The stone did keep the place cool but would recommend using the wooden partitions provided for shade as the sun comes thru in the afternoon but the deck is nice to watch the sunset. Traditional mas, immaculate inside, appears to have just been renovated, clean throughout, crisp new linens, comfy beds, two brand new walk-in travertine-tiled spacious showers on each floor, well-appointed kitchen (large fridge, gas stove, all sorts of utensils glassware etc), 3 powerful A/C units. Built as shepherd auberge leaning to hillside well-shielded from Mistral winds that normally make sitting outside unbearable (but not here though). Wake up greeted by sunrise, and the outside lounging area on the 2nd floor terrace gets plenty of sunshine all a/noon. Located 1 mile/20 min walk through the woods and vineyards from village of Ménerbes, also one of best options to stay in Luberon, pretty central, not as overrun by crowds but not too small so as to have five restaurant options + a weekly mkt on Thursdays. House situated on quiet narrow gravel road where you might not see one car or person pass by the entire day. Owner reached out early on w/advice & assistance. Tip: for bkfst w/best view in town grab a croissant at the village boulangerie and head to Cafe du Progres to enjoy the valley view from balcony. Highly recommend."

The building with a large garden plot is located about 3 km outside the pretty village of Ménerbes, surrounded by vineyards and forest, on a country road with very little traffic. On the upper floor are the two spacious bedrooms and a large bathroom with bath and shower. There are two separate toilets, one of which has a separate utility room, on half levels at the top of the stairs. The entire furnishing is very tasteful and functional, and the fireplace also worked well with the utensils provided. Only a privacy screen on the small toilet windows facing the street would be desirable. Billing of electricity and final cleaning was transparent and without blame. The swimming pool is located in the garden and is a nice size, even if we couldn't use it yet due to the time of year. W-LAN works well downstairs, upstairs it is a bit weak. As a family of four, we felt very comfortable here and can highly recommend this accommodation. We mostly used the shopping facilities in Coustellet (Super U, ALDI, petrol station), which can be reached by car in around ten minutes. There are also a few places to eat and drink in Ménerbes. Many tourist destinations in the surrounding area can be reached quite quickly by car."

- "Beautiful, spacious gite at the back of the owner's house overlooking a vineyard. What could be more pleasant? We were met by Eveline, the owner, who greeted us warmly and showed us around. She was a lovely host, there if you needed her, but discreet to let you get on with your holiday. We loved the patio overlooking the vines which was shaded for breakfast and lunch. The pool was a good size so you can do some proper swimming. We walked into Menerbes on a couple of occasions, which took 30 minutes. For the boulangerie we recommend driving to the bottom of the gite road and parking by the community centre before ascending a short way on foot into Menerbes, as it is on the approach road to the village centre. It also has a few other useful essentials such as loo roll! The main supermarket, Super U, is a 10 minute drive away. There is so much to see and do in the area, as well as wanting time to relax by the pool. A week was not long enough! Highlights included Menerbes, Gourdes, Roussillon, the Colorado Provencal, Saignon, a trip to Cassis and the Calanques and an afternoon in Aix. All fabulous! Merci Eveline!"
