My wife and I attended a meeting in Stresa, Italy. Hotel Meeting was located very near the convention center. They have rooms in the main building, but they have also bought and renovated other small buildings around the block. We were in one of the side buildings. The exterior is old with character, but the insides have been fully renovated in the last few years. The room was small, but very functional. There was a small kitchenette with a sink, kettle, small fridge, and a range (no microwave). The bathroom had a large standing shower. Good water pressure and hot water. The room was a little cool, and the thermostat was not fully responsive. It was tolerable. If it were colder, this might have been a problem. There was wonderful breakfast included each morning. The hotel was only listed as a 3-star hotel, but it seemed better than some 4-star and 5-star hotels in which some colleagues stayed. There was very good WiFi both in the main building and in the separate building in which we stayed."

Stresa is a beautiful and elegant town on Lake Maggiore, at the foot of the Italian Alps.

The apartment "Vista Lago" has stunning views of virtually the whole lake and is very romantic. From the front terrace you can see Isola Bella and Isola Madre and Stresa old town and from the other side, you can see Laveno and the eastern side of the lake. This side also overlooks a wonderful sub-tropical garden filled with palms and flowering plants and the sound of birdsong. The terrace is large (30m2) and fully furnished with table and chairs and sunloungers and is partly shaded.

Secure garage available for one car but you do not need a car with this rental.

The apartment is stylishly but comfortably furnished and spacious (110m2) and is very well-equipped. There is parquet flooring throughout. The location is both very quiet and leafy, but is under a 5-minute walk from both the lake and the historic centre of Stresa with all its restaurants and shops.

It was recently renovated and finished to a high standard and has all the mod cons. Each room has a lake view and a view of 'Isola Bella'.

The living room has lovely views on the lake and leads to the terrace. It has a dining area for 6 people and a decorative fireplace. Milan Malpensa Airport is less than an hour's drive (31km) and 85 km from Milan itself. From the end of March to the end of September there is a bus service (Alibus) which takes you directly from Malpensa airport to the apartment in under an hour. It stops at the church on the lake, 5 minutes' walk from the apartment.

The bus-stop for the lakeside towns of Verbania and Arona is very near. The station is 15 minutes' walk away.

Stresa makes a perfect base from which to explore the wonders of Lago Maggiore: hop on any ferry to discover the magic of the Borromean Islands, the fascinating villas along the shore, the Piedmont towns of Arona and Intra and the picturesque towns on the other side of the lake in Lombardy. You can even take a full-day boat tour all the way up the lake to Switzerland (Ascona and Locarno). Stresa's railway station which is a 15-20 minute walk connects you easily with Milan (in under and hour), where you can shop, sightsee, or simply sip a coffee and watch the world go by in the famous Piazza del Duomo.

Apartment Fiorella is located up on the first hill above Stresa (about 250 m) and has panoramic views over Lake Maggiore. It is surrounded by a large garden and is only 1 km (less than 10 minutes' walk, via a private footpath) from the bustling town centre of Stresa. It is 42 km from Milan-Malpensa airport. The location is very peaceful and quiet.

It is situated on the 2nd floor with a lift. The bright spacious living room has been stylishly furnished and has a comfortable pull-down double "Murphy" bed (this is a proper bed 190 x 160 cm and not a sofa bed), satellite television and fully-equipped open-plan kitchen (dishwasher, combi-microwave oven, kettle, toaster, electric coffee-machine etc). It opens out onto a balcony with table and chairs where you can eat outside and with panoramic views over Lake Maggiore.

The "Serena apartment is located up on the first hill above Stresa (about 250 m) and has panoramic views over Lake Maggiore and the surrounding countryside and mountains. It is surrounded by a large, fenced garden and is only 1 km (5 minutes in the car, less than 10 minutes on foot via a private footpath) from the bustling town centre of Stresa. The location is very peaceful and quiet.

Stresa is 42 km (less than an hour) from Milan-Malpensa airport. From the end of March to the end of September there is a bus service called "Alibus" which takes you directly from Malpensa airport to Stresa. Alternatively, a taxi can be arranged for you (120 Euros single).

Its railway station connects you easily with Milan (45 mins fast train), where you can shop, sightsee, or simply sip a coffee and watch the world go by in the majestic Piazza del Duomo.

Stresa is the most popular tourist destination on Lake Maggiore and it's not hard to see why. With its beautiful lakeside promenade dotted with grand Belle Époque hotels and villas, its sunny beach and outdoor swimming pool (Lido Carciano), its delicious restaurants and little shops, many selling local products, its mountain walks and lake sports, there is something for everyone.

This apartment called "Bouganville" (50m2) is located in a period house in the historic centre of Stresa. Stresa is a very beautiful and elegant little town on Lake Maggiore, at the foot of the Italian Alps.

Stresa is less than an hour from Milan Malpensa airport and 85 km from Milan itself.

The apartment is functional and modern and in an excellent location, in a quiet pedestrian area but also within walking distance to everything. It is near the Palazzo dei Congressi. There is free parking 200-300 metres from the rental (at the new port and around the Palazzo dei Congressi).

Lake Maggiore and its famous "passeggiata" are only a few steps away and from there you can take a boat trip to the Borromean Islands (Isola Bella, Maggiore and Pescatori) or even to Switzerland. Stresa Lido with its well-equipped public beach and children's playground is 300 metres away.

Many restaurants, boutiques, shops, the "Carrefour" supermarket, various grocery stores and cafés are nearby.

The apartment, which is on the first floor, has been recently renovated and is furnished in a bright and modern style. There is a large living room with two Murphy beds. These are proper beds (150 x 190 cm and 90 x 190 cm) and not sofa beds. The kitchen which is hidden behind a large cupboard is well-equipped (with microwave/mini-oven, dishwasher, electric coffee maker, kettle and toaster). There is a table and chairs and satellite TV. Next to the living room, you have a spacious bathroom with large shower and bidet. The apartment has plenty of storage and cupboards. The rental can accommodate up to 3 people. Bedlinen and towels and cleaning included in the price.
