- "Absolutely gorgeous." - "We started our weekend away at the Vernon Prestige Lodge which was quite unpleasant as the staff was not very friendly or helpful. When we arrived at the Prestige Harbourfront Alfred at the front desk was amazing he greeted us and gave us information about the area and assisted me with the Prestige Rewards program which I was not aware of as I have stayed many times at prestige hotels and had no idea about it. The hotel is very clean and in a beautiful setting. Alfred was very helpful during our stay. You don’t get service like that very often he makes you feel at home, upon checkout another lovely lady assisted. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back. "

Nordic ski trails are open all year for hikes, cross country or snowshoeing. You will often see horses enjoying these same trails. Located a 12 min drive away.

Canoe beach and Gardom Lake are a 15 min drive. Gardom lake is best known for watching many turtles and birds taking in the sun. You can get great photos from your canoe or paddle board.

Four-Season Activities to Suit Your Fancy

In the summer months play frisbee on the expansive lawn, and enjoy the pool (May to October). You could also sit and enjoy a book on the covered porch, in one of the large living rooms, or in the study on the main floor. Take the family skiing at SilverStar and then cozy up for fireside board games. Bring your snow shoes or cross country skis and use the snow right out your backdoor! In the more moderate season Mountain View Rd is a popular destination for road cyclists, and the rail trail is under construction from Sicamous to Armstrong - soon to provide an alternative means to get into town!

Join our citizen science nature project in iNaturalist to add your nature observations from on and around the farm during your stay. We are a registered Land Steward with the Okanagan Similkameen Stewardship Society and your observations help us to track how our local biodiversity is faring. While this farming property has a history of agriculture going back over a century, the farmers tending this land now have an emphasis on ecological management. Together with a dedicated farm crew this generation of farmers is working to ensure responsible agrarians can farm the land for generations to come - all while providing important habitat to species that call the area home.

For outdoor enjoyment there is a beautiful, seasonal, in-ground pool, a cement pad for basketball or skating or dining! and expansive lawn and garden for relaxing and enjoying the space. This is an area rich with wildlife, with views and trails to explore - including one to a waterfall and lookout that is directly accessible from the house.

Birdwatching can take place from the windows of home, or you can take a short walk to see what you will find. Nearby are many local amenities to visit while you are in the area including the galleries of renowned artists, internationally celebrated theatre, excellent food and drink, and a number of year-round farmers' markets as well as dozens of lakes within a short drive.

For the Architectural Aficionados

This historic home was originally built in 1914 and was renovated by a masterful carpenter in the early 2000s. Built by Francis Poole and apparently modelled after his home in England, the house features original bottle-glass windows said to have been imported from Lancashire. The stone fireplace was built with rock from nearby Rose Swanson Mountain, and during a more recent renovation bricks from the former Armstrong Hospital were used to build the chimney in the basement suite.

Special Features and Comforts

Each bed is made with 100% cotton sheets and cotton or linen duvet covers. In addition to the one king bed, four queen beds, and two double beds - each in their own bedroom - there is also a nursery off of the master bedroom with a twin bed, as well as a toddler bed and crib off of the West View bedroom. If you have more than can be accommodated in the bedrooms we have a daybed in the basement rec room, plus two additional twin beds that can be made up if required by your guest numbers.

The blue room features a fun little nook, a perfect reading spot for children, or the adventurous adult, and the rec room, downstairs, has built-in features to allow the younger visitors to have a kingdom all their own.

The solid dining room table seats ten and the dining nook seats an additional 8, and with two full fridges, and two ovens at your disposal you have the space and amenities you need to cook for a crowd! There are four full bathrooms in this home; two are en suites and two are common, plus a fifth bathroom with shower. Each full bathroom has a bath tub and a shower, with a beautiful clawfoot tub in the upstairs common bathroom, and a jacuzzi tub in the en suite to the master bedroom. Find unscented laundry detergent in the laundry room, as well as shampoo for your convenience if you've left yours behind.

If you need to get a bit of work done during your stay there is a bright study on the main floor with views of the garden, and wifi is accessible throughout the house.

With a vacation spot like this you might not want to venture too far, but if you do you will find more of the beauty in this food-producing region. Come and visit and stay, replenish and rejuvenate on the farm.

Welcome to our handcrafted chalet in Enderby, where every detail has been thoughtfully designed with love. What started as a hand-drawn shop footprint evolved into this cozy, stylish space we call home.

Our 2 bedroom + loft, 1 bathroom house sits on half an acre which provides ample space and privacy to enjoy this serene place. Inviting and full of character, it's the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature. Wake up to a magical field view from the master bedroom as morning fog rises, offering a serene and mystical experience.
The wood stove makes all of your hygge vibes a reality in the colder months after you’ve been out and about exploring during the day, or whether you want a restful day inside.
The kitchen is fully equipped with state of the art appliances, high quality organic spices and oils, and all of the essential tools for gourmet home cooked meals. We are only 5 minutes outside of town which makes accessing grocery stores and restaurants a breeze.
The house is newly built with polished concrete floors and custom finishing throughout. You’ll feel like you’re country living with all of the creature comforts available. We do often have wildlife cross through the property and we have security cameras around the perimeter to see who comes and goes to ensure safety. We include organic linens for each bed, and use non-toxic, environmentally friendly cleaning products throughout the home.
We have big plans to add a bathhouse/sauna in the next year, so stay tuned for updates.

Summer activities that are close by include different hand launches along the stunning Shuswap River for floating, Mabel Lake Resort and Marina (25mins), and amazing hiking trails just down the road.

Winter activities include snowmobiling at Hunter's Range (trailhead is 5mins down the road), cross-country skiing or snowshoeing at Larch Hills (24mins), and SilverStar Mountain Resort (45mins) for all of your other skiing, boarding, skating and tubing fun.

The space
The property is shared between our families main home and the cottage, there is a grassy lawn below the cottage and parking available beside the cottage. There are 3 bedrooms, one of which (bunk bed room) is accessible through the second queen bedroom. There is a full heated mudroom off of the living room to store your outdoor wear and bags. The kitchen is equipped with most everything to make yourself and your group meals.

Guest access
The lawn in front of the cottage is a space available to you and your group, The lawn area Is a shared use area be we are not usually occupying it. The lawn is sloped with a small level area around the fire pit. Feel free to go see the animals in their run beside our home.
