The Eagle's Nest is the perfect, romantic getaway. It offers the ultimate in relaxation, while you sit back and enjoy the crackling of the fireplace, or enjoying a glass of wine while soaking in your private hot tub overlooking Shuswap Lake.
Slightly tucked away in the forest, hidden from the road, you can sit and enjoy the stunning views from every room of the cabin.
Our cozy cabin backs onto crown land so there is plenty of walking and hiking trails to be found, yet only a quick 6 minute drive to the town centre. Our beautiful and modern log home overlooks Shuswap Lake and Crowfoot mountain. We're very pet friendly so please bring your fur baby with you! The cabin has a brand new, cozy, log burning fireplace, an antique soaker tub, flat screen tv with Netflix, outdoor BBQ, outdoor smoker, a large fire pit with seating, games, extra blankets for those chilli nights, and of course a fully stocked kitchen!
We will email you with check in instructions after booking. If you're accessing our property in the winter time please be aware that it's quite a steep driveway and a truck or car with good winter tires is needed.
Just a short walk or drive down to a small, private beach, with kayaks to enjoy a paddle on the lake. *please note* This is a shared beach with other guests. During high water (usually from mid June to mid July) there is most likely no beach (unfortunately many beaches in the Shuswap disappear during this time as well)
Also, please note we cannot accommodate boats, or boat trailers.
- "What a wonderful little cabin with such a beautiful view! Very peaceful and so calm. A nice little getaway from the city. I would highly recommend this. The stars at night from the hot tub were definitely amazing to soak in!" - "Very beautiful and lovely spot! Everything was very clean, and well organized! The views were amazing! The host was very helpful, and replied right away! Would definitely recommend the cottage to anyone! Thanks a lot!"

- "we had three familys with kids and this cabin suited us all one family had the downstairs the other took the cabin and us grandparents had the upstairs kitchen and had a (solid sleep each night as we could hear the others) other than a rocky beach so bring water shoes we had a great stay and enjoyed the meteor shower on the large deck We all would stay again..." - "Perfect spot to unwind. The place had a real coziness feel to it. King bed on main floor was very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. Huge fridge. The detached private bedroom in the back was tastefully decorated. Having its own bathroom made it perfect. Enjoyed the pool table downstairs. I think the only downfall was you had to go outside to access the second bedroom and games room downstairs. I would highly recommend this rental. . Will return next year"

Located at Shuswap Lake in Blind Bay. This custom built cabin offers peace and tranquility, nestled up in a cedar forest. Sit on the front porch and listen to the sounds of a creek running past. The wrap around deck offers a view of the lake, BBQ & patio dining. Step inside and feel the rustic, warmth of the interior, with cedar plank walls, custom barn wood trim and kitchen cabinets. Vaulted ceilings with fir rafters and a loft for extra sleeping space. The bathroom is a private oasis with a custom vintage bathtub that sits in front of a large picture window out to the forest. There is a 5 minute walk up & down a steep hill to the entrance of our property. Walk across Eagle Bay Road for trail access to our private beach. Please NOTE: cabin is not Air Conditioned, there are 2 large ceiling fans & the forest shade which maintain a comfortable interior temperature. PLEASE NOTE: This is a legal short term renters with owners living on site.
- "Visited with friends and we really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean, private, and modern with rustic touches. There’s a few good amenities nearby for grocery shopping, dining out, and renting water toys or e-bikes. I was surprised to realize that the cabin wasn’t right on the water; the listing photos make it seem like it is. Instead, you have to walk down the rather steep driveway, through another front yard, and across a busy road to get to the water. The driveway is very steep; we are all able-bodied and in decent shape but struggled to walk up it every single time we wanted to walk somewhere and back. The entry for the private beach also isn’t clearly marked, and it took a bit for us to figure out where we were supposed to go. I have never been to the shuswaps before, so I didn’t know there were so few homes directly on the beach. Once we had it all figured out, we were quite happy, but there was a bit of initial disappointment. Regardless, I would most likely return here again or possibly try to rent the other cabin on the property at the bottom of the hill. Thank you for hosting us for a much needed relaxing vacation!"

- "Staying in this unique cabin in a rural setting is very relaxing. After we finished our work, we found the deck is a great place to have a drink and a barbecue. Lots of privacy, the owners live at the house next-door. We got some visits from Sam the dog who is super friendly and 3 friendly chickens who also enjoy the deck. Our hosts, Mercy and Perry made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Thank you to both of you. Erwin, Larry and Jason "

- "This is a stunning property the view is incredible and the cabin is beautiful." - "The home is beautiful, clean and has all the amenities you need. All of the beds have quality and clean linens and Maggie was extremely responsive to our needs. As I’m sure anyone can appreciate, the last thing you need after a long day of travel is to get lost in the bush. Don’t try to find this place at night and don’t follow google maps and don’t let the term, “tin poppy resort” confuse you. I will say the directions should state to follow turn right and follow the L’Arche Hills Forest Service road, as per the current sign. Despite the location/way-finding, it is a beautiful home and we enjoyed our stay."

- "A great time this year again. Weather couldn't have been better, hot! Water was from refreshing to warm and was a welcome break when it started getting hot!" - "Our family had so much fun on this private lake front property. Tracey and Mike greeted us and showed us around for check in. Our boys loved the paddle boards and peddle boat. We liked that the marina was very close for essentials and of course ice cream! We had some rain during our stay and kept dry under the covered deck. Evelyn Falls is a short hike from the property and worth checking out. We also checked out some farmers markets in the communities close by. In the evenings we enjoyed a fire with firewood supplied. The hosts were great to deal with, we had good chats with Mike. The hosts take pride in their property and it’s beautifully manicured. The cabin is a bit crowed for a family of 4 but very affordable and it had everything we needed and some. We spent most of our time outside soaking up the sun on the dock. We loved that we could park our boat on the buoy that was provided. Nothing beats that view you wake up to every morning, you won’t be disappointed!!"

Tin Poppy Cabin is more than just a place to stay—it's an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and immerse yourself in the beauty of British Columbia’s backcountry.
- "A lovely location set amongst the trees in Larch Hills. Comfy beds (slept like Babis I. The peace & quiet) and a nice, spacious and very comfy screened in porch for relaxing and playing cards. And a great, unique decor! The outdoor shower was fantastic too!" - "We had a great experience at Tin Poppy. Even though it was off the beaten path, it was easy to find with the helpful signage. Our dog loved being able to roam around with a bit of freedom given there were no other people/dogs around. My partner enjoyed the great scenery for photography. I loved the screened in rooms which made you feel like you were outside but had protection from bugs (and a buffer from wildlife if you are a big chicken like me). I have already recommended this spot to some of my friends. We will definitely be back."

White Lake House is a tranquil and quiet retreat. Although this property is not on the water, it has beautiful views of White Lake's turquoise water. Sit on the porch and watch all of the lake activity, cozy in and read a book or, via various lake accesses, swim, paddle board, kayak, or boat. In addition to water activities, the area also has hiking, biking, golf, or small communities to explore. Sorrento and Shuswap Lake are a 10 min drive while Salmon Arm and Adams Lake/River are 20 mins. Perhaps even a stop at a winery or restaurant.
White Lake House is a cozy 1100 square foot space with a quaint full kitchen, two spacious and nicely appointed bedrooms (1 being a loft), 2 full bathrooms (1 with a tub), a comfortable living room with a fireplace, dining area, and a large porch overlooking the lake. The gardens are calming, and the property is private enough to have an outside shower! We also have a clothesline to easily dry all of your wet clothes and towels.
Although we don't have lake access, it is only a 5 minute drive to three public accesses that we outline in our property book.
In addition to the house and outside shower, there are beautiful gardens and a grass space to play bocce or badminton. When fires are allowed, there is a fire pit to enjoy. There is a lovely rose garden, and depending on the season, many other flowers blooming or fruit trees budding. There are other buildings on the property where we stay when we are on property that fit into the decor, and both spaces are private from each other.
The driveway is steep, in the summer it is accessible by most vehicles but in the winter AWD or 4WD would be a requirement. If you bring your boat, we have a parking spot at the bottom where you could store it.
This property is ideal for a family of 3-5; one or two couples: two couples with 1 child. You might come to White Lake for amazing fishing or to visit family/friends in the area but wanting your own space. Whoever you are, we are excited to host you and have you experience a bit of White Lake magic!
The main house has three beds: a queen in the loft and a bunk bed (single up top and double on the bottom) on the main floor. Technically the single bunk shouldn't have anyone who weighs more than 100 lbs. To accommodate additional guests or a more roomy configuration, we have a double bed in an out building available upon request for an additional cost, please enquire at the time of booking.
- "Beautiful house, better than advertised. I had pictures to upload but looks like the site won’t allow it, amazing view of the lake from the deck, shared with hummingbirds who visit the feeder. Inside is immaculate, though we spent most of the time outside. Those with dogs may want to crate downstairs, as the carpet upstairs is light. Overall highly recommended—my wife wanted to stay for a week—next time." - "Beautiful views from many spots indoors and out."

Access to the lake is within the resort....try to bring water shoes as it is a bit rocky. I had 3 kids under the age of 12 and 2 teenagers....everybody had fun at the waterslide. The kayaks were a bonus (there are some adult emergency floatation jackets at the cabin but I would recommend bringing your own lifejackets) Overall a great place to be in the summer...."

Disconnect in a tiny log house on lakefront property on White Lake, known for it's clean and clear turquoise water, great fishing and water sports. The cabin is not directly on the lake. Walk 1 to 2 minutes down a sloped pathway and you're there. Some people have said the path is steep, others say it is fine. If you have family with an RV we have room! Please contact us for details.
Only 30K from Salmon Arm or 90K to Kamloops, we are central for exciting day trips, skiing, golfing or hiking. There are no other guests on the property. We live here year round so you will see us outside or at the beach occasionally.
The cabin is a simple but functional one room log home. Exposed logs on the outside, finished and painted on the inside, it is a 20' x 10' space with an extra long queen size bed and a full bathroom with a shower. The kitchenette comes with 2 hotplates, toaster, coffee maker and microwave. A toaster oven is available. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, pots and pans, cutlery, S&P, coffee, sugar and cooking oil. Outside is a propane BBQ. You can eat inside at the drop leaf table or outside at the patio table.
There is a loft with a second queen bed but this space is best suited for children as the ceiling height is low. The loft is open to below and best suited for children over the age of 4.
There is a firepit just outside the door plus another one at the lake, bring your own firewood or buy a wheelbarrow full for $20.00 COD.
The traditional Finnish wood-heated sauna is right at the lake. Completely private, large enough for 4 to 6 adults, this amazing experience is $40 and is not included in the nightly rate. All firewood required to heat it and towels are included. Stay in as long as you want, cold plunge in the lake as it is just steps away. In the winter we may be able to cut a hole in the ice right off the end of the dock. It is thoroughly cleaned between guests. Please note it is available evenings and weekends as we work during the day. Two hours notice minimum is required to get it ready.
This is a residential neighbourhood. Our closest neighbour is 250' away uphill from the cabin and our house is 75' away. The cabin faces away from both. The lake freezes over normally mid January and the ice often is here until mid April. If the ice is safe you can ice fish or cross country ski right from here.
There is little or no cell reception here. We have wifi but it's a rural area and sometimes slow. Activate wifi calling on your phone before you arrive if cell reception is needed. There is no TV in the cabin. I supply a few games and puzzles but bring some games and activities if you choose to be indoors.
At the lake there is lots of room at the dock to moor a small to medium size boat or rent our tinny fishing boat with electric motor. The sunsets are glorious on the dock!
- "Cozy functional little cottage a minute walk down to the lake dock. There is a lakefront sauna you can also rent which we fully enjoyed. Janine and Gord were very communicative, friendly, and easygoing." - "Absolutely awesome stay for my birthday getaway. Will be back soon to fish and enjoy the lake!" - "The cabin was clean and comfy, things were just as described. It was a way off the beaten path, which we didn’t realize. We had a rainy stay and the driveway was a bit muddy. I’d recommend it for a place to stay, especially in the summertime when the weather is warm. "

- "Everything about this rental was amazing! It's not as close to the water as I thought, but we still kept busy with all the walking and people watching. The homeowner was great with all questions or concerns. Very helpful. I will definitely rent this place again." - "Very well accented and decorated unit with a great relaxing vibe. Fun community and small businesses all around, and beautiful views" - "The place is spacious and clean. However, we encountered some things that made it less than ideal. The hot tub was too hot (107) so we could not use it the first day. The dishwasher was not working, found out the water to it was turned off. Hot water was limited, if you wanted to take back to back showers, the second person had a cold one. The set up was fun and gave you space from your guests (with the bedrooms on either end and the trailer to use) Great outdoor games."

Authentic Finnish Log Cabin on Lakefront property at White Lake.
Space for an RV is available. This small log cabin is perfect if you want a simple comfortable place to relax close to the lake. Not a glossy hotel, more upscale rustic. Relax around a campfire, enjoy beautiful sunsets from the dock a short walk from the cabin, rent the wood heated sauna, go for a hike or go fishing.
We are on the quiet side of the lake and this is the only rental on the property. We live here year-round.
The space
Disconnect in a tiny log house on lakefront property on White Lake, with clean and clear turquoise water, great fishing and water sports, 30K from Salmon Arm or 90K to Kamloops. Not directly on the water, the cabin is a couple hundred feet from the lake.
We now have a serviced RV spot if you have friends that want to join you. Contact us for pricing and more information.
There will be no other guests on the property but you will see us outside or at the beach occasionally. This is a residential neighbourhood and not completely isolated. The cabin is 250' from the nearest neighbour uphill and around 75' from our house. The cabin and our house face away from each other. There is a big willow just outside the cabin door and a small fruit orchard directly above that help with privacy, in the winters it is more open.
The cabin is a simple but charming 100 year old log building, a tiny home away from home. The inside is not exposed logs but still a little rustic. Only 200 square feet or 10' x 20' the space is all one room for sleeping, eating and lounging. An extra long queen bed, small table & chairs, kitchenette and a small loveseat make up the main room with an additional regular queen mattress in the 10' x 7' sleeping loft. Listed for 4 people, it is best suited for two adults and two children as the ceiling height in the loft is low and the area is open to below. Full bathroom with a shower. Kitchenette has 2 portable cooktops, coffeemaker, microwave & toaster oven. A propane bbq and fire pit are out your door. Bring your own firewood or buy it COD $20/load. The property is private and quiet on the south side of the lake with spectacular sun sets.
The traditional Finnish wood-heated sauna is steps from the water. It is very roomy, large enough for 4 to 6 adults. This unique experience is extra; it takes time and wood to heat and requires close monitoring until it's ready. It is not included in the nightly rate and is available for $25. You can stay in as long as you like. In the winter we may be able to cut a hole in the ice if you want to brave the cold water! It is thoroughly cleaned between guests and is available evenings and weekends. We work during the day and may not be around until 5PM. We provide towels and a non alcoholic beverage for your enjoyment. Two hours notice minimum is required to get it ready.
There is no tv and barely any cell service so bring games or activities if you choose to stay indoors. We supply a few games and puzzles and there is wifi but it's a rural area and service sometimes is unreliable. We recommend enabling wifi calling before you get here if cell service is critical. We have a landline phone available if needed.
The lake is accessed by a 1-2 minute walk down a slightly graded path. There is a 2nd firepit lakeside and you can swim or fish right off the dock. In winters the lake freezes over and ice fishing is excellent.
There is lots of room for your water toys and room to dock a small to medium size boat. We have a small tinny fishing boat with electric motor available to rent.
We live here year round so you will see us coming and going to work or working outside. The cabin faces away from both our house and the neighbour's so we all have privacy. Occasionally us or our family will be at the beach or sharing the dock.
White Lake is close to fantastic hiking, snowshoeing and biking trails, with a bike park and playground a 5 minute drive away on the other side of the lake. Shopping is 15 minutes away in Blind Bay or 30 minutes to Salmon Arm.
Guest access
You are free to walk around and explore, use the grassy area adjacent to the cabin for lawn games or toboggan down the orchard in the winter, lounge on the dock or the grassy beach area. There is a mini fridge for your use in the sauna shack.
Registered guests only.
Other things to note
The cabin and our family home share the six acre property, they are @ 75' apart and face away from each other. The lake is a 2 minute walk down a slightly graded path with a rocky beach and a grass lounging area. Please use any chairs that are there to enjoy the dock or the fire pit.
The sauna is lakeside, there is a change room with a mini fridge in the same building. Towels are provided, if you have flip flops please bring them with you. As the sauna is wood heated we need 2 hours notice to prepare it.
The property is definitely rural but still a residential neighbourhood. Expect to see us or our lovely retired neighbours outside or going for a swim.
The tap water is supplied by a well and high in minerals. Occasionally there is a sulphur smell easily fixed by running the hot tap for 2 - 3 minutes and you will notice the water pressure is not as great as city-supplied water. Country living! I supply drinking water that is better for drinking and coffee and tea.
We normally have snow from November to March. The driveway is long and in winter we recommend vehicles have good winter tires and front-wheel, four-wheel or all-wheel drive. In the fall and spring expect some mud here and there (sorry, we try but it is the country) so good tires and sturdy foot ware are important.
In the summers we love to jump off the dock, the water is deep off the end and perfect for fishing and swimming. In winters the lake freezes over with great ice fishing just steps away.

A love of nature and the outdoors required. Surround yourself with nature in this unique cabin nestled on a bench in the forest on the face of Mt Chase. The cabin is off the grid with solar lighting, gravity fed water for washing and drinking and a brand new new outhouse for the potty room. A small kitchen with a 3 burner stove, sink, cooler and pantry makes cooking fun. Camping experience helpful. Several outdoor destinations within 1/2 hr drive from the cabin
The space
Take a walk into the wild side of British Columbia. A short walk up through the forest takes you to an unforgettable wilderness accommodation. Completely hidden from the outside world, the cabin sits in a grove of alpine fir trees, on a mountain bench overlooking the South Thompson River valley. Sun Peaks lies directly through the west window and the gently rolling mountains of the Shuswap through the north window. Upwards, behind you to the east, as you stand on the deck, extends Mt Chase and utter wilderness.
Please be aware, the cabin is truly in the wilderness. A complete lack of civilization exists. When the solar lights are out in the treehouse, the only glow are the stars in the sky and possibly your spirits soaring. The only sounds are your own and a possible owl hooting, frog singing or crickets chirping. The treehouse is surrounded by a vast forest, absolutely full of life.
-The cabin is lit with solar lights but on the short winter days, power needs to be used wisely. There are also two very bright battery lanterns available. Lights are the only use of electricity. No other devices, though I can provide a battery pack for charging cell phones.
-Bedding and lots of kitchen stuff is provided and a little kitchen for cooking and heating water for cleaning is inside
-A low flow, gravity water system provides water for washing, showering with a small toilet and sink. The very nice outhouse is also available
-My 160 acres and the surrounding crown land provide you with your own private winter wonderland. 2 km of my driveway make a very fun sledding, snowboarding/ski run. Lots of area to explore with snowshoes and cross country skis. Absolutely private, meaning there will be no other humans around. I live at up above at the end of the road and am virtually isolated from cabin and driveway activity.
-Butler Rd, which is my driveway is 3 km long and I maintain it quite nicely. A 4 wheel drive can make it up easily and depending on the type of car, can make it up too. Worst case scenario, I can pick up you and your gear and drive it up, leaving your car in a parking area at the bottom of the hill.
Bear and mosquito spray are provided. The ability to climb two flights of stairs is a requirement, as well as a keen sense of adventure.

The space
White Lake House is a cozy 1100 square foot space with a quaint full kitchen, two spacious and nicely appointed bedrooms (1 being a loft), 2 full bathrooms (1 with a tub), a comfortable living room with a fireplace, dining area, and a large porch overlooking the lake. The gardens are calming, and the property is private enough to have an outside shower! We also have a clothesline to easily dry all of your wet clothes and towels. We also have a separate sleeping bunkie with a queen sized bed and a bathroom to go with it. If you are interested in an additional space because your party has more than 5 people or you have five people but would like an extra bed, please inquire.
Although we don't have lake access, it is only a 5 minute drive to three public accesses that we outline in our property book.
Guest access
In addition to the house, outside shower and dunking tub, there are beautiful gardens and a grass space to play bocce or badminton.
Other things to note
White Lake is a lovely community that is tucked away and yet is a short drive to shopping, hiking, biking, eating, and more. Our space allows you to sit back and relax or be active. You get to choose!

The bottom part of the property is fully fenced to keep kids and dogs safe with a large patio set up for outdoor dining. We also have a newly built staircase leading up to the upper part of our property complete with a dreamy swing and a view of the lake!
The space
Odin's Place was originally part of the Hudson Homestead! It was later moved when they converted the barn into a cabin! Odin's place is complete with 2 bedrooms , 1 bathroom, tall ceilings and open concept living is yours with a fully stocked kitchen. Upstairs you'll find two large bedrooms and a family room/loft area. One bedroom has a king bed, the other has 2 queen beds. We also have a pull out couch both up in the loft and downstairs in the living room. There is a deck off the loft area, however, it is currently off limits due to safety reasons.
We have a half acre for you to enjoy that backs onto even more untouched land. Due to the recent wildfires in the Shushwap area there are absolutely no fires allowed. However, please feel free to responsibly use our table top propane fire.
Anglemont is the gem of the North Shushwap! Odin's Place is conveniently located just minutes past the Anglemont Marina. The Marina is the go to spot for yummy icecream, grocery staples, alcohol, boat and paddle board rentals. We are also minutes away from Lakeview Community Park to the south and St Ives Beach Resort to the north- both wonderful spots for swimming and picnics. We also have a secret beach access only guests will get to know about! The trailhead to Evelyn Falls is a 5min drive away and the trailhead to Albas Falls is only 20min away. Since Anglemont is already north, you are only a 45min drive away (on logging road) to the famous white sand beach at Seymour Arm!
We accept dogs at no added cost! We love dogs and know they are a part of your family too. One of the biggest reasons we wanted to rent out our place is because we KNOW how hard it is to find a rental that is both dog friendly and dog safe! For us, being dog safe is having a fully fenced yard that your dog can wander freely in. So that is the first thing we built after we purchased. Please bring your dog and let them enjoy. We just ask that both you and your dog treat our property with respect!
