The Casitas are quiet, comfortable, and very clean. The staff were at the gate to welcome us upon arrival, escort us to our Casita and show us around the house. Bedrooms/baths are comfortable and tastefully decorated and supplied with every thing you need. The kitchenettes are adequate for small meals, though not a place you would want to cook much. The pellet smoker/grill on deck was easy to use and made it possible to grill food, which was helpful since restaurant/dining options seemed pretty limited nearby. The local grocery is very tiny and doesn't have a ton of options, so it might be best to stop at a larger grocery before you got to Torrey if you intend to make your own meals. We didn't take advantage of the food options through Cougar Ridge, but perhaps should have. Having coffee on the Casita deck watching the sun rise was great! Awesome view of the red rocks and peaceful farm with horses, llamas, and donkeys in the distance. Overall a great place to get away from the bustle and enjoy the peace and quiet."

For your privacy, the home has bedrooms and bathrooms on opposite ends. Main bathroom features a large, rain head shower and the other a jetted tub with shower. Each bedroom opens onto a private patio. The beds, mattresses and linens are of high quality for a good night’s sleep. For your convenience, we have a new stacking washer and dryer, if needed.

If cooking is your passion, look no further. Our vacation home kitchen is complete. All new Stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and island. There's a fire pit and charcoal grill when the urge strikes to cook outside, or just to stay warm by a fire under the stars. No neighbors = no lights = great stargazing. Great for kids with lots of space, toys, and a ping pong table in the game room. Older stereo (teach your kids what cassette tapes are!) and new 48" tv plus dvd player. The antique tv and radio in the living room don't work, but can contribute to the history lesson too.

Great bike or ATV rides, nature walks, and trail runs right out the front door (amazing 17 mile road bike loop under the Cockscomb or ~12 mile running loop on the old dump road), and of course Capitol Reef National Park and many many other natural wonders are within easy reach with a short drive. The bike loop was the last 2 laps of Tour of Utah stage in 2016.

Torrey has both seasonal and year-round restaurants within 2 miles. Good pizza, burgers, southwestern food and coffee shop all within a quick drive.

We are a five minute drive away from the Velvets as well as a 10 minute drive from Capitol Reef National Park. If you’re interest include hiking, fishing, four wheeling side-by-side riding or just relaxing and enjoying the scenery there are many places such as Cathedral Valley, Hickman Bridge, Burr Trail, and Fish Lake.

The outdoor fire pit is an ideal place to gather and tell tales of the adventures of the day as well as stargaze. The sunrise over the red rocks from the back patio was absolute fire! So beautiful. The hosts, Kelley and Kirk were so very accommodating and easy to talk too…in fact, turns out one of my husbands brothers went to high school with Kirk! Small world…especially in Wayne County! If you want a comfortable, warm and inviting place with amazing views of red rock country, this is the house for you! We plan on coming back very soon if the house isn’t already booked up by then. We took our little Frenchie with us, brought her crate and a gif out lead for the back yard and your well behaved, potty trained companion is welcome at this wonderful house."

- "This is a stunning home. We had a little trouble finding it because it was call "gray" and is more like "sage." But once we found it, we wanted to stay forever. New and clean. The 3 bedrooms are upstairs and the bathrooms -- one is on the landing and the other is on first floor. So for middle of the night "runs," there are a few steps to negotiate. Large washer and dryer. Spacious porch. Try the trout at Rim Rock Restaurant. We could walk to The Chuck Wagon deli and grocery store where I found raspberry jalapeno jam. Yum!!"

The studio is fully stocked and supplied with everything you should need while away from home. There is drip coffee maker and freshly roasted coffee from our local Shooke Coffee Roasters for the morning. There is a tea kettle, full pots and pans and anything else you may need to whip up a quick dish and the soap for washing up. The Kitchen island sits two and there is a folding table that will roll out and seat four if needed. There is a split cool that controls the temperature .

There are extra hypo allergenic blankets and towels. Eco friendly shampoo, conditioner and body wash are available at the dwelling. We use recycled or bamboo paper products and vegan, organic cleaning products wherever possible.

The bathroom is separated from the rest of the living space by a barn door. It's not insulated for sounds at all. Its best if everyone is very comfortable with each other if you choose to stay here.

The laundry room has organic detergent and stain remover for several loads of laundry. You will find yourself well cared for in this clean and comfortable in this modern dwelling.

There are books and games for entertainment. Netflix and Hulu are available for streaming on the smart TV. We do not have any cable or TV channels.

This property has 4 additional apartments in it. All dwellings are completely private and there is a shared back yard, and seasonal game room.

Our rental is a 1400sq ft 1 bedroom one bathroom full kitchen with washer/dryer fully furnished piece of heaven that sleeps 6. Come sit back and relax on the back deck with beautiful views of Boulder and watch the sunset. We are a five minute drive away from the Velvets as well as a 10 minute drive from Capitol Reef National Park. If you’re interest include hiking, fishing, four wheeling side-by-side riding or just relaxing and enjoying the scenery there are many places such as Cathedral Valley, Hickman Bridge, Burr Trail, and Fish Lake.

The house was very clean, beds were comfortable and the location was ideal. Two minor notes: 1. the master bedroom got very cold in the mornings while the air conditioning was trying to cool down the kitchen and front room, 2. Needed a few more baking pans/utensils. Not a great spatula to flip eggs, nor a pan to bake brownies. We used a muffin pan, which worked out OK. Overall, a beautiful, beautiful place that we would be lucky to stay in again! Loved it! We were so impressed with our one night stay. We received an email with instructions a few days before. The instructions were more than sufficient. We got in after dark and had no issues getting into our dome. We walked in and it was just as the picture had shown, maybe even better. We struggled a tad figuring out how to get the heat running. Other than that, we settled right in. The bathroom is not in the dome and you have to walk about 20 feet to the bathroom house. But you have a bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet specifically assigned to your dome. We found it clean and well stocked. The bed in the dome was comfortable and we are actually considering purchasing the same mattress for home. We woke up to a nice view and sunrise. The outdoor area had a covered picnic table, grill and corn hole. Because of our schedule and the chilly night we didn’t get to use it but it was charming and would have been awesome to have had we been there longer. It was close to both Capitol Reef NP and Glen Canyon Rec Area. There is not much in Huntsville but we did eat breakfast at Dukes Slickrock Grill and it was very good and unique. If we are ever in the area again we will certainly stay here. "
