I think the hotel could definitely use an update, especially at the nightly rate. Overall, the experience was good for the time there. "

I contacted VRBO, that was a lie. The owner placed us in the lesser property he had available but charged us the same price as the higher quality property we had paid for a month in advance. Apparently he rented out the property we had originally paid for to a large group throwing a party. 20 plus cars lined the driveway, all the way down to our lot. Cars and traffic right next to our building ALL night. My assumption, which is probably correct, is that he got paid a substantial amount of money to rent that property out from under us to accommodate this party…and instead of giving us notice to where we had the option of renting from someone/somewhere else, he chose to lie and cheat us out of what was supposed to be a relaxing anniversary weekend along with our money. Disgusting and Horrible way to treat people Just to make a buck. "

- "Great space to get away and work." - "good place" - "I chose this house because of (1) it accepts payment via affirm, (2) it boards up to 16 people, and (3) for the hot tub. The hot tub is cleaned and set to 90, so when you're ready to indulge, the water is already warm enough to get in. It was relatively easy to use, as was the dry sauna. There were PLENTY of towels, and lots of extra cozy blankets. But no extra sheets and pillow cases. We didn't need them. The house was very clean, and I have high standards. It was also bug free, only a couple of gnats, to be expected in 50-70 temps. This was a big plus, not to encounter any bugs in such a large house in a wooded area. The entryway is perfect for taking pictures, the mirrors give a wonderful effect. The size of the dining room table, and beautiful wall-lengtg window dining room setting was just what I'd hoped for for a family dinner celebrating my mom's 70th birthday. I only have four complaints/suggestions: 1) The most outstanding - the top front door stair leans forward, isn't evened out properly, and is a grave danger. If your foot isn't firmly planted walking out of the house, the first couple steps out the door, could easily cause you to fall down these concrete stairs. Additionally, walking up the stairs (with luggage, groceries, food)- if your foot isn't planted firmly ahead on the evenly leveled portion of the platform, you could easily fall backwards. We had children and elders with knee replacement surgery within the year. Such a hazard, if you're not going to fix it, at least have a warning sign to watch the top step. 2) There was one box of tissue (for nose blowing, in December) in the entire 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom house. That's ridiculous - each bedroom at the least, and bathroom too ideally, should have a box of Kleenex. 3) The fridge has an ice maker and lots of ice trays! Awesome!!! But no filtered water spicket. You need to bring your own water. 4) There was no instructional booklet, which is a nuisance. With 15 guests, many of whom were kids and teens, I had to go into VRBO for the wifi each time a person asked. It'd be best if there was instructional booklet so the renter isn't the only person with instructions to everything. This was a big nuisance when I was in the shower with kids and teens bugging me for the wifi info. All in all, I'd rent this place again. It's peaceful, surrounded by nature, we encountered a flock of wild turkeys on our last day! Beautiful!"

- "We never stayed. The contact person never gave us a key. She first claimed she didn't hv a vrbo then claimed she never received the money. In contacting vrbo they said they could not find us a new place until the next day. We had two infants and had bought groceries. We had to then rent a hotel room. I am totally disgusted. How could you let this happen. I feel we should be compensated for the money 180.00 we spent on groceries. This woman should be reported. This is fraud!"
