No guests allowed and absolutely no shoes in the house. We have elderly people who needed support and the no shoe policy was painful for us. Our parents live nearby & proximity to their home as well as the many shopping options couldn't have been better. The Denver airport is about 30 min away & made it easy to get to & from without issues. Check in/out was easy and host communication was wonderful. The home & surrounding property itself is lovely. Our host, Sara, made it festive & included decorated Christmas trees, holiday decor & special touches throughout. The house (4 bedrooms/3 bathrooms) was plenty big for the adults & the little ones, & the downstairs was extra roomy - a perfect place to run around. The adults enjoyed the pool table & the large sectional-which was very comfy. The perfect room for our Christmas morning present opening. There was plenty of kitchen space for lots of helpers for meal prep, & appliances for everything you might need. The dining room was large enough for all of us to gather around the table-as well as a few bar top spaces if needed. It snowed while we were there & just outside our back yard was a cute park that we played at a number of times. Although we did not get to use it, the back deck had patio furniture, BBQ grills, firepit, and a hot tub, & I can imagine it would be perfect for enjoying in the summertime as well. The large quartz center island is a great gathering place and has comfortable bar stools. Included is your own washer and dryer. There is a work station with secure, high speed internet for working from home or just checking your emails. Hopefully the view won’t distract you. Kick up your feet and relax on the comfortable couch watching TV, with the cozy fireplace. The smart TV includes YouTube TV with on demand shows and local stations. There is a queen sofa sleeper with a upgraded mattress. At night, you’ll sleep great in the comfortable and large king size bed. On chilly nights, enjoy the heated mattress pad. Off the bedroom is the ¾ bath with a shower, hairdryer and basic toiletries.

What makes the Pinery Retreat stand out is the outside space. May to fall, enjoy the sounds of the relaxing waterfall pond in the spacious backyard. Relax on the patio with a cup of coffee or your favorite beverage. Watch the sun set and then end the day with city lights and stars. You will see deer wandering thru the neighborhood and the yard. Birds love to visit the waterfall pond or bath in the stream. You must love dogs, since my 4 dogs share the yard. You may even get to see them practicing for their dog competitions in agility. My youngest Border Collie would love to play fetch with you.

-A/C and heat are shared with the thermostat located in the main house, not controlled from the space. There is a fireplace heater, electric space heater and fan.
-Lower level, with a private entrance, which is accessed thru the shared backyard and 10 outside stairs. We live full time above the space, but you will have complete privacy or we're here if you need anything. The only shared space, is the outside yard.
-My 4 dogs share the yard with you. It can be arranged ahead of time, and I can try to keep them out of the yard, when you're there, but you may still come across them. They are friendly, but may bark when they first meet you.

Must like dogs, since my 4 friendly dogs share the yard. Deer do roam the property. No service animals due to shared yard with my dogs. You may hear them barking, but it would be brief.

It is a basement space of our house and we are up at 530am, but we do try to be quiet as possible. We are conscious about keeping the noise down, but like a hotel, you will hear some noise above you. I have a noise machine available, if needed.

There is a not separate temperature control, only heat/air vents. I have a separate portable heater, electric fireplace and fan. The utility room is in the space, so you will hear some noise. It stays cool from the summer heat.

The entrance is accessed thru the back of the house via a short sidewalk, the deck and 10 outside stairs. It may be snowy in between shoveling. I do my best to keep it clear.

Welcome to our cozy retreat in the small town with a big heart, Parker, CO. Our safe & spacious walkout basement offers added privacy with a separate entrance to the unit, and provides all the comforts of a home including full kitchen, in-unit washer/dryer, making it ideal for extended stays or weekend getaways.

We are only a 10-minute drive to Downtown Parker and I-25.
Various restaurants, grocery stores, parks, hikes, etc. are only a few minutes drive away.

Use the side-door to take 10 stairs down to the garden-level walkout basement with private entry.
As you enter the unit, to your left you will notice the kitchen with brand new full-size dishwasher, 5-burner electric range w/ oven and microwave, and fridge. We also provide pots and pans, plates and bowls, utensils and cutlery to prepare and enjoy your meals at the dining table to your right.

The living room next to the dining area offers comfortable seating for conversations and viewing your favorite shows on the 55in Smart TV. The living room windows open to the west with a garden-view, bringing in ample daylight.

Next to the living room is one of the two inviting bedrooms, with a memory-form queen bed, soft and clean sheets and pillows, dedicated workspace with office chair and monitor for productive working sessions, and a closet to store your personal belongings.

Down the hall from the private entry is the second bedroom, also equipped with a cozy and clean queen bed, second dedicated workspace, and a walk-in closet.

Next to the bedroom is a well-lit bathroom with vanity, making getting ready for the day a breeze. We provide hairdryer and basic toiletries in the bathroom; if you need anything else, just ask. Fresh set of towels are provided in each bedroom for your convenience.

In the hallway, the laundry room has brand new washer and dryer, for your use, for free. No need to haul your dirty laundry to the laundromat and fumble with coins! The water heater room and the storage room in the hallway are locked.

Small space heater and tower fan are provided in each bedroom for your comfort. A/C and heat are shared with the main house, and cannot be controlled from this space.

The staircase in the hallway leads to the door to the main house. This door is locked at all times. The staircase is blocked with a baby gate, and should remain engaged at all times. This ensures safety and privacy for the guests in this space, as well as for the owners living in the main house.

Outside, the peaceful backyard awaits you! Enjoy the crisp Colorado air while sipping your coffee or your favorite glass of wine. With direct access to the backyard, you have ample space to unwind. Backyard is a shared space with the owner's family. We are mindful of your space and privacy.

The walkout basement has private entry with a keypad lock, accessed via stairs through the side-door. The keypad code will be shared on the day of check-in.

Parking is on the street in front of the house. There is room for 2 cars.

The backyard is shared. Access to the outdoor deck is not provided.

At no point during the stay would a guest need to access the main house and the outdoor deck, or the owner need to access the basement (other than for maintenance, for which a 24-hour notice will be provided and permission will be requested).

We will be available to communicate with you about any questions that you may have about the unit/stay, any additional accommodations that you may need and ultimately any emergencies that may come up during your stay. The best way to reach us is through VRBO messages.

We maintain the thermostat at 70F in the winter, and 75F in the summer as it's connected to the main house, with the thermostat located upstairs. The air vents can be adjusted to regulate the air flow. If you prefer warmer/cooler temperatures, we provide portable heaters and fans in the unit. Additionally, we offer a humidifier to ensure a pleasant atmosphere during your stay.

The smart TV is connected to high-speed internet. You may login to your preferred content providers such as Netflix and YouTube to enjoy your favorite shows.

My wife, Monika, and I (Kunal) are working professionals and live in the main house upstairs. We may have friends and family visit us occasionally for evening drinks & food, or for an extended period. Please note, as much as we try to keep the place quiet and relaxing, occasional noise from upstairs may occur.

Security cameras are placed throughout the exterior of the property including the backyard, for safety. Absolutely no cameras inside!
