The rooms are classic for an older property with sloping floors, that took some getting use to, but added to the character. They were freindly, helpful polite and could not do enough. Overall this is a great place to staff, if not to visit and if it were closer to home we would be there all the time. "

- "The check in process was a little unclear for me as the website didn't say much, I arrived during dinner service and it was a tad strange lugging myself and my bags through the restaurant as I didn't really know where to go but after guidance from the staff I checked in at the bar, there is a separate entrance/exit to use once checked in which made it easier for daily use rather than going through the busy restaurant all the time. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and my room and ensuite were bigger than I had expected. The bed was a good size with lovely pillows and fluffy duvet, it felt like home. I liked the room facilities such as the coffee pod machine, much nicer than sachets of cheap coffee in the morning and the hairdryer was good too. My room was very clean upon arrival and refreshed daily. The TV actually had a good choice of channels which all worked unlike some places. The bathroom was a great size with a powerful shower, good sized shower not a tiny box shower like you might expect from a hotel and it had nice large fluffy towels. I felt very comfortable and it was like a home from home for a few days. I was apprehensive about being above the busy wild west restaurant with loud music but you don't hear a thing, it was very peaceful which was great. This was the most comfortable hotel stay I've had in a while and I'd definitely return. "
