This house is 1 of 3 in a private gated estate on 5 acres, though each house is situated in a way to enjoy privacy. Relax outdoors in the large shady oak meadow with family and friends, and watch woodpeckers, robins, bluejays and finches bathe in the pond.
The house itself has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom.
As you walk in from the parking area you’ll enter the large covered deck and through the front door you’ll find the bright living room and modern kitchen. The bedrooms and bath are located down a set of stairs off the living room. The larger bedroom has a door that leads outside to a second porch. The bathroom has a full bathtub great for soaking and an on-demand hot water heater to ensure that everyone gets a hot shower!

You’ll have access to the entire house and also the surrounding property that is shared with the other 2 Airbnb’s. The large meadow has a fire pit, a small pond, horseshoes, and a box with frisbees, baseball bats and balls, soccer balls etc.

The town of Miranda is about a mile from the Airbnb on the Avenue of the Giants (also known as CA-254). They have groceries, fuel, and a charging station

The property is set in the woods, and enjoy visits from a variety of wildlife, including foxes, skunks, squirrels, turkeys, and the neighbor's cats and chickens at times.

Being situated on the Avenue of The Giants, there is easy access to HWY 101,
but you may also hear some noise from the highway.

Our unique and beautiful home is nestled in the mountains above the Historic Benbow Inn, just 15 minutes away from the famous Avenue of the Giants. Our circular dome-shaped house, lovingly nicknamed The Hobbit House, is made with compacted straw bales and earth. It's not only eco-friendly but also has deep windows, niches, and shelves that give the walls a magical and artistic feel.

Our goal is to provide a memorable vacation experience that focuses on outdoor living. Imagine enjoying the fire pit under a covered gazebo, relaxing in the hot tub, or bouncing on the 14' trampoline while taking in the breathtaking views of the King Range.

Step inside the main house, and you'll find a spacious interior with high vaulted ceilings and a cozy living area with a fireplace and surround sound system. The kitchen is surrounded by an impressive island bar top that can seat 12 people, making it perfect for family vacation gatherings.

The two luxury bathrooms on the main level have walk-in showers, and the bedrooms have comfortable king beds and futons with lovely views of the oak forest and emerald-green mountains in the distance. For younger travelers, the loft area adjacent to the fireplace has a queen bed, four twin beds, and a large crash pillow.

If you're looking for more privacy, we also have a Cottage and a Tree House Casita. The Cottage is approximately 100 ft from the main house and has incredible views of the valley below. The Tree House Casita cantilevers over the hill and is surrounded by trees, making it feel like a real treehouse.

As this house is on the hilltop, there are a set of stairs to access the main level of the house. Additionally, the house has a set of stairs to access the second floor bedrooms and bath which contains a full bathtub. Behind the sliding barn door, the master bedroom has a private bath with a shower. The fully equipped kitchen is set off the living room and has an island that is great for meal prep while visiting with guests. High quality furnishings and linens, and we keep to traditional interior styling to best blend with our mountain retreat. The house is approximately 1,500 square feet of living space plus a large garage and game area on the ground level.

The sauna in the backyard is available for guests to use and directions for operation are located in the welcome guide inside the house.

Guests have access to the entire house, the deck and backyard. Additionally there is a large meadow below the house (which has a pond/ fire pit/picnic area), and is shared with guests from the other 2 houses on the 5 acre estate.

I am always available by phone or through your booking platform should any issues arise, and usually within a 10-15 minute drive away for any issues that may need resolution in person (i.e. internet reset or power outage, etc.).

One mile north of our cottage along the Avenue of the Giants is the town of Miranda, where you will find all you need to stock up for your stay. There are gas pumps at the local market, a post office, the Avenue Cafe (serves lunch & dinner), the Redwood Palace (serves dinner) and Sips Coffee kiosk

The DRIVEWAY leading up to the house is GRAVEL and somewhat STEEP in areas. Use caution and drive slowly up and down the hill. All types of vehicles with good tires can make it up the drive, some more easily than others.

If you are pulling a trailer, feel free to park and unhitch in the meadow below, as parking and turning around is tight once you get to the top of the hill and reach the house.

The best time to enjoy river activities is (approximately) April until August. In drought years the water will be very low.

It’s is within walking distance to the eel river, shuttle service to festivals and the Benbow Inn bar and restaurant/hotel. Garberville is a 5 minute drive away. Coffee is provided to guests. Our small family farm invites you to stay in our newly renovated one bedroom home in the Redwoods. Located just 10 mins outside of Garberville, this home has all the amenities you need to comfortably explore the majestic nature just outside your doorstep.

The large windows all around the space immerses you in nature while providing the comforts of a fully furnished home that includes a kitchen with stove and fridge, a bathroom with large tub and shower, a bedroom with a Queen size bed and a living room with a pull out futon couch for extra guests. The tall canopy of redwood trees around the house allow plenty of light to get in while keeping it naturally air conditioned. There is heat, hot water, coffee maker, pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils, linens, towels, soaps and shampoo all here.

Outside, you are welcome to enjoy the additional outdoor spiral shower, large hot tub under the stars, and walking trails to the end of our 160 acre property. Please note the hot tub is shared with other guests.

Self check in is available. The space is very private with your own parking spot right by the house. There is a flight of stairs to enter the house with a garage underneath.

Brand new house made in the heart of the redwoods. Perfect place to stay while exploring the redwoods, visiting the Eel River, going on a cannabis tour, playing a round at the Benbow Golf Course, place to stay while attending the festivals near by or kicking your feet up after a search for Big Foot of course! With two queen beds it could be a fun romantic stay for a couple or two.

The Log Cabin is located on the Benbow Golf Course. The home is an open Cabin feel. A perfect location for a family venturing through the Redwoods. Walking distance to the Historic Benbow Inn. Bring your golf clubs and swing into the Benbow KOA to rent a cart and spend the day on the greens. 8 miles North on the 101 you will find the Avenue of the Giants with several groves to stop and hug the Redwoods. 18 miles South on the 101 you will find the Famous Drive Thru Tree, a must see with family!

The space
The Log Cabin is a family-friendly atmosphere located on the Benbow Golf Course. There is reliable Starlink wifi internet for remote work and video streaming. Upstairs is an open concept. The stairway opens up to two rooms, one on either side of the stairs with 1 king bed, 1 queen, 1 twin trundle, and a crib. A full bathroom with a tub. The sofa downstairs lays flat for an added sleeping area. Dining area seats 4 comfortably. Full bathroom with shower downstairs. Large deck off the back with foosball table. Gorgeous front yard with swing set, climbing dome, and trampoline. Plenty of space in 0.5 acre yard for furry friends to frolic. There are two 12,000 BTU ac unit upstairs and downstairs and also two tower fans.

NOTE: Due to insurance and liability, we unfortunately had to remove the trampoline. We hope you understand. As you can imagine, short term insurance companies have refused to cover the property with the trampoline. We apologize if this will let any children down. We hope children will still have a fabulous time exploring the jungle gym and the nearby nature. Please let me know if you need any activity ideas.

This 15 acre campground is at the end of the private drive. Although this is a campground there are two small sleeping cabins each sleeps two people. There is an outdoor kitchen complete with running water, utensils, pots and pans, a three burner stove and a barbecue, plus gazebo covered tables for preparation and eating. We provide three garbage cans for your garbage.

This is a campground so there is no electricity. There is fresh community water. There is a three burner stove and a barbecue. And hot water in the bathrooms and shower. We have also provided battery operated lanterns and a flashlight. There is also pots and pans, and plate ware and utensils. There are many picnic tables, two glass patio tables with chairs and chairs around the campfire.

Otherwise, pretty private and secure knowing you are not just out in the Woods alone as we have a security dog out front and know when anyone arrives here un unannounced. We do have maybe a unique dish washing area and that it it just outside on the covered patio very close by to keep you not having to look at or wash dishes inside but works very well with hot and cold running water. *** Due to area location SOME , not all cell phone services can be a little faded but usually can be found closely by the cabin. You can always Use wi-fi cell service..
*** please try and arrive prior to 8 p.m as darkness of driving and checking in may be a little bit more difficult than normal, But always we will be here for you.

This area is magical!, not much more to say except a trip to shelter Cove is certainly a trip worth taking,about 1hr. 15 min. from here but truly magnificent views and restaurants..a great way to spend the day and see the Great Black sand beaches, one is pure sand to the south and the other is all pebbles to the North.. all beaches accessible by car and or by foot. Ferndale an early frontier village built in the late 1,800’s has kept its reputation of design and restoration up to date with old school design and has been the set for many motion pictures, a must see! Approximately 50 min. Drive from cabin. Plenty of street shopping and mixed restaurants to fulfill most peoples desires. The Pacific Ocean is about 10 minutes away from Ferndale, you can walk along the beach and breathe the fresh air and look for driftwood left behind.

This quaint, rustic, hexagonal cabin studio is wonderfully unique. Nestled among the trees just at the fogline, it overlooks the valley below. Beautiful views, wooded surroundings, a serene interior and recent renovation make this a home to truly relax in and enjoy. Unwind with a hot bath in the outdoor tub (especially nice during sunrise or sunset), enjoy takeout or a home-cooked meal and cuddle up on the comfy couch with a good book or movie.

Other things to note
Just as a note for fur friends, there are critters on the property including deer, turkeys and squirrels that they may be enticed to chase. It’s best to keep an eye on them as the road is just down the hill. Within the fenced-in yard it should be fine!

Also, this is an endeavor between cousins that happen to be best friends. We grew up here and our grandparents lived in this cabin, which was built by their son in the ‘80s and has been newly remodeled. We are 4 adults who have lived on this land growing our own food and medicine for over 20 years. Our 160 acre property is off-grid, but we have a robust solar and hydro-electric energy system that provides power 24 hours a day. The space includes a full kitchen with gas stove, fridge, bathroom with large tub and shower, bedroom with a Queen size bed and a living room with a pull out couch for extra guests. The tall canopy of redwood trees around the house allow plenty of light to get in while keeping it naturally air conditioned. There is heat, hot water, coffee maker with coffee and tea provided, pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils, linens, towels, soaps and shampoo all here.

Outside, you are welcome to enjoy the additional outdoor spiral shower, large hot tub under the stars, and walking trails to the end of our 160 acre property. Please note, the hot tub is shared.

Right next to the beautiful Honeydew creek. Close to many of the trails of the King Range conservation area. About 45 minutes from the beach on the Lost Coast.

The space
The cabin has two small bedrooms and a full bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need to fix your own meal of any kind. The living room is comfy and made for relaxing. It’s very quiet here lots of privacy. Enjoy your morning coffee down by the creek. Stroll around on the 200 acre ranch. My house is here on the property, but it cannot be seen from the cabin. There is a large barn on the property and the upstairs is rented out as an Airbnb sometimes.

Other things to note
Please be aware that you will be in a very remote area. There are bears, mountain lions, coyotes, rattlesnakes, and other various wildlife. Stay alert at all times. If you are bringing a dog, please keep it on a leash. There are horses that run around free, other dogs, and many cats.
The cabin is an older home and not perfect, but very comfy and well supplied with everything you will need to have a wonderful time.

Dogs welcome-must declare in booking request.

There is a small private driveway for the house with a front deck at the main front door entrance. The key will be in a keypad lock box on the front door on the deck. The back door goes into a detached laundry room which exits onto a back patio. This is a property on a dead end road with no turn around for motor home/trailer hauling vehicles. Please keep this is mind if you are hauling a trailer or are driving an RV-this will not be the house for you-huge apologies.

Other things to note
There is a one bedroom apartment attached to the house. Owner may possibly access the back apartment or the back yard shed during stay. You must declare if you are bringing a pet, and how many when you make a booking request. Two dog maximum.
Arriving with a pet without declaring it will cause immediate cancellation of booking without refund.

We have bears and raccoons in the area - they're more interested in picnic baskets than people, but it's always good to know when they're in the neighborhood, so we'll let you know if we spot any nearby.

The space
Since I live here part time and I love to cook the kitchen is fully stocked with every pot and pan you could think of. Tons of kitchen gadgets. Always have spices oil and vinegar salt and pepper and anything you would find in a usual dwelling.

Other things to note
There are security cameras from when I used to live there, but since it's a rental now they have all been turned off.

The space
This one story bungalow layout with surrounding decks offers indoor and outdoor space with multiple zones within its fenced courtyard. Picnic table, multiple dining and sitting areas for your enjoyment.
Please note: though there is no WI-FI, cell phone service is strong in the area.

Guest access
The first gate is reserved exclusively for our guests, and accommodates two to three vehicles. One vehicle fits within the perimeter lockable security gate. This is a very low trafficked and quite neighborhood with a shared respect for individual privacy and a defined curtilage.

Other things to note
The property is set-up to provide a comfortable experience for up to 5 guests per night. There is an extra guest fee of $100 per guest per night should you exceed 5 guests.

Guests who book three or more days have access to use the washer and dryer.
