin and dock.

Out of respect for our neighbors, the cabin is ideal for a small family. Not suitable for multi family gatherings or groups.

The cabin includes a bedroom, office, sleeping porch, bunk house and 1 bathroom. Resort quality furnishings, beds and bedding with renovated kitchen and bath.

This cabin is well equipped and has everything to meet your needs during your stay, including a new large capacity washer and dryer. The kitchen includes stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and full complement of dishes, glasses and silverware. Just outside the kitchen is the dining area with seating for 6 that faces the fabulous view.

Amenities include internet and dock for one small 19' boat (nearby marinas with rental boats, canoes, and kayaks). There is a sandy beach and wooden dock for lounging, reading, and nature watching.

2015 Review: "Loved our stay at this awesome, rustic cabin at Priest Lake. Owner has done a fabulous job updating the cabins but keeping with the rustic lake theme. All beds are resort quality! Clean and tidy, with cushy couches and a nice big dining table. Location of the cabin is prime...Hills, Cavanaugh's, and Elkins (being our favorites) are close by, as well as the Leonard Paul store in Coolin. The cabin and the extra bunk house were perfect for our party of 6, which was a mix of adults, teens and youngsters. I am going to be watching this rental to see if any times free up due to cancellations this year, and am anxious to get next years time reserved as well!!! Also, super owner to work with!!"

As for dealing with the owners, they are very responsive and seem to have endless amounts of sincerity in regards to your enjoyment of this property. They even responded to emails while they were traveling on their own vacation. We have zero complaints about this property. We have stayed many places, but this one stands out at the very top of favorites. You will not regret staying here. We loved every minute! "

Cozy, comfortable 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin located on Priest Lake with a partial view of the lake. Beds are all queen size. Closet space, shelves and dresser for storage. Kitchen furnished with all the essentials needed. Cabin was completely remodeled last fall, with new furniture and appliances. It is less than 100 feet from the beach with use of semi private dock. Parking behind cabin 2 cars.

NOTE: Please do not use the private driveway for ingress or egress that is located on the west side of the cabin (If you are facing the lake the driveway is to the right of the cabin). There is a post with the numbers “156” at the entrance to the private driveway which is exclusively for the owner, her friends, and guests located at 156 Old Schneider Road. Location is just within a few minutes of Elkins resort, Priest Lake Marina, and Hills resort which is fun and convenient. Owner lives within just a couple of minutes of the cabin and her family stays in one of the big houses in front of the cabin, so it is convenient should anything be needed like we needed firewood that she brought and the shower backed up which she was able to come and help rectify,or if there are any issues, however if you are looking for a location that is more private without owner on site, then this might not be the best location for you, but it’s great if you don’t mind having owner on site and busyness around the cabin from other houses on the weekends. It was a great overall experience, and I am pleased with the condition of the property."

- "Nice to have amenities close" - "This property is top notch!! My family celebrated our mother’s 80th Birthday in this gorgeous five bedroom three bath luxury home! The furnishings are extremely nice and comfortable! Four of the bedrooms have King size beds with comfy sheets and pillows! Each bedroom has a unique decor and ambiance. The fifth bedroom has two doubles and a single bed for your children, teens, or single adults. The kitchen and living room are perfect for entertaining family and friends. We made excellent use of the many amenities provided for making fantastic meals! The second floor has a beautiful family/game room! The bathrooms were spacious and spa towels and body wash are provided! There is also a washer and dryer on the second floor and laundry detergent is provided! The outside space has cedar rocking chairs just outside the front door and there is a picknik table close to a fire pit with several Adirondack chairs. The location of this home is conveniently situated right behind Elkins Resort! Our host and owner of the home is extremely gracious and thoughtful! We will plan our next Priest Lake trip at this property!!"

The swimming area is very shallow near the beach area and extends to a depth of 20 feet at the end of the dock. Please be sure that children are supervised at all times and that all guests refrain from diving.

The outdoor area was perfect. The bedrooms were ok. Found some unclean bedding in closet of master bedroom. Check in time was 4:00. We arrived at 4:15. Cleaner still there. Was there until at bit after 6:00. So check in was 6:15. We only used the tiki room for extra fridge which was nice to have. The location is wonderful. I’d say all in all it was partly great & partly not so good. Heather was very accommodating."

This is a 1950's built cabin on the lake with 100' of beachfront. It sleeps 12 and that is our maximum allowed. This is rarely available.

It has everything needed, completely turnkey, with plenty of deepwater dock space. If guests would like to bring their own bedding and towels, this is acceptable.

We rent in 7 day increments (Sun - Sun), except for Labor Day, which we will rent 8 days (Sun - Mon) if requested.

There's also a lofted kids' play area featuring books, toys, board games, and puzzles. A washer/dryer, a spacious garage, office space for remote working, and Starlink high-speed internet access round out the stellar amenities.

Under the radiant Idaho summer sunshine, host delicious barbecues on the gas grill, lounge on the sandy beach, swim in the quiet and shallow cove, and flip through your vacation read on the sunny patio. The dock (but not the boat lift) is also available to park a boat during your stay for the further enjoyment of all beautiful Priest Lake has to offer, including a short boat ride to Elkins or Hill’s from the central location of this cabin. Within quick driving distance of your stay, enjoy meals on the deck at Cavanaugh’s Resort, explore Indian Creek Campground, hike Kaniksu National Forest, and, in the winter months, cross-country ski, snowmobile, and snowshoe around the local trails and logging roads.

(A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
