Guest access
Guests have access to the guest house, including two bedrooms and two baths as well as the driveway for parking.
Guests have access to the deck including hot tub and immediate backyard that extends from the deck out.
The pool in our backyard is not for our guests to use.
The propane fire pit in the backyard is also for our guests to use, but please don't burn any wood there. Please close the propane tank valve after use.
The deck sauna and hot tub is partially enclosed and allows for privacy.
Only the guests renting the guest house have access to the hot tub/ sauna and no one else is allowed, including the host.
The patio furniture in the courtyard of the main house are not to be used by the guests.
Fell free to walk around in our 1 acre backyard and get in touch with countless species of wild birds, from Blue Jays to Owls.

Other things to note
We have an Amazon prime account for our guests where they can stream movies and TV shows for free. Everything on Amazon Prime is free and everything that is not part of Prime has to be purchased.
The guest house dose not have a fully functioning kitchen but we do have a fridge, a microwave, a toaster oven, a Keurig coffee maker, hot and cold water dispenser and a Gas-BBQ grill on the deck.

Sauna instructions !
The Sauna fits at least 4 people comfortably, even laying down.
The Sauna is turned on with a timer on the control panel and takes about 45-55 min. to warm up. The thermostat ( upper knob ) is turned to high.
The switch for the light is on the control panel.
Take a shower before using the sauna.
Do not sit or lay on the wood, use towels to sit on at all times !!!
If you're pregnant or in poor health check with your doctor before using the sauna.
Do not smoke, use alcohol , or exercise in the sauna. The use of alcohol , drugs and medication is capable of greatly increasing the risk of fatal hypothermia.
Do not use Pool or spa water on the hot rocks as this can create chemical fumes, only use small amounts of clean water.
Do not put anything on the sauna oven.
Do not exceed 30 min. in the sauna at one time, as excessive exposure can be harmful to health. The sauna should not be used as an endurance test.
Leave the sauna if you feeling dizzy, drowsy or lethargic .
Take a cool shower after the sauna and rest.
The sauna is well recommended for those suffering from tension, adolescent skin problems, tiredness or those having trouble sleeping. Arthritis and rheumatism sufferers as well as those with sore muscles and joints from physical over exertion , will find the sauna heat very relaxing.

NEED TO KNOW INFO: This is NOT an investment property; we work out of town about 7 months out of the year so our home is set up as our personally owned home with our family’s personal belongings in one closet, some cabinets, and the garage (off limits) but is organized and maintained by a professional cleaning crew. This is a very quite cul-de-sac. The neighbors keep a very watchful eye out for me; for my safety and the safety of my guests, the exterior (only the exterior) of the home is monitored by 24-7 live video surveillance. I must emphasize, anyone who has intentions of breaking the few rules (especially house parties), should not stay here. I look forward to hosting folks who will take care of my home as their own. I definitely want you to enjoy your stay so I have very few rules (See ‘Rules & Policies’ section)

RULES: Absolutely no pets allowed; sorry I can’t make exceptions because members of my family are highly allergic to dander. No smoking inside. No house parties.

THEATRE ROOM RULES:
No eating,
No open beverage containers (please use the tumblers provided),
No sleeping on couches,
No adults sitting on the ottoman (it colapses with too much weight),
No shoes on the blue theatre room carpet (shoes allowed everywhere else)
None of the above rules apply to anywhere but the theatre room. When you submit your request for booking, please include the phrase “Acknowledge the rules” so that I have confirmation that everything has been read and I don’t need to send these again.

All the TV’s have Fire Stick with Amazon prime, Netflix, and live TV via the DirecTv streaming app. The bunk bed room has already got a hdmi hanging down to connect to a gaming system. The wireless router is plugged-in in this room underneath the bunk bed. Some children have often mistakenly unplugged it not knowing what it is. The outdoor amenities are not maintained by the cleaning crew; therefore guests are responsible for getting their own consumables (i.e. fire pit wood, tiki torch fuel, propane fuel, charcoal, lighter fluid). There’s a new propane grill in the backyard and a charcoal one too. You can use the propane tanks but guests must go get their own propane refills. Guests are not required to clean the grills after use so please anticipate needing to clean before preparing food. When cleaning, please do not dump ash into the grass; please throw the ash in the trash can. I recommend using a trash bag and the bucket next to the grill. Grilling utensils are in the drawer underneath the coffee maker. The back patio furniture is covered but feel free to use, I just ask you cover them back up when not in use or if rain is in the forecast; same with the cornhole boards. Wine glasses, beer mugs, shot glasses are in the top cabinet next to the fridge in the laundry room.

This studio has its own private entrance and private yard that is off-limits unless you rent that unit in addition to the primary house.

This is a private home in a residential neighborhood near downtown Schertz, TX. No parties are allowed on the property and there is a city noise ordinance between the hours of 10:00pm and 7:00am that must be complied with. - "The house is wonderful! Big open plan with lots of space. The house was clean and perfect. If I come back to the San Antonio are, this is the place I would love to stay at." - "The house is nice. It has several bedrooms and a nice living area. The amenities are lacking. It is advertised as having a gourmet kitchen, but the plates and utensils are scarce. There were no cups or glasses in case you wanted a glass of water or a cup of juice. You would have to use a coffee cup for that or a wine glass. We had to go to the store and buy our own red solo cups. There were also no hand towels in the kitchen. We went and bought that too. There were very few towels and clothes in the whole house, which was surprising since it is advertised to sleep 14 people. If there were that many people, then they would be sharing towels. There is no game room or gym or office as was stated on the website. There are two washing machines, and neither worked. They sent someone to fix it, and after the third time, and about two weeks later, it was fixed. In the meantime, we had to go out to do our laundry. In short, it's a nice place to lay your head, but don't expect many amenities if you stay here. "
