This 100 year old landmark home has been carefully restored and renovated and is perfect for families or business professionals looking for a clean and spacious respite with convenient access to Boston. Reading is a quaint New England town conveniently located a short drive to Boston (13 miles), as well as to the beautiful northshore of Massachusetts. - "I will say look carefully at the pictures, they are accurate to a fault. This is a really nice, relatively newly renovated apartment with phenomenal high end kitchen and laundry appliances, excellent single bathroom, great off street parking for two cars, and the bare essentials for cooking as one would expect. Newish flat screens in both bedrooms and the living room, but no cable, which is fine; every streaming option is available. Now, as to my comment about the pictures, please note that the bedrooms and living room are, to put it mildly, austere. In the bedrooms, there is a bed. Period, unless you count the one square foot side tables. The closets are great, but a drawer or two and a place to put luggage would be nice, but they aren't shown, so no foul. Also, the house is a conversion from some years ago, so don't expect outlets where you'd like them. Communication was easy and timely, the games a whimsical touch. Look for a spare garbage bag in the kitchen under the existing one."

The house is located on the commuter rail train line which can be a little noisy and even rattle the house a bit, but our infant and toddler sleep right through it. Just in case, we provide a white noise machine for any sensitive sleepers! In only a 5 minute walk down the street and a 20 minute train ride into the city, you can be enjoying the sights and sounds of Boston. The living room has an electric fireplace and the heating throughout the unit kept us warm. There’s no TV but we watched shows on our laptop and wifi worked well. The kitchen has all major appliances and we were left with cupboard space to place our own food and cooking items. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped to cook or bake, which we used a lot. The bedroom is large and light filled with storage for clothing in drawers or hanging and luggage racks. The linens are good though we found the bed a bit soft and the double size adequate. The bathroom is updated and comfortable. The washer and dryer are new, large and did a great job of cleaning. There is a lovely porch on the south side with a beautiful grill, dining table and seating area. The back yard also has room to sit outside and enjoy the weather. There was ample space for us to park. There is a lake across the street, 3.3 miles around, which I ran around daily. Two grocery stores are 1/2 mile away. The train to Boston is a 10 minute walk and we found this convenient to get into the city, rather than drive and park. The train passes behind the house and the car traffic in the front are noisy but there are sound mufflers in the house to address those. I found the home easy to keep clean for the six weeks and there are cleaning supplies and equipment. Betsy was very responsive to our inquiries and addressed any issues quickly. We were comfortable in her home and would recommend it to others."

- "Enjoyed our stay; close to Stop & Shop, Target and freeway." - "Overall the property is very nice. It's was in a great location for what we wanted to accomplish during our stay. It was clean, big and offered enough space. We felt like it was missing some essential things when you are staying there for a week. For instance, the bedrooms do not have dressers to put your personal items. Living out of a suit case for a week proved to be difficult. It would have been nice to have some sort of table or something. There were no wash cloths, they only provide hand towels and bath towels. The bathroom is very small, and when sharing with other guests it would have been nice to be able to get ready in your room. There is only a very small mirror in the bedroom. No hooks to put towels or hang things. Also no towels in the kitchen. While it was nice, it was missing some small, yet essential items that make living there for a week necessary. There were extra pillows, but no pillow cases for them. The couch is very small for the amount of people the property can hold."
