The property was immaculate and Erin and Kevin wonderful hosts, they were attentive and available without intruding on our space/privacy. The cabin was immaculate and had everything one might need for a perfect little getaway...from the quality of the bed linens, towels to the little wood-burning stove and outside covered cooking firepit, etc. The hot tub was also a very nice feature, robes and shoes all provided, We especially liked that one our first night it was lightly snowing, seem to make our stay even more delightful. The cabin has modern touches with a rustic style that complemented each other beautifully. This was such a relaxing romantic getaway. We seriously have nothing negative to say about our stay but rather highly recommend this place! Our stay was perfect in every way and we can't wait to return again & next time we'll be staying a little longer."

Experience an authentic on mountain ski-in/ski-out cabin with direct views of the Burfield chair and stunning Sun Peaks valley. The cabin is located at Burfield Heights and is a short one minute walk from parking area. The village is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk.
The cabin sleeps up to 6 adults or 4 adults and 4 children and features 3 bedrooms, master has a queen bed, bedroom 2 and 3 have a double bed with single bunk and 2 full bathrooms. The spacious cabin has 3 floors with a family room and master on main floor, living room, kitchen and dining area on the 2nd level and 2 bedrooms on 3rd level.
Enjoy the convenience of a fully-equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher (pots, pans, dishes, etc.). In addition, the cabin has a washer/dryer, all linens and TV.
There is a large deck and plenty of outdoor space for tobogganing. Everything you need is here for your convenience and a great vacation.

- "Sun Peaks is the place. Burfield is the chair 32 is the house. Thanks" - "I recently stayed at this chalet for 1 week in February to ski Sun Peaks. Overall we really enjoyed our stay! Being so close to the Burfield chair base is a unique ski-in/out experience. The area around the Burfield chair was one of the first parts of Todd mountain to be developed. Its history is evident inside the chalet with ski memorabilia and maps that pay homage to Sun Peaks' chronology. The trade-off for being so close to the hill is that no direct road or parking lot access can be challenging. The only way to get to the chalet is to walk down snow-covered paths that are not maintained; expect a slip or two (Guests with mobility issues should be aware). Those looking to be close to the village and any apres events, dinners, or shops should be mindful that the walk is a good 25+ minutes. Shuttles stop after 9:30pm, and their daily schedule could be more reliable. This chalet is ideal for those looking to be in a more secluded area of the hill. The chalet itself was in excellent condition and you could tell it was well taken care of by the family and previous guests. Some of the appliances are dated, but the house was fully stocked with cutlery and cookware. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, with fresh sheets and towels in the closets. The hosts also left some common spices in the cupboards, which we replaced before departure. Overall I would recommend this chalet to others and hope to return one day. Many thanks to Jackie and Sandy for the wonderful week."

- "Great location but unit needs some furniture upgrades" - "Our stay was very pleasant - check-in was easy and we received quick responses. All essentials were provided and the location was awesome. Just a step out the main entrance and you'll be in the hub of Sun Peaks. Great place for families to stay. The sofa bed in the living room was quite uncomfortable to sleep on but I found a futon mattress in the closet that I used to place on top of the sofa bed the second night and it was much more comfortable. Wish I would have known this sooner, but it didn't effect my stay too much! Would stay here again in the future."

- "Very clean and cozy apartment. Appliances look like new, and great location as well!" - "Would have been nice to have more clarity of where to go, where to park, etc. They first sent us to wrong parking lot and charged us then later told us we were actually staying up the road and didn’t know why we were told to park downstairs. - "The apartment was exactly as shown in pictures, However, it was not very clean. When we moved an ottoman it was filthy underneath. The oven takes forever to heat to temperature and the unit is located right above the portico at the front entrance- it’s very noisy."

A quiet top floor condo with stunning views of the main mountain. Walk across the street to enter the village pedestrian mall and the tapestry of Sun Peaks cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops unfold in a short stroll. Start the morning ski session by walking across the street, click into your bindings and glide through the village mall and down to main lifts. Finish skiing by gliding off of the Gentle Giant ski out, release bindings across the street and home to relax.

Elevator access to a secure 1st floor ski locker and parking garage with bellman carts available in the lobby to make arrival/departure quick and easy.

Amenities include: Mountain view / balcony located hot tub, wifi, cable tv w/ Sonos audio surround sound, Apple TV, Netflix, etc. TV in the master bedroom. Kookaburra Lodge has a mix of full-time and part-time residents. Our condo is managed by Bear Country Property Management. You will have 24 customer service should you ever need it – and a person from Bear Country comes daily to ensure the hot tub water is maintained to professional standards.

Our plan is ultimately to have this as our retirement home. In the meantime, we’re constantly updating it with furniture, appliances & cookware to make it a warm, comfortable and fully functioning household.

Sleeps up to 8 with 3 bedrooms. Master and guest bedrooms are on the main floor. Third (kids) bedroom is in the upstairs loft. Two hide-a-beds (1 in the living room and 1 in loft common room).
