- "Stayed here at the beginning of July. For those unaware, in most of Okanagan County fireworks are prohibited making this the perfect location to take our anxiety ridden dog for the 4th. This was our first time at this home. The pictures are a great representation. Its high ceilings and open concept made it feel huge. The central air made the near 90° weather easy to escape. There is a large master bedroom and bath upstairs. The home itself is located a few miles out of town making it even more peaceful. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay or just a good base to explore the area I highly recommend this home."

The entire cabin was clean and easy to access. The wifi worked and we were able to stream videos in the evening. The laundry facilities were great. The kitchen was well organized and the dining area was big enough for the four of us. The cabin made it possible for us to have a lot of fun! The only cabin difficulties were the lack of a shower in the second floor bathroom and the need to drive to the property manager several miles from the cabin to get and drop off the keys."

Guest Reviews:

- "clean and nice." - "We enjoyed our stay. Everything was great." - "The cabin was wonderful! We had easy access to trails, town and the pool! We were even able to enjoy watching the rain from the partially cover deck! It was hard leave!" - "We've stayed here before a few times. We like it because it is a log cabin. It's an attached cabin, not a stand alone, but it feels like it is a stand alone as it faces a different direction from the other front door. They are beautiful log cabins with log furniture. They are cozy feeling and we love to look out the windows at the snow. They are also right on a xcountry ski trail and it is REALLY nice not to have to pack up to head out every time. The drawback to the lovely setting is that the cabin is an almost 20 minute drive from town (Winthrop) but there is a full kitchen and you can go for quiet night time walks. They could use some more flatware, especially forks. The person who sends you the instructions for check-in is fabulous, easy to reach, quick to respond and friendly."

- "The cabin was the perfect weekend getaway for my husband and me! It was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the tv had Roku where we could sign in to our favorite streaming services. We enjoyed watching the wildlife and exploring the trails and shops nearby. Would stay again!" - "No futon but the couch was a pull out. A family of deer made every morning and evening a beautiful sight. Great location" - "This cabin was great! Location made it easy to relax after a day of hiking in the national park. Only issue was the water temp changing when the other tenants flushed the toilet or were also showering. Owners were great to work with. There was a lot of pet hair on the couch when we arrived, and one of our kids is allergic to cat hair. After leaving a message, they called right back, confirmed the previous guests had a dog, but had housekeeping come out right away anyway. Excellent service!!"

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT YEAR ROUND TRAVEL INFORMATION--READ BEFORE BOOKING A RESERVATION:
1)It is the responsibility of the guest to have travel plans in place to travel either over the North Cascades via Highway 20 OR to travel over Steven's Pass through Leavenworth OR to travel I-90 over Snoqualmie to Blewett Pass through Wenatchee and then up the Columbia river to the Methow Valley. If one route is closed, it is the YOUR responsibility to make alternate plans for travel. NO REFUNDS will be given at any time of the year simply because an alternate route must be taken and add additional travel time. Highway 20 is closed in the winter and mountain passes can be closed anytime of the year because of wildfires, rockslides or other occurrences. Directions over all the routes will be sent to. you 3 days before your arrival. Make sure to check pass reports(and they can change while you are en route) and print out the directions before you leave.

2)Trail Access/Closure Information:
If you are coming to hike, bike, or ski on a trail or system of trails which happen to be closed before or during your stay, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. Trail closures can occur anytime because of fire, rockslides, mud flows...and we have no control over this. There are many hiking, biking trails of various kinds in the Methow Valley. If access to the North Cascades National Park is closed via Hwy 20 for any reason, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. There are a number of beautiful hikes in and around our valley that we would be happy to recommend.
INTERNET POLICY..PLEASE NOTE:
**We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley and outages or tech issues can occur that we have no control over, and for these reasons NO REFUNDS are given if the internet is problematic. We also do not guarantee that the internet will meet your work/school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through Airbnb describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will then contact the internet provider, and/or homeowner. Please note... our valley is very rural and getting service personnel to fix things in a timely manner can be a challenge. We rent lodging, not office space.

Public internet is available at the Winthrop library with enhanced internet speed (parking lot or inside the library). Alternatively, for a fee you can go to the Dropzone in downtown Winthrop. Thank you for your understanding!

IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION :
**Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme with large snowfalls, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, impassable roads/driveways). If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA

**Propane Fireplace--should there be tech issues with the propane fireplace during your stay, please send a message through Airbnb. Methow Reservations and the owner will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem. If the problem requires a part or there is an issue with the propane company that may take longer that your stay, NO REFUNDS will be given. Electric heat is available as the main heating source, the propane fire place is supplemental

**THE COMMUNITY POOL and HOTUB are PRIVATELY OWNED AND PRIVATELY MAINTAINED...IF THEY ARE NOT IN OPERATION, NEITHER HOWLING WOLF CABIN OWNERS NOR METHOW RESERVATIONS IS RESPONSIBLE AND NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN!!**
