- "Very cute and clean! Would stay again!" - "Beautiful view of mountains. Lovely spot." - "Awesome place to spend time with family." - "The home was in great shape, and was perfect for a little getaway. Easy to get to and great views of the mountains." - "comfortable, lots of space for two families with kids. Had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay." - "Nice log cabin off the grid with lots of amenities." - "The property had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Even when it got cold the heat worked quickly, which was nice for colder months. The bedrooms were all nice fairly similar for the three on the top floor. It was a little hard to find the place at night in the dark, but we managed eventually luckily we had the photos of the property to compare as we couldn’t see any addresses. One suggestion would be for the check in directions received to say which way to turn onto the street the property is on as my google maps only has the location up to the street, not specific house. Would stay again!"

Welcome to the Blue Serenity Cabin! This Brand new cabin is located in the beautiful Sunshine Valley, 2 hours from Vancouver, 15 minutes from Hope, and 35 minutes from Manning Park.
All four seasons have something to offer. In the winter, ski, snowshoe, ATV, slide down a hill on a toboggan, or snuggle up with a good book by the fireplace. In the summer, hike, canoe, paddle board, fish, and ATV, or simply just gaze up at the stars and enjoy the stunning mountain views…It's all here.
We are one of the first properties that is finished in our new neighborhood in huckleberry, so don’t be surprised if you hear some banging from our future neighbours during the weekdays.

It was very quiet but a quiet time of the year as well - March. All the conveniences of home were available." - "Overall we really enjoyed of our stay in this cabin, but in my opinion needs a couple of things. First needs window screen so we could open the window to flow the air especially for upstairs in hot days. There are lots of game boards for kids to play. It's very easy to connect with the owner and answer our questions very fast."

- "Very pleasant stay. Thank you!" - "Near Manning Park and Hope, this is a convenient and peaceful place to stay. The cabin is as advertised with clean, well appointed rooms. The kitchen easily accommodated our extended family of 8 with a big wooden table and chairs for everyone. The kitchen had everything we needed and the owner's requests around dogs (not on furniture and not to be left alone in the house) were reasonable and easy to follow. We really enjoyed it and would happily go back."

Hygge, a Danish way of live I learned from my relatives is translated to mean "a quality of coziness and comfortability that embodies a feeling of contentment and or well being" That is our hope for you when you come and stay at our newly built cabin in beautiful Sunshine Valley! Sink into the comfy bean bag chairs and be warned by the wood burning stove as you gaze to the snow covered mountains at the large windows. We are a nature lovers play ground with extensive trails for ATVs and snow mobiles. Or head to Manning Park just half an hour away to ski in the winter or swim and hike in the summer. We are a new development and some of our neighbors are still in the progress of building so you may hear some construction noise, especially in the warmer seasons and during the week, But be sure to walk around the neighborhood to check out the variety of cool architecture!!
- "The house was clean and beautiful! Easy instructions to follow for the woodstove, amazing views, this was the perfect spot to relax for a weekend. Lots of nice items to use while you’re there, toys and board games for kids and adults, this was a perfect getaway 👍👍 5 stars through and through" - "Just getting out with the family and walking in the snow which was a surprise because we didn't think we were going to have any snow. So we went on night walks and in the afternoon. We look forward to going back"

- "When most listings say 'mountain view' they mean on a clear day if you squint you can kinda see it out the bathroom window. Not this place! Snowcapped peak views abound - through every window (I didn't actually check every single one, but it's highly probable)! It is IN the mountains. The host was very friendly and prompt in reply. One of our kids messed up (repeatedly) on entering the key code after returning from a hike, which got us locked out. One quick text and we were inside in moments. I couldn't believe how quick the response was, we were very grateful for that. Note - we arrived on March 3rd. If you are not from around here you'll definitely want AWD if not 4WD if you're showing up around this time. The roads are steep and snowy. Saw a couple sports cars thinking they stood a chance and had a good laugh."

- "Elena was very responsive, Cabin was perfect and central to many trails. Our family enjoyed our time there was a great spot to get together." - "This cabin is pure cabincore. It's cute and cozy " - "Lovely cabin but needs a thorough clean and freshening up. Bathrooms were clean but very very small. The hot tub (which is a hot tub, not a whirlpool) is uninviting, too dark and no control of the lighting which goes out at 10pm and 2 high steps to get into it seemed dangerous. Deck needs some chairs to lounge in and enjoy the view of the small yard. Patio table seating was broken and therefore unusable. Our host was responsive and friendly. "

Beautiful well-appointed cottage with everything we needed. Comfortable and bright, huge TV to watch the playoffs on, patio with a fire pit, the works! Only caviat is that the neighbourhood is still under development so there’s plenty of construction, but that’s not the host’s fault. A cozy rustic log cabin in the Cascade Mountain community of Sunshine Valley. This little cabin will provide you with an escape from the city with its relaxing (private) hot tub & gas fireplace.
*Pls note: Sunshine Valley is a neighborhood of cabins-we have neighbors on either side. Some people enjoy bringing ATV's to the area. You may hear these vehicles, particularly in the busier summer months and/or weekends. The community is growing and there are some new constructions in the area*.
The space
Sunshine Valley is 30 minutes from Manning Park where you can hike, ski (downhill & cross country), sightsee, mountain bike, and picnic by the lake (there's also a restaurant/pub onsite at Manning but check the website for hours). Alternately, stay close to the cabin and find some trails in and around Sunshine Valley or enjoy the local “Cedar Lake” with your kayak or canoe! Visit the nearby community of Hope which offers restaurants, golf, and a few historic sites. Check out my Guidebook for suggestions of things to do in the area!
However you choose to spend your day, you'll enjoy coming back to the cabin, turning on the backyard string lights and relaxing in the hot tub under the evergreen trees. The hot tub is covered by a snow shed with privacy lattice to provide you with cover from the elements and privacy so you can relax and feel at home.
When you are ready to come back inside grab a heated towel, set of slippers (provided), hotel quality bathrobe, and warm up next to the cozy gas fireplace. Sprawl out on the huge comfortable sofa, dim the lights, and listen to some favorites on the record player (we supply some classics, but feel free to bring your own favorites too!).
Games, puzzles & cards are available for you to use, or if you prefer, there is a TV upstairs in the primary bedroom for you to connect your laptop (or use your own streaming service with the fire stick provided). HDMI cables also available.
You’ll find the cabin has a multi-tiered backyard with beautiful large evergreen trees offering privacy and that woodsy experience you came for. While neighboring cabins are around, you'll find them to be quiet and private as well. Relax around the propane fire pit in the backyard (propane supplied).
Enjoy a coffee or meal on your fully covered front porch or have a seat in the backyard with your morning coffee or evening glass of wine during the warmer months.
Make any meal you like with the back porch BBQ (propane supplied) and fully equipped kitchen. Kitchen has a propane stove/oven and fridge with freezer (no microwave or dishwasher).
The shower is small but mighty! Enjoy a hot shower with excellent water pressure from both a handheld and/or rain showerhead. Dry off with a heated towel from the towel warmer as you step out of the shower.
Fall asleep in the cozy sloped roof bedrooms listening to the frogs and birds from the comfortable beds or rain pattering on the red metal roof. Each bed is outfitted with 100% cotton flannel linens, hypoallergenic duvets and pillows. Fans are provided in each bedroom if you prefer a little white noise or during hot weather. Every window in the cabin has a screen to keep the bugs out.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: (Also, see "other details to note" section).
*The cabin comfortably accommodates and is best suited for a maximum of 4 adults. We suggest that children are over 8 yrs of age due to the hot tub and steep staircase. The dining table & couch seat 4 and the hot tub gets pretty tight with more than 4 people in it. However, if you wish to have a 5th person join, please inquire, and note that we charge $35/night extra per additional person. We are able to set up an additional single bed in the master bedroom (on the floor) with flannel bedding, pillows, and a duvet (bed is 6" memory foam and comfortable). The fee is to cover the additional cost of cleaning & laundry (bedding, shower & hot tub towels, facecloths, etc -laundry is done in a paid laundromat and flannel linens do not dry quickly :)). We ask that the couch is NOT used as a sleeping area.
*If you do not have more than 4 guests, but would still like the single bed setup in the Master bedroom, please let us know. It will be a one-time $35 fee (to cover the additional costs of the laundry and time our cleaners spent setting up/taking down the bed).
**If bringing your dog, PLEASE INFORM US and include your dog in the reservation request. We charge a $25/night pet fee per dog. Again, this is related to the additional cleaning required after a pet and also laundry costs as we provide a dog bed, paw towels, furniture pet blanket, poop bags, and food/water bowls on a doggy food tray. Sorry, we do not accept cats or other animals.
***Please note that there is a security camera on the exterior of the property which shows guests arriving and leaving.
***Our cabin is located in an older well-established neighborhood of Sunshine Valley, but please note that there are new homes being built nearby. You may hear construction noise related to this. Unfortunately we have no control over this.
Guest access
You'll have full and private use of the cabin and hot tub. A manual with 'need to know' info (and some extra tidbits) will await your arrival should any questions arise.
Prior to your arrival you will be sent driving directions to the cabin and cabin access information. Wifi info is located inside the cabin on the record player hutch.

*The cabin comfortably accommodates a maximum of 4 adults. The table seats 4 and the hot tub gets pretty tight with more than 4. However, if you wish to have a 5th person join, please inquire. Pls note that we charge $35/night per extra person. We are happy to set up an additional single bed in the master bedroom (on the floor) with flannel bedding, pillows, and a duvet (bed is 6" memory foam and comfortable). We can provide additional seating in the backyard and at the dining table inside. The $35 fee is to cover the additional cost of set up, cleaning, and laundry (done in a coin laundromat). * The bathroom includes hand and shower soap as well as shampoo & conditioner, toilet paper, Kleenex & towels.
