- "Being on the river was very nice." - "River" - "The lodge was very clean. We would stay there again. " - "Great location . Friendly staff." - "Simple, well-maintained, clean, friendly. Excellent mattress. You can walk right out back down to the river (watch where you step, lots of geese hang out there). there's a gazebo to sit in and they'll light up the fire pit if you ask. Connectivity is spotty but that's not why you're here. They're all about fishing. Restaurants and everything else is 12 minutes up the road."

- "I stayed here 2 nights. Went steelhead fishing 2 mornings. Both lodging and fishing were epic." - "Wonderful view while brushing your teeth😁" - "A charming, luxurious little hideaway in the heart of Weaverville. We enjoyed an afternoon cocktail on the porch and were able to cater in breakfast in the well-equipped “Loft” room. " - "We stayed in Room #5, the carriage house, which felt like our own little bungalow separate from the house, and it was lovely. Well appointed with amenities, complimentary snacks, nice and cool (it was hot out!), quiet, and a short walk from all the restaurants and bars. Noelle was a great host and extremely gracious when we accidentally showed up on the wrong date! I didn’t realize I accidentally booked the night prior, but thankfully there was a room available when we showed up a day late for our reservation. Will definitely stay here again and double-check the dates! "

- "I liked the historic character of the hotel." - "The antiques were amazing and the whole stay seemed like you were in a different century. Fireplace was so nice and relaxing." - "Everything about this hotel was charming! Self check in is easy and convenient. Our room (#4) had a unique layout. Shower and toilet on one side of the room and clawfoot tub on the other with the sink in the middle of the bedroom. Seemed odd at first, but definitely added to the charm. So many antiques to admire. If you like sterile, generic grey and white hotel rooms, this may not be for you. Colors, textures, old smells (not gross just old) and extremely clean! No detail seemed to be overlooked, even the coffee mugs in the rooms were well thought out. The included breakfast in the beautiful parlor was excellent! Loved the homemade blueberry muffins and breakfast burritos.Everything about this hotel was charming! Self check in is easy and convenient. Our room (#4) had a unique layout. 26 Salmon Drive is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin situated on the Trinity River in the remote and beautiful historic mining town of Lewiston. Steelhead and salmon fishing right from the river bank of the property combined with the Bucktail drift boat access directly across the river makes this getaway the optimal location for fisherman and outdoor enthusiasts.
This cabin is nestled in the trees set back off the Trinity River with a quiet scenic view of the pine trees from the large covered porch, which we have found perfect for relaxing and grilling after a day on the river. Our actual property extends all the way to the river bank, across the river from Bucktail Hole, however the house itself is set back about 100 yards from the river itself.
The house includes a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen complete with a new outdoor Weber gas grill. There is a dining table off the kitchen inside as well as a large dining table on the deck. This is a home away from home for us, so we try to keep all the typical cooking and dining essentials handy.
The master bedroom includes a queen size bed as well as a twin size day bed. The second bedroom has two extra long twin beds which is plenty of room for two adults. If you find yourself needing additional sleeping accommodations, we have a king size aero bed available as well. Linens and bath towels are provided as well as starter paper products.
**HD FLAT SCREEN!
The living room is conveniently adjacent to the kitchen and dining area with a 50' HD flat screen television with Direct TV. Free wireless internet. This house also has heating, air-conditioning, washer/dryer, and free long distance from the house phone. Smoke-free please and 'good' dogs welcome.
We recommend you bring your own drinking water. It is safe and potable, but comes from the community well so has a funny/sulfur taste sometimes.

- "We loved our stay at the cabin. Lizzie and Jay were exceptional hosts. The cabin and area are so special. Lewiston is so cute and we loved exploring all the little mountain towns on 299. We were able to catch 4 steelhead, two within walking distance of the cabin. Our well mannered dog loved the heater. The deck was magical and the stars were spectacular. We loved our trip and are looking forward to returning." - "We needed a vacation- and wanted to go somewhere we'd never ventured to. This cabin and location had it all - amazing hiking and biking trails, fantastic swimming holes, and epic fishing. The salmon were running - and the best spot was .2 mile from the cabin. The area is rustic and quiet, with great neighbors and the lewiston creek in front of you. The cabin was well equipped for our family of teenagers - grateful we found a new place to come back to!"

Beautiful and fully appointed A-Frame house on the bank of the Trinity River. Relax, chill, fish, play... On the Trinity River! Alpen Glow is a wonderful, pet-friendly cabin that has an extraordinary deck overlooking the river. The railings are see-through with stainless steel cable horizontals to optimize the view.
The huge kitchen is fully appointed. Pretty much, if it doesn't have it, you don't need it. There is a large pantry with many basics. There is dining for 8-10 (if approved; Alpen Glow is priced for up to 7 guests).
The large living room has 30-foot ceilings, an electric fireplace that provides pleasant heat and is stunning to watch, an extensive library, flat panel TV with Dish TV and DVD player with a large library of movies.
The very large leather sectional features a recliner and a comfortable hide-a-bed, so extra guests can sleep there and not on the futon in the master loft, which gives everyone more privacy.
Alpen Glow has Wi-Fi, cable TV and a (shared) land line phone with free long distance. Wi-Fi has been a stumbling block for us here because we've had limited suppliers and options but Fall 2017 we finally got access to unlimited fast streaming and we jumped immediately. The cabin has all kinds of sleeping areas, including two lofts (one is an enormous master loft with a CalKing bed and in-room Jacuzzi tub. Its closets are so large, we even put a twin bed in one of them). There is one traditional bedroom with a queen bed and a twin bed and the leather sectional in the living room has a queen hide-a-bed in it as well as room for another sleeper on the other side of the couch. Yes, it is THAT big! More details below:
The lofts are open, but do not look on each other. The spacious Master Loft has a California King log bed with an organic memory foam topper, wood stove, Jacuzzi tub in room (not an outdoor hot tub; a bathing tub), queen futon and a private bath (toilet & shower; double vanity).
The River Loft log bed looks out over the river, mountains and sky. The traditional bedroom on the main floor has a handsome wrought iron queen bed with pillowtop mattress and a twin bed.
There's a mud room that's great for drying gear. The mud room has an additional pantry, washer and dryer, plus a deep sink.
Alpen Glow has an enormous deck overlooking the Trinity River, mountains and trees. Year-round, this is a favored spot for guests.
There is a shared BBQ patio on the upriver side of Alpen Glow, but the majority of the cabin focuses on the river and guests rarely see other cabins' guests unless they go out of their way.
Birdsong is so abundant, it boggles the mind. There is salmon and trout fishing at the cabin, plus a swimming hole. Wonderful ponds nearby are warmer than the river in summer, and fun for calm water swimming and playing with your dogs.
A log swing and comfy chairs are all around the 1.15 acre lot that is shared by 2 other cabins, each unique in its own right and private from each other, but close enough you can rent all for a large group, as many family reunions in summer and fishing groups in winter do.
There are no other properties on the Trinity River that equal this location. It really does have everything.
- "The location of the cabin is perfect. The deck and lawn are great places to relax after a day of tubing, fishing, paddle boarding or kayaking. The Trinity River is a gorgeous river. We would definitely stay there again!" - "Had a fantastic holiday stay at this cabin. Super comfortable and clean. Plenty of supplies in the house everywhere you look. Very pleasant and comfortable stay as if it was our own home." - "We enjoyed the peacefulness and Serenity of the home. On the back deck you can watch all the stars at night Thursday night it was fabulous . The river is beautiful , Enjoying the sounds of the river was so relaxing. We tried fishing on the river and at whiskey lake both locations we didn't have any luck but it sure was beautiful. You will most certainly enjoy your vacation here."

The Miner's in one word: enchanting. It is a tiny jewel of a place located just a few feet from the Trinity River. It's pet-friendly, has world class but challenging fishing right outside your door and exquisite river and mountain views.
As soon as it was available, we upgraded to a fast and unlimited internet supplier (fall/2017).
The Miner's Landing is a fabulous river rock patio with a fire pit & BBQ grill right next to the river. What beats a fire and watching the stars in the night sky?
Occasionally we approve a fourth guest who can bring a sleeping bag and sleep on a (provided) sleeping pad, but this is a small cabin and best enjoyed by 2-3. Note: To access the sleeping loft you will need to climb a ladder (as seen in photos). If climbing a ladder will pose and issue, this may not be the best cabin for you.
Minimalist cooking facilities, but there is a sink, convection/toaster oven, microwave, deep electric skillet and Farberware single-cup coffee maker with coffee pods and creamers included. There is a cool clock with mood lighting and nature sounds; you can plug your phone or pad into it to stream music.
Some of our parties have brought cast iron cookware and cooked on the fire pit/BBQ or their own tabletop Weber down on the landing. We were invited to drop in on one of them and visited while he fried gorgeous potatoes in cast iron over an open fire. He patiently turned each herb-seasoned chunk as we caught up with their travels. They had just spent a month in Europe, mostly Paris and some of Italy, but were anxious to return to the Miner's beside the river.
BBQ on the landing, or bring a camp stove and cook on the landing (please not in cabin; we have limited emergency response resources up here and a fire could be devastating). We have gas and Weber BBQs up on the main patio between Alpen Glow & Carriage House.
There is cookware, dining ware and serving ware. Dorm-sized refrigerator has a separate freezer for that all-essential pint of Ben & Jerry's, plus we supply a huge cooler with frozen water jugs to keep it cool. The bathroom features a roomy shower with the toilet in it (like you see on some boats and in some trailers).
We are always upgrading our cabins. We paved the main drive and put in a large parking lot at the entrance that's great for boats and vehicles, but Miner's guests have their own parking close to the cabin. All of our Steel Bridge cabins have Wi-Fi and late 2017 saw a switch to a fast and unlimited carrier. Yippee!
Time to unplug and recharge? You really are going to love this place.
- "It was relaxing and the view is beautiful there!" - "Great for one night, river is stunning. :)" - "Sweet little log cabin. Beautiful river view. Nice and quiet. Great trip." - "This property provides everything you need for a comfortable retreat: little cabin in the woods, firepit, river access, peace and quiet Modern luxuries like electricity, plumbing, air conditioning, and internet access provide ease. Simplicity provides serenity. My cell service didn't work inside the cabin but did work a 5 minute walk up the road. River access requires strength and agility, with a short but steep drop from the hillside (rope provided for stability) onto a small ladder. I enjoyed the fun mini-challenge but some bodies would not be able to handle it. Miner's Cabin is a dream come true for dreamers who crave a private riverside get-away."

Ron was amazing and super responsive the entire way, from booking to check out. Our kids had a blast enjoying the indoor pool and spa at all hours and no matter the weather! I think our only feedback would be that the home could use a little TLC. Cobwebs and a little deferred maintenance didnt stop us from making wonderful memories but could have added to a more pleasant esthetic experience, even with the dated finishes. Overall if you can move past those small items then you are guaranteed to have a great time!"

As your hosts, we are so excited for your upcoming adventure at the Cabin. You will have immediate feelings of relaxation and adventure as soon as you book your get-a-way. Just 10 minutes off highway 299 you will find that the cabin is situated in a private setting in a beautiful historic town of Lewiston, Ca. You can enjoy many amenities here. There is a fully equipped kitchen, an open floor plan, a large custom dining table, seating on the deck, comfortable and cozy sleeping arrangements. There are a bedroom and a full bathroom on each level of the cabin as well as a fully equipped laundry room. You will have necessary amenities including, towels, soap, toilet paper, bedding, and internet access. You can enjoy a short walk to view the river or a very short drive to full access to the river. Often we see wildlife right on the property and it is a beautiful sight to see. Once we were enjoying an evening on the deck with family and a group of 7 bucks came walking by. Yes, it was amazing! The living space features tall vaulted ceilings, a couch and two overstuffed chairs with ottomans, a gas fireplace, a 60 inch LCD Tv with DVD player (please bring or rent movies at the local general store in Lewiston) and many large windows for natural lighting. Also, overlooks the exquisite deck the wraps half way around the cabin. The Kitchen shows off its beautiful granite counter tops and hardwood flooring. There are stainless steel appliances including the fridge (brand new, may not show in photos) gas stove, the trash compactor, the dish washer and the microwave. All amenities, including pots and pans, baking items, cookie sheets, plates, cups, mugs, forks, spoons, knives, a grater, a chopper, a coffee maker, a blender, cutting board, storage containers (please do not take home), foil and cleaning supplies. The kitchen also features plenty of space in the pantry cabinets. Enjoy these amenities by bringing your food and dining in. Plus, you get to enjoy the beautiful log dining table we made ourselves with live edges and our own custom design. The kitchen opens up into the living room and dining area. The Dining room and Living room can lead you to the Deck on the second story. The deck offers a fun and relaxing atmosphere. We have arranged an outdoor seating area with a comfortable love seat, two chairs and a coffee table along with a separate table and chairs for enjoying meals, coffee, games etc. The stairs leading up to the deck from outside the cabin can often be slippery, please use caution. Please do not wear your studded wading (fishing) boots on the deck. The Master bedroom is located on the 3rd story and has a Posterpedic CalKing mattress. It also features two leather chairs for reading, chatting and relaxing with a cup of tea. There is plenty of storage with a dresser and long closets to hang your clothing/gear. Please note: we may have some things in the closets. The master bedroom has a large bathroom with two sinks, an oversized 'open' shower and a beautiful tub. The toilet is separated by a door. The middle bedroom has a Queen size bed with the fun fishing decor. It features two large windows and a walk in closet (here you will find two twin air mattresses). It also has a chest dresser as well as an overstuffed leather chair for you to enjoy. The first story has a separate room that has two queen beds and can sleep four comfortably. New flooring and two large windows. Please note, we are mid updating so some of the baseboards are not finished yet and some odds and ends. Outside the room, you will find a private toilet, a shower with just a glass door for privacy but please note, it is open, a sink with storage and a fully equipped laundry room. This can also act as the 'Mud Room' by entering in from the garage. The garage will likely have a boat in it along with some fishing gear and items for the cabin. Please let us know if you expect to need the space in the garage. The property is beautiful and often times you will see wildlife. Please keep it tidy as sometimes it can bring in that wildlife. The property is about 1 acre of level ground and the other 1.5 acres is on steep terrain. Please stay on the flat piece surrounding and up to the private roads. Plenty of room to play outdoor games and for entertainment. The water comes from a well and we had it tested for safe drinking. It is safe to drink, however, we recommend bringing up water for drinking but totally up to you. Summer months tends to bring a lot of iron and material up through the pipes pending availability of a new filter instal please expect this.
Guest access
You have access to the whole cabin along with the level property around the cabin with the exception of garage space at times. Please let us know if you may need this space and we will do our best to accommodate. Please note: We run a fishing guide business and there may be a boat in the garage as well as fishing gear. Do not touch nor expect to use this gear for obvious reasons, thank you.

Very well equipped with a pool, hot tub, games, and A/C that works." - "This home is perfect for a family to enjoy each other's company! It is quite truly a multigenerational wonderland! Elders can stay in the downstairs master suite, while the younger folks can stay upstairs! The swimming pool, outdoor kitchen and firepit lounge, hot tub, pool and ping pong tables made it fun for everybody. Our youngest visitor was 1 year old and our oldest was 72 years old. Fire Pit Use is Seasonally Restricted
Due to the high wildfire risk and limited evacuation routes in the area, we do not permit any outdoor fires, campfires, or charcoal grills from May through October, regardless of whether a campfire permit is obtained.
From November through April, small campfires are permitted only with a valid California Campfire Permit.
We know the fire pit is a nice amenity, but safety comes first, and our neighbors take this seriously. We appreciate your understanding. Violations of this policy may result in early termination of your stay and potential fines from local authorities.
Thank you for helping keep our home and community safe!

Beautiful spacious home in a completely fenced and gated private property, off of the road. Quiet and serene in a forest like setting. Beautifully landscaped with unusual plants, fountains, unique and one of a kind statues, water falls, orchard, lawns, and a garden meditation room. Home has an in-ground pool, fitness room, jacuzzi, and sauna included. and an art studio available Coming soon includes a separate game room, an art studio, a duck pond, more streams and waterfalls, and a koi pond.
- "Rose House in Weaverville is so much more than a 'place to stay'. The pictures listed on the site do not do this property any justice. The host was very accommodating and communcations were prompt and reliable. The house is very, very well taken care of and many unique upgrades have been done. Jamie and his family have done an amazing job at mixing original architecture with new and different ideas/styles. The hand laid petrified wood mosaic floor in the bathroom is simply awesome. Upon arrival, we were introduced and presented with a cake and small gift as we were celebrating our 15 year wedding anniversary. This made us feel immediately like extended family being welcomed home. The house has everything you could need (laundry facilities, cook ware, dining ware, towels, etc...) We were way over-packed as we didn't know what to expect. The outside grounds are very nice and many projects are under way. We cannot wait to get back to Rose House in the future. The geographic area is phenomenal. We did not get to see a lot of the historical buildings/items in town as we only had a Sunday free and most things were closed. There is a lumber/saw mill operation near by that somehow adds to the quantness of the entire area. On those clear, star-lit nights we could barely hear it and you would almost believe it was the 1800's. Thank You Jamie... We wish we could've rated you higher but we were only allowed 5 stars to choose from"
