We visited San Marcos and Wimberley during our stay, and both were very short distances to drive. - "Very comfortable, loved the donkeys in the yard." - "We really enjoyed our stay - the place was very nice and everything we needed for our short weekend get-a-way to attend a friend's wedding. If not mentioned in the listing, it needs to be said that the driveway is VERY tight and you will be backing up onto a 2-lane winding road where cars are going 45mph, and there is no way to turn your car around - we were in a Ford F-150, short bed. Trees overhead at the street and on the driver's side need to be trimmed as they were scraping our truck when driving in and opening the doors. If the fences at the street were angled back like the main house, this might be helpful to provide a bit more visibility to the oncoming traffic and maybe a little space where you could back up onto the shoulder instead of right onto the street. Better signage is also needed from the main house gate to the guest house gate. The code we were given actually worked on the main house's gate (homeowner) which we mistakenly entered and then had to wait for the gate to open so we could back out as there was no way to turn around. The house and location were great! We would definitely stay here again if we are back in the Dripping area."

The AC controls are not located in the apartment. It's controlled by the owner. The place is consistently between 70-72 degrees, but will be happy adjust the temperature for you.

Our modern, tidy log cabin is set on 10 pristine wooded acres in Driftwood. You'll feel like you've escaped to a wooded paradise after the long, curvy driveway takes you to the cabin and our friendly alpacas. Only 35 minutes to downtown Austin and 15 minutes to Wimberley, wonderful restaurants, shops and outdoor activities are close if you need them. The cabin has all the modern conveniences, and is fitted with luxury Frette linens and towels and down comforters and pillows. Our cabin is nestled deep in the woods and you won't see another house or person unless you really want to! The property is 10 fenced acres (5 acres for your enjoyment) and is great for hiking and exploring. There are fox, deer and a plethora of native birds . Our alpacas are free range but will be fenced during your stay. Feel free to feed them alfalfa and pet them. The home has satellite TV and internet (Starlink), brand new air / heat, gas range, washer / dryer and dishwasher. It is fully outfitted for cooking meals with friends and relaxing on the large porch. We also have a fire pit, folding chairs and an outdoor grill on the back patio. The beds (2 double beds in one room and 1 queen in the other) are new with luxury linens. There is a half bath downstairs and a full bath upstairs. We have a private residence on the very back of the property that is infrequently used. The residence is not visible from the cabin.
