We had four large rooms to sleep and enjoyed the time in the Hot Tub and playing Billiard. We even had snow when the rest of Québec was green. The chalet was nicely decorated for Christmas! The only downside was that we had to buy wood for the stove at Canadian Tire, since we only had four logs to use. However, we would book the chalet again, since it is a really nice place in the Laurentides!!!"

No window curtains/blinds to minimize the glare so to watch you have to wait till sunset. BBQ and split AC doesn't work. Our home is situated directly on the P'tit Train Du Nord. With no North, or East neighbors, you really feel like the trail is your own playground. With access directly from our 4 car parking lot.

Inside you have a tastefully renovated chefs kitchen, with stainless steel appliances, and unique coffee station featuring a 100 year old McClary oven.

The space
Our modern farm house has a super cozy feel to it. As you enter the front door, you walk into a large mudroom with plenty of space to bring in your gear, sit down and take your shoes/boots off. This flows into the hallway that connects you to the rest of the space. Both Bedrooms and Bathroom are accessed in this hall.

This opens up to the Kitchen and onwards to the dining and living spaces.

There is a backdoor that leads to the patio as well as our big yard which you are welcome to explore.

Guest access
Getting around is super easy.

We are located within 3 km from multiple grocery stores, pharmacies and restaurants. The city center is 5 minutes away by foot.

Highway 15 and Route 117 are both accessed very easily.

If public transit is your choice, there is also the Inter-bus route that passes by the front of the house, with routes bringing you as far south as Saint Jerome and as far north as Mont Laurier.

Parking:

We have free parking for up to 4 vehicles. After that there is plenty of street parking for free aswell.

Other things to note
Originally built as a single family home in 1935, this house has plenty of charm. It was converted to a duplex in the 1990's. That being said, we live upstairs full time with my dogs Ollie and Taquita and kitty named Zuchinni. So you may hear us from time to time.

We have done the best we can to reduce the noise transfer between units. And we think its really good. But this remains a 88 year old house.

The house is located on a large plot in the heart of nature. There is a volleyball court.

The house is a single-storey building. As you enter, you'll come to one of the family rooms. There's a wood-burning fireplace in this family room. You'll have immediate access to a powder room and the large room with washer and dryer.

In this part of the house, you'll also have access to two bedrooms, one with two double beds and the master bedroom with a queen-size bed and a crib for the little ones. A full bathroom with bath/shower is available in this part of the house.

Next, you'll enter the kitchen and dining room. The kitchen is equipped with all major appliances as well as smaller ones like a microwave, a small oven, a blender, a filter coffee maker with coffee provided, an original nespresso machine and much more. Everything you need to cook a large feast.

From the dining room, you'll have access to the second family room, which also has a wood-burning fireplace.

The other three bedrooms are in this part of the house.

The rear terrace, which is the width of the chalet, is a few meters from the lake and a private dock. BBQ, private spa that can be used year-round, outdoor lounge furniture and patio table for magnificent meals with a splendid view of the lake. It is the ideal place to admire the sunsets. In rainy weather, the living/family room offers the same splendid view, away from the elements.

There is a 46'' HDTV and a bluetooth sound bar. Wi-Fi access, washer/dryer, BBQ (not guaranteed in winter - propane provided) as well as a dishwasher at your disposal.

Full bedding is provided as well as towels for the showers (1/person).

Pets: Note that dogs are accepted in the cottage. A 75$ fee may apply per dog, maximum 2 dogs. See details on the booking form.

Several kayaks and a pedal boat are at your disposal for a ride on the lake or even fishing ! Clear and limpid water.

Blue Bird Chalet is located in Ste Agathe des Monts, about 1 hr north of Montreal. We are on a small lake (Petit Lac Long) with access to a much larger lake (Lac Papineau) 5 min walk away (where you drop your canoe or kayak into if you like). Newly renovated and fully equipped, there are 3 bedrooms (one of which is the entire 2nd floor with a queen and two singles plus a luxurious full bathroom (perfect for a family). We have great internet, all the appliances you need, a propane and charcoal bbq, foosball, darts, video games, Netflix, the list goes on. As well, you have your pick of embarkations! 3 kayaks,2 canoes, 2 SUPs, myriad floaters and big dick to lounge on. A great deck and firepit as well! Finally, even though we are 10min from the town of Ste Agathe des Monts (which makes life very easy), our cittage is on a private road and very quiet!
