- "Rick was very attentive to our needs without being intrusive. This is an older property which has been very nicely updated with modern bathrooms and kitchen. There is a lovely patio with built in natural gas BBQ and a nice view on the back of the property. Rick and Rose have an extensive book and art collection which is very interesting to peruse. Although we were able to make it work with a 1 year old visiting, there is no baby equipment onsite. I would highly recommend this unit for couples and families with older children and teens, but feel it is not ideal for young children and babies. We enjoyed our extended vacation, Thank, despite being there during the atmospheric rivers that bombarded California this winter! Thanks Rick and Rose for sharing your lovely home."

Minutes away from quaint downtown San Juan Capistrano home of the historic SJC Mission and where Orange County officially originated. The home is located in a small cul-de-sac in a safe & beautiful upscale neighborhood, with quick access to dozens of hiking trails (2 blocks away) surrounded by lush vegetation. Drive or ride your bike to the beach (less than 10 minute drive). From the backyard you can hear, the bells from the Mission and the train passing by SJC, also expect the visit of many birds, ducks and sometimes even rabbits in the evening. Short car drives to beautiful Dana Point, San Clemente, Laguna Beach, Irvine, Newport or Balboa Island and other towns and beaches. Drive a bit more than one hour to get to Los Angeles to the north and South to San Diego.

MISSION JEWEL is just over 3,100 square feet. It offers 5 bedrooms and 3 bathroom and sleeps 10 comfortably in beds. The kitchen is quite large and perfect for catering to larger groups. There are several dining locations both inside and outside the home. This property can only host 30 PEOPLE max for any event...no weddings.
The classically decorated and furnished living areas offer conversational groupings to enjoy during or after any day or evening event. It offers two parking spaces on the driveway, and plenty of parking on the street and public parking lot (day use only). There is a full size washer and dryer, beach chairs, umbrellas, and some additional toys for the beach to use during your stay.
The front courtyard is fully gated and surround with solid, stucco seat walls. It’s very private. The side yard adjacent to El Camino Real is quite large and with some tables and chairs is the best location for any day or evening event. All outside areas are landscaped with native style plant material and mission style architecture making it a very unique backdrop.
San Juan Capistrano is one of the oldest cities in California and there’s so much to explore. MISSION JEWEL is across the street from downtown San Juan Capistrano and the Mission Basilica San Juan Capistrano. The Historic Downtown San Juan Capistrano and the Los Rios District, one of the oldest neighborhoods in California, are within walking distance. You’ll be surrounded by charming antique and retail shops, dozens of restaurants, and art galleries. There’s even a petting zoo!

This home skirts the commercial district in San Juan Capistrano. The public library, a public parking lot for day use, and three small schools are across and down the street. So, there is some traffic and landscape maintenance noise during the day.
It’s also just minutes away from at least a dozen glorious beaches between San Clemente and Dana Point. Both cities are famous for their surfing and water sports. The Dana Point Harbor is also less than a 10 minute drive. Visit the many retails shops, restaurants, and art galleries in both cities historic downtowns. Leave from Dana Point Harbor for a day trip to Catalina on the Catalina Express! This unique place has a style all its own. It's a 1 bedroom apar. that sits in front of a duplex. It fits 2 guests and would be a perfect place for a quiet get away to the beautiful South Orange County. Its only 3 miles from the beach and Dana Point Harbor. Also, walking distance from the historic Los Rios Street and beautiful downtown San Juan Capistrano where you can find entertainment, shopping and amazing fine dining. There are historic sites such as San Juan Mission and famous Swallows Inn.
This is a 400 sq.ft. 1 bedroom apartment that sits in front of a duplex. The bedroom has a closet and bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals and enjoy your stay. There is no dining table, but a cute bar top peninsula with 2 chairs. There is no dishwasher, but a drying rack for your clean dishes.
The place is all to yourself. There is no yard, but the beautiful downtown San Juan Capistrano is walking distance from our place.

Only 3 miles from the beach. Also, walking distance from historic Los Rios Street and Downtown San Juan Capistrano. San Juan mission is a great place to site see. Zoomars petting zoo, ecology center and Los Rios park are great fun for the kids.
Uber and Lyft are easily accessible in this area. Metro link is walking distance from this property where you can easily visit San Diego or Anaheim. Also, walking distance from downtown where there is so much to do.
This unit only has street parking available for 1 vehicle as we provide 1 parking pass. It can be very challenging to find parking in the evening so we suggest finding a spot during the day and walking or using Lyft/Uber to get around in the evening.
-We are pet friendly with a $100 pet fee. There is no yard so you will need to walk your pets and pick up after them.
-Please clean out the coffee maker before you leave

It's wonderful for large family or group gatherings, or corporate groups, with extra bedding, extra towels, outdoor shower and outdoor fireplace, large kitchen with all appliances, extra tableware and utensils (also for children). Basic seasonings and condiments, coffee and tea provided.
Come enjoy fall and winter with 2 indoor fireplaces; one in the family room and one in the principal bedroom.

On the first floor enjoy an open plan with a light-filled interior. The separate living room invites you to relax with a comfortable couch, chairs, books and art. Play the drums if so inclined!
Dining Areas:
From the living room, enter the dining room where a granite dining table accommodates 8. Open the sliding glass doors on either side of the dining room and enjoy 2 patios where more guests can gather. Both patios have seating areas with a table. Another dining table outside seats up to 6 comfortably. After dinner, light the outdoor chiminea - a Mexican fireplace - where you can roast marshmallows and enjoy smores, while looking over the valley.
Family Room and Kitchen
Back inside, the family room has comfortable seating around the fireplace, where you enjoy the large flat screen TV with some programs provided. Wifi. The family room opens to the kitchen -- a large updated space stocked with all pots, pans, dinnerware and utensils you need. Work on the beautiful granite counter tops while preparing meals. The kitchen is well stocked with paper towels, soap, and the coffee is complimentary. 4 bar stools fit comfortably at the kitchen counter.
Bedrooms
The 4 bedrooms are large, light and comfortable.
The master suite upstairs has a king bed and fireplace with a large TV. There is also a sofa. The ensuite bathroom has double sinks in the vanity, big bathtub and separate shower. There is a large walk-in closet and a chest with room for your clothes.
Bedroom 2 includes two twin bed and a crib. There is a high chair is in the house too.
Bedroom 3 features a full bed that sleeps 2.
A "Jack-and-Jill" bathroom is situated between bedrooms 2 and 3 and has 2 sinks at the vanity, with a separate room for the shower and toilet.
Bedroom 4 is located conveniently on the first floor and features a queen bed; the sliding glass door leads to a front patio with a table and chairs. The morning sun makes it a perfect place for coffee. There is a a full bath adjacent to this bedroom.
Garage parking for 1 car, and plenty of driveway or street parking too. Washer and dryer. There is air conditioning in master bedroom only. Plenty of blankets, towels, pillows and comfort!
Safe and quiet family neighborhood on a cul de sac. Please note that there are no events or parties allowed in the home, and we have quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. to respect our neighbors.

I bought this house after living at the beach for 20 years. I was tired of the marine layer fog during May, June, and July. Located in a private gate-guarded community, it is only 8 minutes to both Dana Point and San Clemente beaches, and 3 minutes to the freeway. Mountain bike and hiking trails are steps away. The house has travertine floors downstairs and vinyl plank flooring upstairs. I just remodeled the bathrooms too. There are 3 bedrooms with a downstairs office which you can work from. The backyard is actually bigger than it looks and is perfect for outdoor dining. There's a built-in gas BBQ so you don't have to worry about propane. The house is equipped with everything you would need for family fun as it's my home and I have 4 grandkids. We would go to the beach and then head to the pool/jacuzzi afterward. There is a public golf course 2 minutes away and a pool, jacuzzi, workout room, pickleball courts, basketball courts, and playgrounds within the community. Downtown San Juan Capistrano is amazingly fun with great restaurants and nightlife. 31-day rental. No cats. No smoking on premises inside or outside. Am allergic. Dogs okay. Must abide by CC&R's and Rules and Regulations.

The home lives up to the photos and is comfortably decorated, fully updated, very clean and was stocked with everything we could need. The Wifi easily accommodated us both working remotely on video. The outside living space was equally nice with flowering plants and vines abounding. I don't think we ate a single meal inside during our stay. The neighborhood was equally marvelous, well kept and safe. The neighbors were also extremely nice. There is very easy access to the trail system in the hills. The hikes and views were amazing. Sherron's home is also relatively convenient to local shopping, the 5 and the beach. We had our three dogs with us and, although there was no grass on the property, the area is extremely user friendly for pups. The bottom line is we were very sorry to have to depart, but hope to be back next year."
