Our car didn’t move for 4 days as everything is to hand and the weather was amazing so we chose to stay local on this occasion. Steve was a fabulous host. Real Northern hospitality. He even carried our really heavy suitcase up to the flat. I think he could have benefited from the Prosecco which he left us as part of our welcome pack. We will definitely be back. There were 5 adults in our group. One of the bedrooms is smaller( as quoted in details) I think for 6 adults this might have been a squeeze. That said all 3 bedrooms had king size beds so a bonus. A beautiful and spacious apartment with an open view of the river mouth over gardens and out to sea. The apartment is on the ground floor, it is located on a peaceful residential street yet only five minutes walk into the vibrant village of Tynemouth with its boutiques, restaurants, award winning beaches and Metro station.

The romantic bedroom has french antique furniture and a wood burning stove, it has the luxury of its own dressing room and ensuite.

Next to the main bedroom is a tiny but cute small child's bedroom. It has a small single bed so only suitable for very young children. We can also provide a cot and high chair.

There is also a second double bedroom. This has a bed in an alcove so it is perfect for a single person but for a couple one person needs to sleep next to the wall.

There is a light and spacious living room with two leather sofas and a dining table in the bay window to make the most of the view. The apartment is south facing making it is very bright and sunny.

There is a bathroom, with a bath as well as the ensuite that has a walk in shower.

The modern kitchen is very well equipped and stylish. It has a dishwasher, washing machine and all that you would need for your holiday stay.

There is plenty of on street parking and there is a free parking permit. The apartment has a small south facing front garden.

Dominating the kitchen are the pine green cupboards, along with fine, white worktops. The kitchen houses modern appliances including an oven, electric hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a dishwasher. You’ll also have all the cutlery and dinnerware you will need for your self-catering retreat.

Sharing the kitchen space is the dining area, which includes a Scandi style dining table and matching benches.

You'll find the master bedroom located on the first floor. Here you'll find a comfortable double bed with plush bedding and premium bed linens to ensure you have the best sleep possible. A flat screen TV, storage shelves, and a large mirror complete the space.

Take the stairs up to the second floor and you'll find a bedroom which sleeps three guests. Ideal for children and teenagers, this room is home to a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and a single on the top.

There is a metro station located in Tynemouth with frequent routes to South Shields and Newcastle so you can explore the North East easily. A number of connecting rail routes can also be found from these stations so getting to other locations around the UK could not be easier.

Nearby North Shields, where you can walk along the seafront, has been home to the Tall Ships Races, and the working harbour and fish restaurants here are perfect for exploring some real Geordie hospitality. It is easy to travel through Northumberland from here in all directions. Head north to explore the Heritage Coast steeped with historic castles and more golden beaches, or take yourself west, to perhaps explore Hadrian’s Wall, also worth a visit whilst in the area. - "Great location however the house was not clean on arrival despite owner stating it had been cleaned. I needed to clean sour milk which was throughout the fridge. There was lots of mould and damp spots in the bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen. Water was leaking through the ceiling in the kitchen and damaged our food.Owner advised he was trying to patch up the kitchen roof.Unable to use shower as this also leaked into kicheb. Owner suggested i just dry up the leaks and they should "stop soon".Insufficient kitchen utensils to cook a meal.Such a shame as this house could be beautiful but has clearly not been well maintained for many years. The location was superb. "

- "When i arrived i could not get in. There was no information how to check in. It turned out to be a keybox beside the door, but i did not receive the code. I went over to the pub Turks Head and bought me a pint og lager and there i got in touch with the manager, i think Nigel was his name. Hei was very nice and said he knew the landlord and where he was about, so he took off to see him and came with the code for the key box. Thanks to him. When i finally got i was met with what looked like a dump in the hallway. The apartment was nice with good furniture. What i missed is that there where no basic things like a toilet paper, kitchen paper or soap of any sorts. I could not get the heating to work, and there was no way to get in touch with the landlord to fix things. There were leftovers in the fridge and freezer, and the freezer was also iced. There were no emergency exit. There was also mildew in the hallway as well in the flat. And the couple living upstairs was very noisy from time to time. All in all i had a good stay in Tynemouth and i will like to come back, maybe even to the same flat if the issues mentioned above is fixed. Regards, Bjarte."

- "We arrived “super early” - international travel and all - and “super tired”. Steve worked very quickly to transition from the previous guests to us. We enjoyed everything about this property! We did have to work on figuring out the shower and regulating the temperature...but this was on us, not the property! Steve offered to stop by and take a look! Very responsive to any question we had! Amazing two bedroom top floor apartment located near the beach in Tynemouth. The scenic Long Sands is within walking distance to enjoy and maybe have a go at paddle boarding or surfing! This apartment offers a fully equipped kitchen including a washer/dryer, free WIFI and on street parking very close by. Additionally, there is the local Sainsbury's is 14 minutes walking distance and it is 2 minutes drive.

- "This is a lovely property. It is in a good location close to the vibrant Main Street in Tynemouth and the beach. We had some problems with the website and finally were only able to pay when a very helpful agent helped us. I do think however that the property is somewhat 'tired' particularly the white paintwork. There is also a crack in the basin in the bathroom. it would be helpful to have information about the household - how to use the heating, bin arrangements etc. The carpet in the 'public area" is badly stained and not completely secure on a couple of steps. Despite these minor issues we did enjoy our stay and would return to this property if visiting Tynemouth again."

Stop at Cullercoats on route to Whitley Bay. Enjoy the scenic walk to North Shields Fish Quay (1 mile) for bars, cafes, seafood restaurants and working fishing boats. Take the ferry across the Tyne, and the Metro into Newcastle or drive (10 miles).

Getting Around:
There is a metro station located in Tynemouth with frequent routes to South Shields and Newcastle so you can explore the North East easily. A number of connecting rail routes can also be found from these stations so getting to other locations around the UK could not be easier.

You’ll also find a number of bus stops throughout the town. Hop on the Arriva 306 route which travels to Newcastle with stops in North Shields and Jesmond amongst others.
