All of the staff are extremely knowledgeable about the interesting selection of beers, wines and spirits that they have to offer and whilst being incredibly busy, still manage to find time to stay a while and have a chat. The food... absolutely beautiful! We had another engagement so were unable to stay for dinner but had a sharing plate of nibbles and the most divine lemon cheesecake just because we couldn't stay without experiencing the food. Breakfast was also delicious and was clearly by the look and taste not cheap produce. We cannot wait to come back. Don't hesitate to book, you will not be disappointed. "

Parking is handy, through quite a narrow entrance and is a bit ‘potholey’ but nothing you can’t navigate. Not many shops around the area but there is a coop food a few doors away and plenty in nearby Wallingford to keep you supplied. The only thing I will say is if you have the four poster bed and you’re remotely clumsy, watch your knees on the edge of the bed!"
