- "We spent a bit more this year for a private pool and property in Provence. Phillippe and Francine are lovely hosts and live there, they will welcome you to the house and tell you all you need to know. They live in a separate part of the house so won’t disturb you. I think they only rent it out in peak season and then move back into the house. Good points: - Lovely views over to Luberon and the setting sun over the pool is lovely - Private. Phillippe and Francine take great care to leave the pool for your personal use and not share it. Same with the table tennis and boule - Large lounge area - Fly nets stop the wasps and mosquitos in peak season. We had to retire inside a few times. It was a saviour for us and the children - New patio and good condition - big fridge freezer (rare) and well stocked kitchen - child friendly, pool lovely in the sun - great views towards Menerbes and Luberon - superb road cycling Minor points - No charcoal BBQ (no one’s fault - they are banned due to the fire risk!) - no bakery nearby for breakfast, 3/5 miles away - some fittings quite old and could do with an update. - "The beautifully decorated property is very well located and within a 20 minute drive, you can visit Lacoste, Ménerbes, Gordes and Oppède le Vieux. The grounds are gorgeous.. The house is well appointed and can accommodate up to 8 people, but it would be a little crowded and the WiFi would be even slower. We were 3 to 5 and it felt just right. We would have liked a little more supplies, like trash bags, TP, dishwasher soap. But with some text exchanges with the owner, we were able to rectify the situation. The owner was readily available. The setting is a plateau above the village of Menerbes, with pine trees and garrigue, totally peaceful but only a 3 minute walk into the village.

The villa has a wonderful setting, it feels like you are in the middle of the countryside, with a private pool and a private terrace. The interior is modern and has an open plan 'loft' style about it.

It is spacious and comfortable, and specifically designed for 2-person rentals. There are two other units of the same size on the grounds and there is also a larger pool shared with them and set back away from the accommodation.

- "On the hill but only some minutes to walk down to lovely Ménerbes where small shops, bars, bakery shop and restaurants can be found. Equipment is simple, don’t expect high tec kitchen (ie no oven) but enough to prepare a light lunch or dinner. The view is beautiful and it was quiet (maybe we were lucky that no neighbours have been next door this week). The only thing that we would recommend to change is the mattress. The host was so kind to offer a bottle of rose wine, helped to book our dinner the first day and was always very responsive."
