Our home is located on a quiet street surrounded by beautiful Redwood trees. There is access to the Coastal Redwood forest or our local beaches just 5 minutes from our home. For the fishing enthusiast there is world class Salmon and Steelhead fishing just 15 minutes away. (Salmon Oct-Dec) (Steelhead Dec-April)

The space
The room is located in the back of our home off of our little home gym. The bathroom is our guest bathroom, it is not connected directly to guest room. You will have to pass through the house to access the bathroom. (We typically only have one guest at a time)

This nice corner room is in a very pleasant suburban neighborhood, 5 min drive to Old Town and the waterfront. A bit over 10 min to Cal Poly Humboldt. 1 mile from the ancient redwoods and ferns of Sequoia Park, zoo, and Redwood Sky Walk. There is a trail nearby, a cafe with great food/beer/wine just 3 blocks away, a burger place, and a supermarket and CVS are bit beyond. House kitchen and laundry room to use, small patio with table and BBQ, nice bathroom with full bathtub and handle shower.

The space
The room has a private entrance through a key locking 6' sliding glass door, and is away from the street in a two bedroom one bath house are usually only one person is home most of the time. Use of large kitchen and some cabinets and main fridge space, good washer and dryer, and shared often sunny back patio.

Guest access
It is across from the shared bathroom, where you could have some of the built-in storage space, And you can use the backyard a small patio with barbecue, the large kitchen and the laundry room. Street parking is plenty full, and break-ins are super rare in the nice mellow neighborhood, better than most of Eureka in many ways :)

Get away from it all when you stay under the stars. Camping on private property often with no other campers around. Hiking and Mountain Bike trails on site and adjacent to miles of additional trails in Second Growth city park.

Very peaceful and close to essentials. Redwood National Park, Redwoods State Park, drive through trees, one log home, Avenue of the giants and many other historic sites, towns, and natural wonders within a 40 minute radius.

Onsite, you may see red fox, deer, turkeys.

The space
There are multiple sites to choose to set-up your tent. This is a campsite with no building, no bed, or shower. There is an outhouse as shown in photo.

We can't accept trailers and RVs. The drive way is too steep and there is no place to park one.

There is a common area with picnic tables, umbrella, and charcoal grill.

Arrive before dark on the first day. The forest is dark and the driveway steep. You'll want to get oriented in the day light.

Guests have a designated parking spot thats off street and is adjacent to the guest room. The parking spot is well lit and monitored by a security camera. I’ve never had a problem with any theft with a guest’s car or property.

I strive to avoid single use plastics with the listing and use laundry detergent and household cleaners that are free of synthetic fragrances. The room is sanitized after every guest with a UV/ozone device, which is effective with COVID, cold and flu viruses.

The space
This is a small room, bathroom and private deck attached to a large home. Located on the bottom floor, everything possible has been done to create a private space for your stay. The door opens onto a sun porch that overlooks a fully fenced yard, creating a nice little space to relax.

Guest access
Located in a quiet nook of Eureka, this space is peaceful and low traffic. Parking is on street . Fifteen minutes to Humboldt State University, walk to shopping, dining and close to the hospital as well as a clear launching point for exploring the world famous Redwoods, Rivers, Beaches and more!

Other things to note
Pets do live on the property. We have a delightful outdoor male tuxedo cat named Solomon who is very friendly who now has a new friend in the neighborhood. A young female Siamese named Earl (both are fixed). Please do not let them indoors.
Please do not smoke cigarettes of any kind i n or near the home.

The space
Very Quiet location near the Mad River Bluff trail and also conveniently close to Trinidad, Arcata, the Redwoods and the ocean.

Guest access
Guests have access to the shared kitchen and the living room which has roku and netflix on the TV. They also have a private bathroom across the hall from their room.

During your stay
I have a master suite as my room so I can stay away and allow you to have complete privacy or we can visit. Whichever you prefer is fine :)

Our home is an historic farmhouse built in 1862 by one of the original settlers to the area, Isaac Minor. It sits on two acres with several vegetable and flower gardens and it is surrounded on 3 sides by a working flower farm and a small horse ranch. It has a pastoral feel and yet is within 5 minutes of our downtown. This unit is a spacious room with west facing windows and a fireplace. It has a private entrance and bath with a clawfoot tub. Full kitchen is shared by both guest rooms.

The space
This listing is for our Sunset Suite. It has a queen size bed and a small futon couch. Our two suites share a common entryway and communal room but each has its own private bath. The two suites are very private in relation to each other. Each suite has its own refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and kettle as well as plates and supplies. The common room which is also the entry sports a small kitchen and dining area. There are also two decks each with a gas grill. I provide pots, pans, dishes, etc. If the other suite is rented then the common space may be shared.

Guest access
You are welcome to enjoy the outside decks to the front and side. There is a large soccer field and we have bocce ball, frisbee golf and cornhole as well as ping pong for your enjoyment. There is a common room through which you will enter. It will be shared if there are guests staying in the other suite. Both suites are available for larger parties as needed.

You have a private entrance and bathroom. This room overlooks our vegetable and flower garden. It is very quiet and peaceful.
