Check Out Instructions
*Very Important - Please place all TOWELS in the washing machine and start the load of towels.
*Do NOT wash linens. We take linens offsite for washing.
*Please start the dishwasher when checking out so the cleaning crew may turn the house for the next guest since we try to accommodate early check in if at all possible.
*Turn the thermostat to 74 for the summer, 68 for the winter when starting to leave. It might be a few hours or few days before the next guest arrives. No need in wasting energy on an empty house :).
*If you found something wrong with the house that is a maintenance item, please let us know via the Airbnb messages. The cleaning crew is only in the property for a few hours and as obvious as some things may be, it may not be noticed by the cleaning crew.
*Please ensure the TV remotes are on the coffee table in LR or on dresser in bedrooms to ensure they can easily be found to avoid potential lost remote fee
*Dispose of any left over items from the fridge. You may leave items such as condiments, and other common items.
*Any free standing trash in the home must be picked up and placed in trash cans or taken outside. Cleaning fee does not include excessive dirty house. Additional fees may apply if not followed.

Smart Lock Battery Replacement
Guest agrees that in the event that a battery in the lock has to be replaced on the front door smart lock, the guest will replace the 4 AA batteries in the lock. The host will reimburse for the cost of the batteries plus $5

Fireplaces
Safety reason the fireplaces are not to be used for burning. Unfornatutely, we can not allow fireplaces to be used since wood can stay hot for several days. The cleaning crews would not be able to clean the home if not know when the last fire was used. This prevent cleaning and more importantly, the cleaning crews have no way of disposing of the embers in a safe way.

GARAGES
Many of our houses come with enclosed garages. We do not guarantee the use of the garages but they are allowed to be used if they are available. We may use the garage for storage that occupies a portion or all of the garage. If the garage is unavailable use, we can not move items unless agreed to prior to the move in.
If the garage has an overhead garage opener, you may program the opener to your car. We do Not support installing or provide tech support for garage openers. We may also have installed MyQ as a way to provide wireless opener connectivity but once again, we do not provide support on how to install on your phone.

Suite #3 is on the left side of the building. This is also the corner suite. The private entrance to the suite is a front hall way with a working table and chairs. From this hallway you enter into the spacious living room that has a large desk 14 feet across. There also is a futon and a footstool. The futon can serve as a full size bed. The living room has a bay window giving plenty light and a wonderful spot to watch the sunrise. From the hallway you can enter the bedroom which has a 14 feet high ceiling. There is a king size bed, a make-up desk, two side tables and a rack to hang clothes. There also is a book case loaded with National Geography magazines, some going back to 1950. Facing the bed there is a door on the left that leads to the kitchen. This kitchen is fully operational and equipped. In the kitchen is a back door to the side yard. Also, the kitchen can be accessed through the living room. When standing facing the bed there is a hallway on the right giving access to the bathroom. This bathroom also has a claw foot tub with a hand shower. Also has a wash basin. In part the floors are hard pine from the early 1800's and oak from the early 1900's.

Suite #3 is on the left side of the building. This is also the corner suite. The private entrance to the suite is a front hall way with a working table and chairs. From this hallway you enter into the spacious living room that has a large desk 14 feet across. There also is a futon and a footstool. The futon can serve as a full size bed. The living room has a bay window giving plenty light and a wonderful spot to watch the sunrise. From the hallway you can enter the bedroom which has a 14 feet high ceiling. There is a king size bed, a make-up desk, two side tables and a rack to hang clothes. There also is a book case loaded with National Geography magazines, some going back to 1950. Facing the bed there is a door on the left that leads to the kitchen. This kitchen is fully operational and equipped. In the kitchen is a back door to the side yard. Also, the kitchen can be accessed through the living room. When standing facing the bed there is a hallway on the right giving access to the bathroom. This bathroom also has a claw foot tub with a hand shower. Also has a wash basin. In part the floors are hard pine from the early 1800's and oak from the early 1900's.

Backyard Bungalow is located in downtown Carrollton, GA we are conveniently located to the square, the Amp, Tanner Medical Center, Southwire, University of West Georgia, the Carroll County courthouse as well as many other businesses and attractions. We live onsite, this is our guesthouse. The bedrooms are upstairs *must be able to climb one flight of stairs*. We do not allow pets or smoking. Welcome to "A-Frame of Mind," your country oasis! You will love this RIVERFRONT A-Frame which is quaintly located at the back of a rolling pasture giving the driveway a unique landscape!
The space
After driving by the barn you will arrive at the first gate. You will need to exit your vehicle to open the gate and continue over the cattle guard. After closing the gate, continue down the driveway past the cows in the pasture and you will come upon the distinct A-Frame style house tucked back in the tree line. Open/close the second gate and continue onto the driveway for parking. "A-Frame of Mind" has plenty of outdoor entertaining space including a fire pit, hot tub gazebo, and spacious screened in back patio.
Guest access
During your stay you will have access to the entire 2 bed/2 bath with loft A-Frame house including all grounds within the fence, the panoramic playroom, hot tub gazebo, screened in patio, and over 100ft of river bank.

Forgot something? Don’t worry, you’re a short 5 minute drive to historic downtown Bowdon where you can find local shop’s and grocery, and good eats such as Smokin’ Pig BBQ and El Mezcal Mexican Restaurant. The University of West Georgia campus and Carrollton City is a mere 20 minutes away east and Lake Wedowee is 20 minutes away west giving you plenty of options to explore!

We also loved seeing the river and using the huge screened in porch. Very close to the little town of Bowden. Went in Saturday to the antique shop and found a really fun pottery painting place that is a great place to stop by. Enjoyed the pool table and being able to cook all our meals in the house. Suite #1 is on the right side of the building. The private entrance to the suite is a front room, sun-room, which is a small hall way with two chairs that serve as a sitting area. The room is airy and light. From there you walk into the living room that has comfortable furniture, plants, and a baby-grand piano. From there you walk into the bedroom by way of a little hallway which has a refrigerator and a micro-wave. The bedroom has a desk from which to work, a large bed that came from Denmark and was hand made in 1928. The bed is comfortable and soft. There is a tall window that gives the opportunity to watch a grand sunset. Off the left side of the bedroom is a bathroom with a claw tub and a hand shower. There is also a wash basin. The ceilings in the bedroom and living room are 14 feet high and the floors are the original hard pine floors from the early 1800 s.

Open concept floor plan with a fully equipped gourmet kitchen including granite tops and plenty of space. The Spring fed lake is clean and inviting, only 3 other neighbors have access to it but we actually own the dam so we own the lake. 50 feet deep ( it does taper so it is safe for kids) and is stocked with 4 types of fish. 7 bedrooms with 2 of them serving as dual purpose Game/Office. New 4 Zone A/C and heat system. Stocked kitchen, indoor outdoor games. Just purchased late Sept, will constantly update and add to it, stay tuned

We needed a large home and the Log Castle was great for our needs. The VRBO system had some glitches but Host Carlos was very responsive to our questions.
