A large screen enclosed porch with ceiling fans and comfortable furniture serves as a second living room overlooking the lake and Uwharrie National Forest. A dock and steps leading into the water are convenient for taking a cool dip. Bring your boat or jet ski and enjoy fishing and the serenity of the lake's 115 miles of shoreline. The dock has room for a boat or jet ski to tie up and access to deep water.

Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer (in the unfinished basement), utilities, wifi, gas grill for outdoor cooking, fire pit with Adirondack chairs, satellite Dish televisions; Netflix, DVDs, books and games. A large hot tub with a fabulous lake view is located beneath the screened porch area (great if raining). A covered gazebo (in the summer) to give you a place to get out of the sun but still enjoy the incredible views. A large yard for tossing the football or frisbee. A canoe and kayaks are available (with life jackets) to enjoy exploring the lake or fishing for dinner. And of course, a hammock for an afternoon nap. This great home has 4 bedrooms - 2 queen, 1 king, and 1 bedroom with twin beds, plus a cat napper sofa. There is also a portable cot that sleeps 1. This updated home has updated appliances and granite, and both bathrooms are completely renovated with tile and marble. There is a wonderful screened in porch facing the lake with spectacular, unimpeded views of the water and wildlife. You will love having your morning coffee there and watching the sunrise. The kitchen and living room area is one big open space and is designed for large families. Beneath the screened porch is a patio with a porch swing and outdoor furniture. There are plenty of floats and various sizes of life jackets for enjoying the water, and there is a ping pong table, 2nd bath, and washer/dryer downstairs. There are also 2 kayaks and a paddle board for guests to enjoy. In 2018, we built a beach area at the water front with real beach sand. It's such a nice, relaxing feature, and children especially love playing in the sand. There's also a fire pit for those evening gatherings near the water around the fire. In 2019, we added an additional indoor stairwell leading to the downstairs. If you have a PWC (personal watercraft, like a Wave Runner or Jet Ski), we have installed a landing pad joining the pier where it can be safely parked when not in use. Guests are welcome to bring their own boat which can be parked safely on the side of the pier. (The boat lift is reserved for the owner's boat.)

Lakeview Cottage is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath 400 sq ft park model home. The bedroom is small, but very functional with a super comfy queen bed. There is lots of room underneath the bed for your luggage. The living room is spacious for its size and has a queen pullout sofa. There is TV with streaming services for cable channels, over the air antenna for networks and Netflix for your favorite movies. The Wi-Fi is strong and reliable at speeds of 15mbps. The kitchen is cute and functional and fully stocked for all your cooking needs. Coffee is provided. There is a small dining table for two and two bar stools for the kids. Outdoors is a HUGE covered deck, as well as another uncovered area on the lower level for grilling. We are fully stocked with fresh clean linens, bath towels, toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap and cleaning products.

Badin Shores Resort is a HUGE gated resort full of mostly park models, modular homes and about 10% RVs. The particular area this home is in is mostly park models and modulars. The Amenities include large swimming pool, basketball, putt putt, volleyball, playgrounds, sandy beach area, boat ramp, marina, fitness center, on site bar and grill, fishing pier and a one mile long lakefront boardwalk.

Lakeview Cottage is in the quietest and nicest area of the resort, but it’s also the furthest away from the amenities. The pool, basketball, volleyball, fitness center and putt putt are a 1 mile drive around the resort. The marina, sandy beach area and restaurant are 1/2 mile drive. Please don’t expect to walk to the pool.

You are welcome to bring your boat or jet skis, but the security gate will charge you a $50 guest entry fee. You can get a pass to leave and get gas and come back. There are two parking lots that you can park your boat and trailer at. One lot you will pass by on your way and it’s 2/10 of a mile from the cottage. They are 72 hour lots so if your stay is longer than 72 hours, you should move it to the other 72 hour lot to avoid a parking violation. There is NO boat parking in the driveway of the cottage. The road is way too steep and narrow to back a boat in.

**The pool is usually open middle of May through middle of September. This can change due to weather, running out of chemicals or other unforeseen issues. We are not responsible for any pool closures**

**Badin Shores is in a rural area neighboring Uwharrie National Forest. We do have an on-site restaurant, as well as 3 other restaurants within 5-10 mins. The nearest grocery store is 20 mins away, so we recommend you stopping on your way here for any groceries you may need**

** We have a security camera mounted on the deck facing the driveway and lake. It also provides lighting for your safety. This camera not only protects our property when it’s vacant, but also your vehicle when you are there. We also use it to make sure our cleaners have been there.**

Come enjoy the beauty of Badin Lake and stay in this lakefront cottage! The house has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and an open kitchen/dining/living space. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has bunk beds with a full size mattress on the bottom, twin on top and a twin trundle. Kitchen/Dining area seats six and there is a table for 6 outside as well. The couch pulls out and makes a comfortable spot to watch movies once the sun goes down and it’s time to wind down. The house is nice, but the view outside is one of the best. Located in a cove, you have the safety of swimming and playing right off the dock without boats speeding by. The dock is covered and has a double jet ski dock attached. Sit on the patio, enjoy the view of the lake, and watch the sunset. You will not be disappointed with the view.

We have 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms with comfortable sleeping space for 8 guests. This lake home sits on a beautiful wooded lot with 4 steps to the front door and the main house is all on one level with wrap-around decking on both the main level and basement level. It has 4 bedrooms, the primary suite has a king bed with an en-suite with jetted tub and separate shower. The first guest room includes a queen bed, the second guest room includes a full bed over looking the lake and the thirds guest room has 2 twin beds that can be made in to a king size bed with all bedding included. All bath towels, beach towels and bedding are included. Even dog towels are provided. (There is a pet fee of $120. If you have more than 2 pets please let us know so we can take that under advisement and if agreed upon, we will collect an additional pet fee.)

This cottage comes complete with a margarita machine, espresso machine, keurig, coffee pot, tons of games for the family, fire pit, bar-b-a grill, awesome porch and a large dock for fishing and boat parking. We have lots of fun water toys for rent as well, including 2 kayaks, large splash pad, 2 paddle boards and a 24ft. pontoon boat for rent! There is no shortage of fun here. You can even walk to a great lakeside restaurant with live music, karaoke and ice cream for the kids.

Robins Nest is a one bedroom camper setup permanently on a private lot. It has a beautiful deck that is great to enjoy the evenings as well as a large elevated patio with gazebo that affords beautiful sunset views and is a great place to cook out on the flat grill and enjoy company.

Please note the lot where the home is located has a steep hill and is not ADA accessible. There are steps leading down from the upper patio to the home.

Located in Badin shores gated Resort community. Guests will have access to all amenities the park offers which includes the pool, beach, putt putt, R/C track, weight/workout room, boardwalk, playgrounds, grills/picnic tables, fishing pier, stocked fishing pond, basketball courts, volleyball, pickleball, horseshoes, restaurant/bar, boat ramp and hair salon.
Other things to note
All adult guests are required to have State issued picture ID to enter the gate.

The home is located on a steep lot that requires some stair steps to access the home, it is not ADA accessible.

We welcome couples and small families (maximum of 3 people) who want to enjoy the lake life. Robins Nest is our second home and we ask our guests to be respectful of the home and property. No parties are allowed and only those listed on the rental agreement are permitted on the property and in the house.

- "Great stay!" - "This was our second stay at a Spirited Retreat. I thoroughly enjoyed both stays. The A/C maintained better than mine at home and the heat index was 98 while we were there. The home has a great entertainment area for teens and young adults on the lower level. The master bedroom on the main floor is fairly quiet even when teens are up late watching tv upstairs. The home is immaculate! Super clean! I cooked at least one big meal each day of our stay, and everything I needed in the way of dishes and gadgets was there. The master bath is to die for! I don't know if the rain shower or the soaking tub is my favorite! Our whole family used the one bathroom. Lots of nice big towels. The home is very close to the public boat ramp. It's THE best home on Badin Lake. The only downside are the steps to the dock, but if you want deep water like me (a fisherman) it's unavoidable. Just extra exercise! This place is perfect!"

- "We had such a nice stay at this lake house. We stayed a week and a half and we can't wait to go back again. Some of our favorite features were a dock where we could tie off our pontoon boat, a ladder into the water for swimming off the dock, and best of all, once you exit the basement door, you are only a few steps away from the dock and the water. The small backyard area is flat and level and the dock is so close to the house. We loved being able to quickly go back and forth from the dock or boat to the house when we needed more supplies or a quick sandwich!We cooked almost every night and the kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. In addition, we grilled several nights and it was nice to have access to the grill just outside of the basement walk-out. When we weren't on the boat or in the water, we enjoyed relaxing in the covered water-side porch area. There was a swing, some lawn chairs, and a small refrigerator. Also, on our one rainy day, we were able to use the smart tv to watch any of our streaming services or use the free wifi. Finally, it was nice to have access to a washer and dryer, while nobody wants to do laundry on vacation, we did need to regularly wash our beach towels. Brenda was a wonderful hostess and responded quickly to any questions!!"

Phoenix is brand new and custom built. Our unique ‘bicycle themed’ tiny house is warm and welcoming with beautiful tongue and groove walls and ceilings. Amazing handmade leather furniture, fireplace and large TV create an inviting gathering place. Full size appliances, quartz countertops, quality dish ware and a fully stocked kitchen make meal preparation a breeze. The bathroom is roomy and has a walk-in shower with seating and glass door. After a fun day of all the activities that Badin Shores has to offer, a comfy queen size bed awaits. The bedroom has 2 closets with barn style doors, a dresser and TV.
Phoenix Tiny House boasts of a beautiful lake view, as well as The Uwharrie National Forest that can be enjoyed from the huge screen porch or open deck. We also have a lower deck with gas grill and bistro table. There is plenty of room for parking and only 3 steps to enter the screen porch. It’s a perfect couple’s getaway!
There is lots to do at Badin Shores Resort…swimming pool, basketball courts, playgrounds, beach area, fishing pier, boardwalk around lake, marina, Joey’s Bar and Grill restaurant, horseshoes, putt-putt, and track for remote control cars.

Badin Shores Resort is in a rural setting and restaurants aren’t plentiful. Bring your favorite cut of meat and enjoy our grilling deck. We have a well stocked kitchen for your use. Also, a great food truck, The 812 Grill, is usually set up right outside the park.

- "I enjoyed my stay. The property was nice and clean. I expected with it being a resort there would be a lot of loud noise but there was not. There is a small loft with a mattress upstairs and the master bedroom is downstairs. On day one, the a/c in the living room went out and Jill was very responsive, scheduling a maintence person to come fix it. The property is well appointed with all the necessities. The only feedback I'd give is make sure guests can find necessities easily. I needed an extra blanket and while there was one in the master bedroom, I needed an extra blanket (mini-split in the back put out a lot of cold air) and found it upstairs but I had to crawl on my knees to find it. Same with pots and pans. I think this could have been mitigated by moving the blankets stored upstairs to the closet downstairs and letting guests know on the fridge where to find the pans. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend."

You are welcome to bring your own boat and tie up to our deep water pier. For your enjoyment, we offer complimentary kayaks available for your use. By lake and by road there is access to golf, tennis and some restaurants. Additional activities like horse back riding, hiking, hunting, picnicking, nature viewing and ATV trails are all available in the adjoining 50,000 acre Uwharrie National Forest.
Your hosts have professional culinary talent and broad European travel experiences and can make gourmet dishes available to you with advance notice. Private, guided lake excursions by boat can also be arranged.

- "Kim and Rainer were gracious hosts, and their apartment was cozy and well-appointed. We took advantage of the kayaks and patio area, and were really impressed by the all the thoughtful touches. We had the privilege of meeting them but we had complete privacy in the apartment, the dock and the lake. The apartment is beautifully decorated and immaculate. We had everything we needed and Kim had provided so many special touches (homemade cinnamon crumb cake, orange juice, coffee, tea, condiments, fully stocked kitchen, towels for the lake, and so much more). We swam in the lake, and almost used the kayaks but a pop up thunderstorm hit us. We had the most special dinner served to us at the lake, prepared by Kim (a gourmet chef) with a little help from Rainer. :) It was the most magical moment and the food was absolutely incredible- the best bread I have ever had, the salad and the dressing was mouthwatering and we had chicken piccata which was also amazing. We also chose her delicious dessert. Words cannot describe what a wonderful time we had and we cannot wait to go back!"

- "Comfy & Cozy little lake cottage. Small but just right for a couple or family of 4. The beds are super comfy. Only thing with the main bedroom that we would change would be adding a window unit ac in there, if you close the bedroom door it gets very stuffy in there. The ramp is steep that goes down to the lake but there are hand rails and rubber gripping for safety all the way down the ramp. We loved the firepit and we would definitely stay here again! LIVING ROOM: The living room has a queen-size couch, love seat, coffee table, end table with lamp. Smart TV with cable access and Free WIFI. The living room is open to the dining area.

DECK- The deck area overlooks a large lake, with seating for everyone for your early morning coffee, or your fun evening BBQ's. This deck will be the center point of your stay; we are absolutely sure you will enjoy it as much as we do. The home also has an amazing screen in porch that you can enjoy lake views from. Outside there is also a grilling area for you to use during your stay. We also provide 2 Kayak's for your use while enjoying your lake days.

Linen for all the beds, towels, washcloths, a kitchen dish towel & dish rag set as well as 1 STARTER size set of shampoo, conditioner, soap & 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 roll of paper towels and several trash bags.

The closest grocery store is 20 mins away (Lowes Food) or there is a Dollar General that has some grocery items as well a few minutes outside the neighborhood.

There are only a few restaurants in the area. Cheers is in the neighborhood, 812 Grill (a food truck at the front of the neighborhood entrance just before pulling in) and Scallywags is just a 10 min drive.

The house is fully stocked to cook and enjoy your meals on the enclosed patio or deck looking at the lake. (Stove, Oven, Microwave, and propane grill)

Some attractions near our house include: NC Zoo, Uwharrie National Forest, Badin Lake, gold mines, Old North State Club Golf Course, Just minutes from Badin Family Restaurant and the charming Badin Drive-In Movie Theatre.

- Events/Large groups: No more than 6 guests are to occupy the unit each night. Large parties or loud noise that causes a disruption to the resort and their guests will not only constitute a full charge of the security deposit but will result in the police being called to REMOVE you from the property immediately upon notification.
