This house is 1 of 3 in a private gated estate on 5 acres, though each house is situated in a way to enjoy privacy. Relax outdoors in the large shady oak meadow with family and friends, and watch woodpeckers, robins, bluejays and finches bathe in the pond.
The house itself has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom.
As you walk in from the parking area you’ll enter the large covered deck and through the front door you’ll find the bright living room and modern kitchen. The bedrooms and bath are located down a set of stairs off the living room. The larger bedroom has a door that leads outside to a second porch. The bathroom has a full bathtub great for soaking and an on-demand hot water heater to ensure that everyone gets a hot shower!

This 900 square foot red cottage boasts plenty of outdoor space including two amazing decks which offer optimal sunshine and a yard all around the house, nestled against the hillside. In addition to the deck space and green yard space, there is a large meadow located right up the drive which is ideal for picnics and playtime. The cottage has a full sized washer and dryer located in the basement for quick and easy washing. A kitchen stocked with all the necessities (and a few snacks great for hiking) make it easy to prepare for picnics or for a quiet dinner in. The house has an on-demand hot water heater to ensure that everyone gets a hot shower!

Our small family farm invites you to camp in luxury under a canopy of redwoods and stars. Our small family farm invites you to camp in luxury under a canopy of redwoods. Located just 10 mins outside of Garberville in a redwood valley, we offer two glamping sites that have everything you need to enjoy nature in style. One of the sites is called The Orchard. You can drive your car right up to it. The other requires climbing stairs to the top of a hill. We call that one The Knoll. This page describes The Knoll. The Knoll site features a carpeted 13 foot round bell tent with a queen size bed with all linens, pillows blankets, as well as a couch, coffee table, and solar powered lights both inside and outside. It has a small outdoor kitchenette with a 1-burner stove, pots, pans, coffee, tea, and a 5-gallon water jug. Enjoy your meals on a large outdoor table. Plates, glasses and cutlery are provided. There is a cooler, a compost bin for your food scraps, Porta-Potty service and a hand washing station that are at the bottom of the steps about 150 feet away.

For showering, we have built you a gorgeous spiral outdoor shower. Please use it before you relax under the stars in our 5 person hot tub! Please note, the hot tub is shared.

Both tent sites are very private. You and the other campsite share the Porta-Potty and shower, as well as our hot tub. You are welcome to take walks on our property and to hang out by the creek. You can also arrange with us to get a tour of our farm!

Our unique and beautiful home is nestled in the mountains above the Historic Benbow Inn, just 15 minutes away from the famous Avenue of the Giants. Our circular dome-shaped house, lovingly nicknamed The Hobbit House, is made with compacted straw bales and earth. It's not only eco-friendly but also has deep windows, niches, and shelves that give the walls a magical and artistic feel.

Our goal is to provide a memorable vacation experience that focuses on outdoor living. Imagine enjoying the fire pit under a covered gazebo, relaxing in the hot tub, or bouncing on the 14' trampoline while taking in the breathtaking views of the King Range.

Step inside the main house, and you'll find a spacious interior with high vaulted ceilings and a cozy living area with a fireplace and surround sound system. The kitchen is surrounded by an impressive island bar top that can seat 12 people, making it perfect for family vacation gatherings.

The two luxury bathrooms on the main level have walk-in showers, and the bedrooms have comfortable king beds and futons with lovely views of the oak forest and emerald-green mountains in the distance. For younger travelers, the loft area adjacent to the fireplace has a queen bed, four twin beds, and a large crash pillow.

If you're looking for more privacy, we also have a Cottage and a Tree House Casita. The Cottage is approximately 100 ft from the main house and has incredible views of the valley below. The Tree House Casita cantilevers over the hill and is surrounded by trees, making it feel like a real treehouse.

As this house is on the hilltop, there are a set of stairs to access the main level of the house. Additionally, the house has a set of stairs to access the second floor bedrooms and bath which contains a full bathtub. Behind the sliding barn door, the master bedroom has a private bath with a shower. The fully equipped kitchen is set off the living room and has an island that is great for meal prep while visiting with guests. High quality furnishings and linens, and we keep to traditional interior styling to best blend with our mountain retreat. The house is approximately 1,500 square feet of living space plus a large garage and game area on the ground level.

The sauna in the backyard is available for guests to use and directions for operation are located in the welcome guide inside the house.

Guests have access to the entire house, the deck and backyard. Additionally there is a large meadow below the house (which has a pond/ fire pit/picnic area), and is shared with guests from the other 2 houses on the 5 acre estate.

I am always available by phone or through your booking platform should any issues arise, and usually within a 10-15 minute drive away for any issues that may need resolution in person (i.e. internet reset or power outage, etc.).

I do all the housekeeping and maintenance, so I very much appreciate that guests leave the house tidy at checkout.

One mile north of our cottage along the Avenue of the Giants is the town of Miranda, where you will find all you need to stock up for your stay. There are gas pumps at the local market, a post office, the Avenue Cafe (serves lunch & dinner), the Redwood Palace (serves dinner) and Sips Coffee kiosk

Being situated on the Avenue of The Giants, there is easy access to HWY 101,
but you may also hear some noise from the highway.

Humboldt County is a rural, forested area and you may have limited cellular/data services and GPS/Navigation Will not be accurate. Please print and follow my directions.

The DRIVEWAY leading up to the house is GRAVEL and somewhat STEEP in areas. Use caution and drive slowly up and down the hill. All types of vehicles with good tires can make it up the drive, some more easily than others.

If you are pulling a trailer, feel free to park and unhitch in the meadow below, as parking and turning around is tight once you get to the top of the hill and reach the house.

The best time to enjoy river activities is (approximately) April until August. In drought years the water will be very low.

Please note that we have three listings on this 5 acre property, and you may run into other guests in the shared meadow below the house if Caraway Cottage or Pepperwood Place are booked. Our small family farm invites you to stay in our newly renovated one bedroom home in the Redwoods. Located just 10 mins outside of Garberville, this home has all the amenities you need to comfortably explore the majestic nature just outside your doorstep.

The large windows all around the space immerses you in nature while providing the comforts of a fully furnished home that includes a kitchen with stove and fridge, a bathroom with large tub and shower, a bedroom with a Queen size bed and a living room with a pull out futon couch for extra guests. The tall canopy of redwood trees around the house allow plenty of light to get in while keeping it naturally air conditioned. There is heat, hot water, coffee maker, pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils, linens, towels, soaps and shampoo all here.

Outside, you are welcome to enjoy the additional outdoor spiral shower, large hot tub under the stars, and walking trails to the end of our 160 acre property. Please note the hot tub is shared with other guests.

Self check in is available. The space is very private with your own parking spot right by the house. There is a flight of stairs to enter the house with a garage underneath.

We are 4 adults who have lived on this land growing our own food and medicine for over 20 years. Our land is off-grid, but we have a robust solar and hydro-electric energy system that provides power 24 hours a day. We take great pride in stewarding this beautiful land and farm responsibly. There's a gate with a code at the property. Before your arrival, I'll send you the code so you can easily open and close the gate during your stay.
You are welcome to use the area in front of the RV. However, it's not advisable to hike on the property due to neighboring private properties.

Brand new house made in the heart of the redwoods. Perfect place to stay while exploring the redwoods, visiting the Eel River, going on a cannabis tour, playing a round at the Benbow Golf Course, place to stay while attending the festivals near by or kicking your feet up after a search for Big Foot of course! With two queen beds it could be a fun romantic stay for a couple or two.

Madrone Cabin! The newest cabin on the property is cozy and has two twin beds perfect for the kids! Has a cabin feel but don't worry you still have high-speed Starlink wifi and smart TV to stream your favorite shows. All while having tons of activities on site. Not to mention the private swimming/ fishing hole. Come settle down and kick back, perfect for family gatherings and get-togethers. The main lodge is also for rent boasting two kitchens Two bedrooms and large gathering areas.

Boasting a workout center and game room there is plenty of things to do here to keep busy and have fun. Also, the cabin has high-speed Starlink internet with a smart tv so you can watch your favorite shows!

Ravenwood is special, to say the least it has a California king bed with a twin for a guest, and the interior has a warm cozy cabin feel from the wood siding. Also with high-speed Starlink wifi and smart TV! The porch is a peaceful place listening to the river and birds singing. It is a must-stay! Leave behind the worries of town and relax at the private river bar or catch a workout in the workout room. Richardson Grove State Park is a mere 500 feet south on 101 as well!
