Sometimes there were spaces to park on the same road as the apartment but only illegally parking on the pavement as the road is too narrow. Other times, there were no parking spaces at all in the vicinity of the apartment. Very unusually, a £100 security deposit was demanded before the code to the lock-box was provided and this was paid into an account in Dubai which sounded like a scam but the £100 was returned eventually. The electrics were a bit 'iffy' and using the toaster tripped the power as did using one of the other lights. The toaster was replaced when we complained. "

- "Easy to book. Communication with VRBO and owner was excellent. On arrival, Owner Louise greeted us. We were only 2 adults plus our dog but she had upgraded us at no extra cost to a property for 4. A newly baked ( still hot!) cake was waiting for us plus lots of beverages. The cottage was very well equipped. Eg lots of crockery, glasses and cutlery, not just a bare amount. The same goes for cooking equipment. Dishwasher tablets, washing machine tablets washing up liquid, bin bags etc all provided. and in quantity. This is not always the case at some properties. The cottage was spotlessly clean. Large fluffy towels which were even monogrammed with the name of the property as were the quilt covers. Lots of videos and games. Lots of information on local amenities and places of interest to visit. A perfect place for a break in the North East. Thank you."

- "I stopped in for two days. Hosts could not have been more welcoming. Rooms were clean and had all the necessities. Kitchen had a few cookies, tea and coffee. This was so thoughtful and I’m sure appreciated by anyone traveling all day. The map on the listing showed the address on Moore street but it’s actually Thames. That was my only issue and my fault for not confirming the location but I called and was guided to the correct place a few minutes away."

- "Very enjoyable stay at this property. The house is lovely! Great space in the garden for the kids to play. We set up a badminton net and they used in daily. Good woods at the back of the property to walk and explore too! Perfect if you're wanting to head into Newcastle city centre and many of the local beaches. Slight confusion on the beds when we arrived (6 adults and 3 children), as it there was one set of bedding short. However, Derek and Paula were quick on responding and sorted it very quickly. The house was very clean, spacious and good to sit together as a family in either the kitchen or the sitting/lounge area. We would only really suggest that there was a larger fridge for a family this size as we ate and drank mainly at home, so were tight for space in the fridge. Would highly recommend and would 100% stay here again. "
