- "We were cycling around the Luberon and Pertuis was the starting place for us. The rooms were large - they let us wheel our bikes into our room. We could sit on our terrace outside our room and have our wine. There was a restaurant next door that was very good. They had a pool but it was too cold for me! Very quiet, good clean room, good breakfast. The only thing to know is that it is about a 8 minute cycle ride into town. We have lights on our bikes so that was ok with us (and it was downhill coming home!)"

Gite St Sophie is perfect if you’re looking for calm, tranquillity, open space and ‘real Provence’ It sits in a lovely location, at the end of a farm track, surrounded by 7 hectares of vineyards. Throughout the year the landscape and colours change and the in summer the vines come right up to the terrace of your gite.

The traditional gite is well furnished and includes a few interesting and antique artefacts. - "Our 20-day stay in Provence was delightful in so many ways, and our hostess, Jacqueline, made it all even more special. Her home is set in a lovely location between vineyards and forest, and close to many of the "Most Beautiful Villages" of France. The views from our top-floor apartment were picture perfect. Fresh flowers and a bottle of wine from the area were part of Jacqueline's kind welcome. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. Jacqueline graciously provided us information for hiking in the area, grocery shopping, and even spent a day guiding us on a walk to a beautiful nearby village, where she gave us the historical background of some of the buildings. She answered our many questions about vineyards, and showed us herbs growing wild along the path, and she was very patient with our limited French. She is a wonderful hostess – very personable and kind - and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at her wonderful home. We look forward to seeing her again on our next trip to Provence."
