He could have saved his breath - I never got a chance to watch it! I went down to the bar for for a well-earned drink. I'm from Wiltshire & was pleasantly gobsmacked by the price of its beer, especially the "own label" brew. Try it; it redefins value for money. Turns out Thursday is Open Mic & Karaoke night. The Open Mike session was interesting, with several veterans displaying their skills on guitar. The singing was ok, too. I was thinking about popping out for a meal when the karaoke started. Seems like most of those present were regulars. The singing was sometimes v good, often hilarious & all warmly applauded. It became a really fab evening. I've never been to Darlington before but I was made to feel very welcome. The meal went by the board, I was enjoying myself so much. Would I go again? In a heartbeat. - "Lovely accommodation for our 5 families to get together... 10 adults, 4 children and 3 dogs. Location is perfect, right in the centre of Darlington with parks close by for the children. A little bit dated but absolutely perfect for what we wanted. Great big bay windows for people watching onto the street was also a massive bonus (although the windows only opened from the bottom up so dangerous for the little ones and dogs, just to bare in mind, but not a negative in anyway!) Property manager was contactable the week before and gave clear instructions on how to access the property. Nice sized bedrooms and living/dining area. Parking close by, just a short, round the corned walk to access the property. We had 5 cars to park as we were all from different locations so travelled separately, it was frowned upon by someone who also used the parking area to access their shop, but we all got parked there and the cars were left for the full weekend with no issues. People in the yard were very friendly and we even got invited to a Bikers party that they were having one evening. Kitchen was well stocked with glasses, mugs, plates etc. Tea, coffee and sugar was provided although we did bring our own. Cleaning products and tea towels also provided, along with shower gel and hand soap in the toilets. Highchair, ironing board and iron also at the property and washing machine if needed. Overall it was a fantastic place to get together with family! Recommend!"

The building has 2 access points all of which are key code entry along with your apartment and the codes will be provided via email once you have booked your stay.

Access 1: High street access off of the A167 (Northgate Road) to the left side of the building via the entrance under the Welcome archway, access to ALL apartments.
Access 2: Rear access off of John Dobbin Road where there is street parking and a secure car park (Garden Street Car Park), access to ALL apartments.

Secure bike storage is available on the lower ground floor and a full site plan is available upon your booking to ensure you are clear on where to go for your accommodation.
