We are pleased to announce the completion of a total renovation of our Vermont lake house. It took longer than expected, but the home now features new siding and roofing, a rearranged floor plan with all new cabinets and center island as well as a breakfast bar in the relocated kitchen. We’ve removed walls between kitchen, dining room and living room which really opened up the first floor. There are also all new appliances, a farmhouse sink and quartz countertops. A small separate coffee bar finishes the kitchen. This is a 5 Bedroom 3 bath Home Located on Chipman Lake (AKA Tinmouth Pond) in Tinmouth Vermont. The home features spectacular lake front and mountain views from almost every room, on every floor, and even has a 4th floor tower room for a bird's eye view of the lake. In addition, this is one of the only waterfront rentals in the area that meets all of the new Vermont Short Term Rental fire safety, life safety, and health standards enacted for 2019. The home has a master suite and sleeps an additional 8 guests in the remaining four bedrooms. Guests can enjoy the well manicured landscape down to the lake, a rustic outdoor fireplace, a new 32 foot dock (summer), and a finished game room in the walkout basement, also with lake views.

Everyone, ages 1 to 75, enjoyed the home, the yard, the beautiful lake, making s’mores at the outdoor fireplace, and catching tadpoles in the pond that is also on the property. We kayaked, fished, went swimming snd enjoyed games In the large back yard. We also appreciated the child safe railing on the deck. - "We stayed here during a very, very snowy Vermont weekend and had a wonderful time! The hosts were incredibly thoughtful - personal check in and welcome basket, helped us clear off our car, brought us lanterns in case we lost power, etc. The home has toys and games that our toddler loved and a place to play outside. Plenty of cookware and a nice kitchen. Would recommend to a couple, friends or family looking for a rural getaway!!!" - "Nice little cabin/guest house. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, extremely gracious and hospitable. They are just next door and I felt if we had any issues they would be there to help— but we had none! If you are looking for scenic drives and stunning views of the Green Mountains, this area of Vermont is right for you and not as far up as Stowe. If you are looking for absolute privacy and isolation I would caution that the cabin and guest house directly face each other, and you may see other guests. However this did not bother us and we knew beforehand. The guest house does have stairs leading up so I would be careful if you have small pets or kids, but there’s a convenient gate that keeps little dogs from going down the stairs! Nice walk around the property with a meadow and stream and flowers. I loved the yard & flowers planted, it is maintained with pristine care. Everything was clean and comfortable. The location is on a main road but it is very convenient with a gas station/general shop within walking distance. You can walk right over and get a cheap bottle of wine or some ice/basic refreshments. Check out the swimming hole off Brooklyn road— get there early because people do start to crowd in especially on weekends. Just a few miles up the road from the swimming hole are some very good hiking trails ranging from easy to moderate/difficult. The proximity of the trails and swimming holes to this property was so convenient. Grocery store/town about a 20 min drive."

The indoor pool room is amazing, and we had the unique experience of swimming all afternoon while watching the snow fall outside! The house is beautiful, with large yet cozy rooms and had everything that we needed. We cooked several meals in the kitchen, and there were even plastic wine glasses to take to the pool 😊 The Wi-Fi was way to connect to and strong enough for all the devices. The dining room was a favorite space, with an entire wall of glass up to a vaulted ceiling. We played board games and watched the wildlife when we weren’t swimming in the pool or watching movies in the family room. There is a nice woods and mountain view out back. Manchester was a short drive for shopping and restaurants. We contacted the host a few times with questions and he was quick to respond with helpful answers. We would absolutely stay here again."

It is conveniently located just off highway 7 in Wallingford, so it's easy to get to other places in the area." - "Cozy, comfortable home away from home. Wish we could have stayed longer, would definitely stay there again." - "We had the best stay, the place was clean and provided amenities. We would definitely recommend!" - "The apartment is beautiful and excellently maintained. All possible amenities were included, I especially loved the seltzer water maker! Everything you need to cook or reheat the leftovers from going out are available. The host has put a lot of effort in making the place so nice that you even question yourself about having to go out! It feels like you're home away from home. The location is very convenient to ski at Okemo like we did. Also, great dining options in Rutland are very quick to get to. Wallingford was very quiet which made it a perfect destination to rest during our vacation. Bottom line, if you want a place where you feel at home and be close to new adventures, then look no further than this apartment!"

- "This was our second time staying here and we were just as pleased as last time. Ample space for our group of 12 to spread out and to congregate when needed. Half of the group spent time skiing at Okemo, but the other half was happily occupied on the grounds and in nearby Manchester. We may be back for a third time next year!" - "We stayed at the Littlebranch House with 3 families and skied at Bromley over NYE. The house and location were great, easy to get to the mountain and Manchester. We stayed in and cooked several nights, the house had all necessary cooking utensils. The downstairs room with the air hockey table and TV kept the kids occupied while the adults could enjoy sometime upstairs. Definitely would recommend! Charles was a pleasure to communicate with and very helpful."

- "We had a wonderful stay on Danby Pond. Clean house, comfy beds and a well-stocked kitchen. The added bonus of disc golf and volleyball really had the kids in our group very happy. John could not have been more cordial, and he was so very nice to check in several times to make sure we were happy. So peaceful and loved just sitting on the deck watching the sun go down behind the mountain and glimmering off the pond. Pure paradise!" - "Everyone love the house and amenities. Ease up in our newly refurbished and adorable 200 year old house close to hiking trails and the ski slopes in Vermont! We preserved its eclectic character & old world charm with added conveniences and a little bit of rustic chic to make it comfortable.
Close to a lovely lake (summer swims), blueberry picking farms, cows, a tennis court as well as plenty of hiking trails all around. The winter ski slopes are 20-30 min drive and have plenty of summer activities for families.
Take a pause, there's no rush and you are in Vermont :)
The house has four bedrooms (good for 9 guests) and two bathrooms, new furniture and mattresses, and restored wooden floors. A large living room, dining room, large kitchen and a library. High speed internet (perfect for remote working), dishwasher, washer and dryer.
There’s a lovely backyard with a picnic table. Driveway is in the side.
- "It was a town we all grew up in and really enjoyed making new memories there’s. House was lovely. Need to replace refrigerator 😊" - "My family and I had a great time staying at this house. We knew it was located in a quiet town as I researched the area. The home was exactly what we needed, as it was our first time traveling for the holiday season. We took some quick trips to cute "Hallmark" towns and a short trip up to Elfin Lake. The kitchen was fully equipped to cook all meals and then sit in front of the wood-burning fireplace. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't good for skiing, but we were still able to make the best of our stay. We would love to come back another time. I might suggest a larger tv in the living room and some more comfortable couches in that area, but not a game changer. Thanks for the stay and for always communicating quickly!"

- "My family stayed here for a ski trip to Okemo Mountain. It was a great location (10-15 min drive) and a wonderful Vermont cabin experience. The owners live close by and welcomed us on the first day of our arrival. Clean, cute, and cozy!" - "The cabin was perfect for our needs - warm and cozy, with easy access to Okemo, but secluded enough that you really felt like you were away from it all. On a beautiful large property with woods and cross-country skiing/snowshoeing trails out back.... and of course a wonderful Vermont night sky. House was neat, clean and had everything you'd need for a weekend stay. We could not be more pleased with the cabin and would definitely consider coming back."

This Vermont farmhouse was built on the edge of the Green Mountain Forest in 1986 by its original owner, and has the spaciousness of a contemporary home while having the charm of an historic one. The house has three bedrooms, with a master on the first floor, and two bedrooms upstairs (one king room and one room with double beds), sleeping eight people total. The substantial kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and entertaining, complete with a dishwasher, microwave, and a range of tools. A beautiful formal living room has plenty of room for relaxing, playing games, and enjoying the fireplace. In the basement, there is a large family area for relaxing and enjoying movies. Throughout the house, visitors will find personal touches through vintage artwork, antiques, and a thoughtfully curated design.
On the property is also a three-season screened cabin perched over Roaring Brook, which acts as the rear boundary to the farmhouse. The brook can be heard throughout the house on summer days, and is a perfect place to sit on the deck overlooking the water, or napping inside. We do our best to leave the cabin available throughout the year, though access may not be possible in winter because of snow.

- "We had such a lovely time staying at this home for a late winter ski trip. The hosts, Tim and Caitlin, where super communicative and made booking, check-in, and check-out a seamless process. It made our first trip to Okemo and first Vrbo rental one to remember. The home is as pictured; beautifully decorated, adjacent to a roaring brook, and a stone’s throw from Wallingford Main St. which has some cute cafes and restaurants. We even lucked out with some snowfall the second day so everything was magically covered in white. Highly recommend to anyone considering."

- "Wow! Can't explain how magical it was. Every room felt like a work of art and myself and my guests immediately fell in love with the house. We had so much fun exploring and taking in all the art and thoughtful details. It's even better than the pictures! And the views and grounds are spectacular. The beds were very comfortable and it was such a nice touch that each room had blackout curtains and sound machines. There was even a bonus room downstairs with a daybed that I enjoyed napping in! Waking up in the morning felt like being in a film or magazine - so many beautiful details to appreciate. We spent a lot of time on the front porch, lingering around the huge dining room table, and in the sumptuous library. It turns out the owner and designer Stacy is a well known local artist who runs the really fun and unique Sparkle Barn store / experience across the street. We went shopping there and hung out in her "Bloom Room" flower installation. She gave us a tour and answered our house questions. She also recommended some local swimming holes, hikes and fab farm to table restaurants. I hope to come back in the Winter and stay there with my family for a ski trip! "

Settle in and enjoy our 1800 colonial farmhouse on Mountain View Road in our charming town of Tinmouth, Vermont, at the foot of the Taconic Mountains. 3100 square feet of country living, located just 30 minutes from Killington, Bromley, and Okemo Ski Mountains. 5 minutes from the Tinmouth Mountain Ridge Trail, and some of the best views we've ever seen.
- "The pictures do no justice to the homely beauty of the Tinmouth house. Every room is a treasure and it’s amenities are lovely. My friends and I are already planning a return visit." - "We were lucky to have a beautiful holiday weekend exploring the mountain towns of Vermont. I found the location “central” to many of the small towns we wanted to visit but easily accessible to larger towns and Rutland city if needed. The home is beautifully decorated, clearly with intentional, slowly collected items that have practical use and beauty. The historic home has several vintage and antique features that are in great working condition, reminding us to remain sustainable within our own home. I love that despite the age of items- from lamps to stoves to sinks and kitchenware and furniture, (even a Nintendo and VHS!) everything was in working order and the host didn’t skip out providing modern necessities that are important to us when traveling- soft, cotton towels; crisp sheets and comfortable beds and pillows. We’d definitely stay again! "

- "House is beautiful. Rolling hills beautiful views from every angle. Very good communication. Just needed to be dusted and vacuumed a little better otherwise it was a perfect stay. We do this every year and have stayed in many places this tops all and we will be back if available. " - "Stayed for a long ski weekend (just a few minutes from Okemo!) with our extended family (ages ranging from 2 to 60), and it was just perfect! The property was beautiful, and home was well kept-with plenty of space for both privacy (spacious bedrooms/bathrooms) and to spend time together as a group (large kitchen, dining room and living room- plus a ping pong table in the basement!). Would certainly recommend! "

- "Loved fenced in back yard, kitchen is well equipped, highly recommend" - "The proximity to every thing you want to do is nice. The house is quiet and the view out back is great!" - "The house was kindly stacked with plenty of towels and toiletries for the week that we were there. The swing in the backyard was a hit with our two girls and the location was great for the things we wanted to do. The house itself however, was dirty. There was still pet hair from the animal before us (our dog doesn't shed and is black, this was white hair and it was everywhere), the dishes were not all clean. The entire upstairs is in need of remodelling. Curtains would have been helpful for sleeping. The lock to enter/exit the house was not easy to use. The agency that manages the property was not at all communicative. I complained because the upstairs bathroom sink was leaking. No one came to fix it. A sink in the downstairs bathroom was also clogged. We would not stay here again."

Your cozy, luxurious getaway awaits in Danby at this fabulous, family-owned estate. With 4 bedrooms including 1 king bed and 3 queen beds, guests have plenty of space to relax. The 4 bathrooms are equipped with luxurious amenities-- the master has a large jetted bathtub, a bidet and shower. The dining room is currently configured as a playroom with a TV, sofa and plenty of toys and games for kids of all ages. The house has a fitness area equipped with a Peloton bike, weights, and yoga equipment, and there's even a pickleball court on the property for some outdoor exercise....but you might just find yourself spending the days walking endlessly through the woods and on the beautiful back roads of Danby. The views on the property are extraordinary and the colors during foliage are gorgeous. The Maple, Apple and Birch trees native to Vermont abound and the land has been peppered with a variety of other tree and plant types as well, making it feel like a true arboretum. You can sit on the stone porch at the back of the house overlooking the mountains, large lawn, pond and pool for hours. Build a fire in the fire pit to keep warm in the chillier months. There is such a sense of expanse here, but it's also intimate; you feel cradled by the Green Mountains. You can enjoy the views from the comfort of the bedrooms, or while having breakfast (prepared on the owners' beloved AGA stove) in front of the bay windows in the kitchen. In the winter months, curl up by the fireplace in the living room or study with a great book from Manchester's own Northshire Bookstore (check out Northshire's www.bookcurator.com program, if you want a curated selection of books delivered to you here before your arrival). The property is 20 minutes from the wonderful town of Manchester (Orvis, Ben & Jerry's, Northshire Bookstore, Southern Vermont Art Center, Outlet Stores), and just 15 minutes from Dorset (Dorset Theatre, Dorset Union Store, Barrows House, Dorset Inn). It is centrally located between Stratton, Okemo, Bromley, Killington and Pico mountains, so if you like to ski, snowboard or enjoy summer hiking and biking, this is the perfect location for you.
