It was clean and comfortable and it has a good feel to it - if that makes sense. Perhaps it brought back memories of traveling with my family when I was young and these motels were ubiquitous and adventurous. The Temple View Lodge has been around for a while and we had to slam the door pretty hard to get it to latch, but to us that was part of the charm. I slept better there than the national chain place the night before and I didn’t have to throw as many pillows off the bed just to sleep. I enjoyed talking with the young family managers about the improvements coming with new owners and look forward to staying there next time we come to Manti. It’s clean comfortable and a good price. Our lofted bed and breakfast is built on the "tiny home" concept. It's cozy and private with a full standard height kitchen, stove, fridge, bathroom with a walk in shower and a 5' high lofted bedroom upstairs with a queen sized memory foam mattress and living room. There is a large flat screen TV equipped with Netflix via ROKU and free wireless internet. Perfect for up to 4 guests so if you're adventurous and can climb our "Jefferson" stairs we'll make ready for you.

There is also an additional bedroom on the main floor with a standard 7' height ceiling with a super comfortable Casper Hybrid Queen sized memory foam mattress which will then increase the capacity to 4 persons (Ideally 2 adults and 2 children or 4 adults)

The loft house is a separate detached tiny home situated next to the Host's private residence with all you could need for a comfortable and private stay in Manti.

Our neighborhood is a vintage neighborhood by the Manti temple set back in the small rural location of Sanpete valley with a rich pioneer heritage settled by early Mormon settlers at the invitation of Chief Walkara. Nearby favorites to visit are Maple Canyon which is a favorite for hikers and climbers due to the beautiful forestry and conglomerate rock formations towering at an elevation of 6,700 feet. Even closer is Manti canyon. It is a favorite spot for hiking and 4 wheeling with beautiful trails and greenery and Yearn's reservoir is a great place to fish.

3) Outback Chicken for two - A specialty of the Layton's Loft. From our flock of Cornish rock chickens comes the finest air chilled chicken with intense chicken flavor and juiciness. This dish is a pan seared half chicken with a bed of wild rice, French sliced beans, organic grown side salads with 2 freshly made rolls. We take from the drippings of the chicken to make amazing gravy to go over it. This is sure to fill your hungry appetite. $38

4) Cauliflower crust pizza loaded with veggies such as mushrooms, peppers, olives, sun dried-tomatoes, topped with fresh herbs – 8 slices - (can be made to your request -Keto friendly). $28

5) Gourmet Chicken Salad (this can be made to go) that includes grilled chicken, organic grown baby greens with all the salad toppings such as olives, tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, avocados, cauliflower croutons and dressing. $16 (dessert is not included).

6) Home grown grass finished gourmet beef cheeseburger served with a generous portion of air fried potato fries topped with melted cheese. $14 (dessert is not included)

7) Balsamic glazed grilled chicken with fresh basil, tomatoes, garlic and onions served with angel hair pasta and with an organic grown side salad. $18

The house while dated slightly, is a hidden gem in this area and worth your time staying here. The owners are exceptional in their efforts to ensure your stay is great and stress free. Communication was spot on and helpful always. The bedrooms are set up for all ages and the theater room was a hit with our teenagers. Hot water never ended, and the AC was great and welcome after being outside on the lake. The firepit was a nice finale after enjoying several days here with family. Highly recommend!!!"

Bring the whole family! This charming cottage-style home was built in 1909 and is ready for guests to create memories. Completely remodeled with the intention for guests to have family reunions here. Kid friendly. Please note that the basement ceilings in some areas is slightly less than 6’2” tall so guests over 6'0” will need to duck. Also, two bedrooms in the basement are connected. You need to go through one room to get to the other.

Not sure what they need cameras on the inside of the residence for." - "We rented this unit for a Family reunion. When we first arrived, one of the bedrooms was locked, but we quickly contacted the host and solved the problem. The stay was enjoyable and the house is well kept. It is an older home, and has some quirks that may seem odd at first, but everyone who came had a great time. The stairs are very steep, and you have to walk through the bedroom with the two single beds to get to the one with the two double beds, but that wasn't an issue with the group that we had. The property, while smaller, was well kept, plenty of parking, and a nice lawn area for outdoor activities. Everyone from the 70 year old grandparents to the 5 year old grandkids had a great time, and several commented how they would choose this location again. Overall, the only drawbacks were the room configuration and layout, but those were easily overcome. 5/5 would do again."

Although weathered and rustic on the outside the granary is very modern, warm and charming on the inside.
The Granary is located on a quiet residential street with a spectacular mountain view. We are 4 blocks east of main street in a quiet residential neighborhood .
This is an extremely laid back agricultural community with very little hustle and bustle.
The historic Manti Temple is about 8 blocks from the Granary.>
The space
According to a local historian “the Granary” has an interesting history. It was originally built in the very early days of Manti as the grain storage facility for the water-powered, overshot grist mill (flour mill) that was located on Manti Creek, just east of where the bank now stands. When the old mill was replaced by a larger mill with internal grain storage the granary was no longer needed. It was purchased and placed on large pine log skids and dragged to its present location by several teams of horses, well over 100 years ago. It was used for grain and coal storage as well as a place for storage of miscellaneous equipment such as harnesses, saddles and other items. The Granary is much larger than the standard size external stud granaries that were built around town and there are several still standing.
That first water powered mill has been reconstructed at This Is the Place State Park, just north of This Is the Place Monument in Salt Lake City.
When an unusual phenomenon occurred for this part of the country, a tornado, took a large portion of the roof off a few years ago, it was rebuilt with new sheeting and shingles. About the same time the old pine log skids underneath began to deteriorate and it developed a list to the east. We decided to save, preserve and modernize the old building. It was jacked up and a concrete footing plus the floor was installed beneath it. It was remodeled to its present condition, two bedrooms the bathroom and loft. Porches were added to the east and the south. Although a replica, the Jackson hay fork hanging on the south porch is a significant part of the history of the property.

Off street parking is provided. Driveway is 100, feet long, 2 to 3 cars wide and can accommodate vehicles with trailers.
Other things to note
Manti Canyon is just a few blocks from the granary, very popular ATV area. Access to Skyline Drive is a short distance up the canyon.

** The historic staircase is one of the most important aspects of the house, however, the stair tread is narrow, and the risers are about 9 inches. However, the master bedroom, one of the bathrooms, the dining room, living room, and kitchen are all located on the main floor.

We’ve stayed at Palisades several times (tent,cabin, etc..) but this was our favorite! They own three adult size kayaks and a peddle boat! We only had to walk 20 feet to get in the water! The RV is older so it had a few issues but Holly and Jake responded so quickly each time that I have no complaints! They even left us a guest gift of s’mores to roast over the propane fire pit! It was so hot out but being in the lake that’s how it’s best! Every day we spent some time inside just chilling with the A/C on and eating ice cream. There’s a fabulous pasta and pizza place in Ephraim we love called Roy’s and a market not far away in Manti! Book it! Great hosts and great location!"
