We also have a 3 year old German shepherd on the property. He’s well trained but does come off aggressive sometimes to people he doesn’t know. Furthermore there is a electric fence placed so he won’t come by the guest suite and most of the times he’s either inside our house or on our deck so you won’t need to worry about him. Once he gets to know you he’s a goof ball and loves to play

The climate in the only desert in Canada is warm and dry in the summer, perfect for relaxing at the lake or enjoying a selection of wines on your patio. Winter brings a mild climate, which is perfect to enjoy the slopes of the newly re-opened Mt Baldy ski resort less than an hour's drive from the cottage.

Our cottage consists of a cozy three-bedroom home with 2 bathrooms on two levels, 2 bedrooms down and the third located in the loft, perfectly designed for couples, families, and their guests. Main living areas look out to green landscaping, with trails to the magnificent clubhouse, a short walk to the sandy beach, and the playground with a fenced-in dog park. It's tastefully furnished and decorated to suit 6 adults on 2 full-size beds and a pull out sectional sofa, plus a bunk bed with an added trundle to accommodate 3 children.

The clubhouse has two pools, a full size adult pool and a smaller kids pool, as well as two hot tubs, all of which are open seasonally and weather dependent. There is also a full gym and a large community room that has a full sized kitchen and a fireplace to lounge next too. It is also set up as a small theater room for watching movies on a quiet night in.

There is no shortage of activities in and around the area, from the Peach Fest in August, to the numerous wine festivals that take place throughout the year. Or you can just enjoy a wine-tasting trip trying different wines at all the numerous wineries only a short minutes drive away. There are many bike and foot trails in the area to enjoy sightseeing, bird watching, or attend the local golf course for the day.

For the bikers we are right alongside the Grandfondo routes to follow or there are many kilometers of road way to enjoy and explore.

Mount Baldy's ski hills and cross country ski trails are only a 30 minute drive away.

The Rockcliffe Getaway suite is attached to our bungalow and it was custom built primarily to serve as a short-term rental suite. We went through great lengths to soundproof the adjoining walls by building two soundproof walls with double insulation and drywall insuring that the only sounds you will hear are the gentle chirps of birds from your patio.

After exploring the wine country, unwind in the quiet ambiance of the living room. We have curated a selection of our favorite books for you to enjoy, allowing your mind to wander and be free.

We are just north of Oliver about 3 minutes to town, on an orchard which is very quiet and peaceful. 20 minutes to Penticton, 20 minutes to Osoyoos. Easy to get to the lakes, or float down the canal. Tons of winery’s and wine tours. Great restaurants very near by. Lots to do, or not. Just enjoy the sunshine with a glass of wine. One bedroom house approximately 600 sq ft. Everything you’ll need. Sit outside with views of orchards. We live on the property as well, but we are somewhat separated. We also have a very friendly dog

- "The owners were personable but still gave us our privacy. The privacy fence outside was a great touch to feel like we could be very private. The unit itself was cozy and welcoming. Having a washer and dryer was a nice touch and we made use of it after two weeks on the road. Air conditioning in the bedroom was lovely. Toffee, the owner's dog, was so cute and very friendly. She would come and sit at our feet but wasn't annoying at all. Overall, if you are looking for a quiet place to stay in the Oliver area this is a great little gem to hang your hat for a few days. It was nice and close to the International Hike & Bike trail which runs along the river."
