Other times, there were no parking spaces at all in the vicinity of the apartment. Very unusually, a £100 security deposit was demanded before the code to the lock-box was provided and this was paid into an account in Dubai which sounded like a scam but the £100 was returned eventually. The electrics were a bit 'iffy' and using the toaster tripped the power as did using one of the other lights. The toaster was replaced when we complained. "

- "Loved that we were a short walk from the bus that took us to all the sites: Downtown Newcastle, The Baltic and Sage Gateshead, etc. Surprise discovery in nearby Saltwell Park with its bird-topped lake, cafe, ice cream truck, rose garden, loads of lawns and walkways. The "Tyneside Flat" was perfect for us two and would have housed a couple friends too! The kitchenette was perfect for our week stay and we enjoyed coffee and sunrise. Liked the little fireplace-style heater in the living space and the TV worked easily and clear. Dylan's communication was exceptional throughout. He was patient with us as we had to adjust our stay and was quick to respond when we had questions. Very kind and professional. Would certainly recommend this spot and hope to return ourselves."

The property is 5* and only a 15 min Uber ride to the quayside for £7 and it was great to be able to come back in the afternoon for a relaxing couple of hours before heading back into town for a bite to eat in the evening. We ate in the chinese one night which was only a 15 min walk away and found a real good menu and very friendly staff. We will definitely use this apt for future visits to Newcastle. Many thanks to Dylan for keeping us up to-date with all info for checking in etc that was a great help. PS the Back Alley was mentioned previously - yes it’s got a bit of rubbish but don’t let that put you off … keep the bathroom window closed and you won’t see it - didn’t bother us at all. One thing I would suggest Dylan a small outside table and chairs would of been nice at the back door would be good for future guests as we had gorgeous weather and would of sat out when we came back - no big deal though.
