Recently extended, completely modernised and refurbished it will comfortably sleep six (plus a cot). Upstairs there is a large double bedroom with a built in wardrobe and cupboard, a twin room (the bed zips together to become a super king on request) and a bathroom with integrated shower over the bath. Set back from the road, Masons Barn is found behind electric secure gates and has plenty of room for a fleet of vehicles on the drive, with a further two car ports and a garage that has a snooker table and can store plenty of bikes.
Two of the bedrooms benefit from having super kingsize beds and the main bedroom has its own magnificent ensuite bathroom. A further two bedrooms each have twin beds. The main bathroom is huge and has a large walk-in shower, and like the en-suite, its fixtures and fittings are extremely high end and the attention to detail with the finishing is superb. All bedrooms are to the right as you walk through the main door, with the utility room opposite which houses both washing machine and dryer. To the left of the property is the main reception room, and with its beamed vaulted ceiling it really does give you the feeling that you are in an exceptionally spacious room that everyone can relax in at night after your day out in the countryside. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with everything you will need whilst on your staycation. With its wrap around veranda and outside space, the experience of tranquillity is very apparent. There is a firepit to enjoy on the patio area, as well as an enclosed garden which is safe for your pets and there is ample gardens to the front and back of the property.
There is plenty to do locally with the Hop Farm Village just a short distance away with lots planned for 2022, with Westlife Keane and Simple Red performing. The actual park is packed full with fantastic new features, attractions, and rides to entertain the kids and fuel their imagination. The Hop Farm is based around the world’s largest oast village. After World War II it was very popular for Londoners to come to places like The Hop Farm to pick the hops. Every year they would travel down here to work, renew friendships and have lots of fun. Be amazed as you enter The Hop Farm’s very own Magic Castle. Did you know it’s the first of its kind in the UK!

The space
A cottage with centuries of history – filled with beams, an inglenook fireplace and reminders of its former life as the village cobbler's shop. And nods to Horsmonden’s hop-picking heritage too.

This quirky cottage is immaculate. Sleeping up to 10 people, with 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a separate washroom. The kitchen and shower-room are brand new for Summer 2023.

The large 22-feet main living room, with a wood burner and TV, has views of the 1.5 acre village green - the heart of this quintessentially Kentish village. There is another sitting room with a second TV, which is great for kids who wish to play games or guests who want to watch something different. There’s a sofa bed if needed too.

The large range oven with a powerful induction hob is amazing for cooking a feast – and the 7’5” table in the conservatory dining room is a fabulous space for everyone to eat together.

There is parking in the driveway for one car and plenty of on-road parking available too.

Horsmonden is the perfect location to explore the Kent and Sussex countryside. The spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is a 20-minute drive and it’s only 40-minutes to the South Coast, whether that is the town of Hastings, the beaches at Camber Sands or the medieval town of Rye.
