Unique and Cozy Cabin located in a quiet neighborhood closed to more than 10 lakes within 15-30 minutes drive. The cabin has a 1 loft King Bedroom and 1 Bunk room with two single beds and hide-a-bed.
The owner/hosts built the cabin as a winter project in 2021. Most of the timber are from the 5 Acre property and customize for his unique A Frame design. Suitable for a romantic get-a-way and family stay. Located in Armstrong, B.C with lots of activity and berry farms to visit.
- "Staying in this unique cabin in a rural setting is very relaxing. After we finished our work, we found the deck is a great place to have a drink and a barbecue. Lots of privacy, the owners live at the house next-door. We got some visits from Sam the dog who is super friendly and 3 friendly chickens who also enjoy the deck. Our hosts, Mercy and Perry made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Thank you to both of you. Erwin, Larry and Jason "

Tin Poppy Cabin is more than just a place to stay—it's an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and immerse yourself in the beauty of British Columbia’s backcountry.
- "A lovely location set amongst the trees in Larch Hills. Comfy beds (slept like Babis I. The peace & quiet) and a nice, spacious and very comfy screened in porch for relaxing and playing cards. And a great, unique decor! The outdoor shower was fantastic too!" - "We had a great experience at Tin Poppy. Even though it was off the beaten path, it was easy to find with the helpful signage. Our dog loved being able to roam around with a bit of freedom given there were no other people/dogs around. My partner enjoyed the great scenery for photography. I loved the screened in rooms which made you feel like you were outside but had protection from bugs (and a buffer from wildlife if you are a big chicken like me). I have already recommended this spot to some of my friends. We will definitely be back."

What our guests have to say:
"Amazing place!" - September 2023
"We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Azul cabin. The cabin was clean, well supplied and well located to get to local cideries and attractions. The purpose of our visit was to see Caravan Farms Theatre which was very short distance away. The host recommended many excellent swimming spots that were easy to drive to. The treehouse accommodation on the property looks incredible - we will definitely try to reserve that next year!" - August 2023
"Me and my family had a great stay." - July 2023
"The host was very helpful and got back to us for any questions we had very swiftly. The property was very relaxing and cozy, there was a walking trail around the unit, the owners dog showed us around like our own personal tour guide 😁 the owners were extremely kind and invited us over for dinner as well as made us lunch the following day. They were very friendly and easy going! The fire place and interior design made it into a cozy cottage getaway, barely any traffic going by and so much peaceful wildlife around that you could hear at all times of the day. During the night it was so peaceful and quiet out on the front deck, we had an absolutely amazing time (we ended up extending our stay by an extra night). Would definitely recommend to anyone trying to get a break from the hustle and bustle of their every day lives!" - April 2023
"Wonderful getaway! Private. Cozy. Peaceful. Added hot tub feature was a bonus." - March 2023
"This cabin was absolutely beautiful. The hosts were very responsive and quick to fix anything that arose during our stay. The place was clean, private, and very cozy." - December 2022
Couple of gems host in a jewel of the valley. On a last minute accommodation request we were lucky to get into their beautiful, fully equipped, Casa Azul. Wonderful bed and sauna perfect for a romantic getaway. Stone throw away from a few local delights such as the caravan farm theatre (book ahead) and cidery. Wonderful hosts and hope to return soon. - Oct 2022
- "Cute little cabin with bunkroom. The owners are very nice. They took us on a tour of the new treehouse cabin which was very cool and the kids loved it. Casa Azul was great. The beds were very comfy with lots of pillows. The kitchen had everything we needed. We especially loved the pup who came to visit us on the last day and the three chickens. It was clean, cozy and had hot water on demand. We would stay here again. " - "Really cute cabin. Wood burning stove in living room. Great to have some of the essentials provided, like salt & pepper, and so on. Really comfy bed and the windows open for fresh air. We would definitely stay again."

- "Me and my 8 year old daughter stayed here for 4 nights. Chantal was very accommodating and even showed my daughter how to feed the goats and chickens in the morning. My daughter loved this and would wake up every morning to ask if she could help feed the animals. The property is less than a 5 minute drive to a public beach on Mara Lake. The public beach area was also well kept. The cabin is small but cozy. Area does get a lot of mosquitoes so plan to have good bug spray and citronella candles if you plan to be on the patio area, but the Shuswap is known for mosquitos. Overall great stay, and would consider staying there again"
