It was built with consideration for amenities that allow for a comfortable vacation. The cozy feeling inside the cabin is perfect for a small family gathering. Set in the Pacific Northwest, 3 miles north of the historic town of Trinidad, California, Scotty Cabin is the perfect place to spend a few days or a couple of weeks exploring. Newly added: outdoor shower and two person Scotty Point cabana recreation area for your enjoyment!

In the mornings enjoy a warm cup of coffee or tea as you walk out the door onto the sundeck overlooking the expansive private meadow before you finish breakfast and head off to explore for the day. And equally enjoyable when you return for a picturesque sunset dinner . The cabin is set up for three guests with a comfortable queen bed in the primary bedroom and an ultra thick twin size bed in the second bedroom. The full kitchen is well stocked with the majority of the cooking supplies and utensils you'll need to make quick meals on the go for your daily picnics or put together a leisurely dinner on the gas stove and oven. The full bathroom with shower and tub is designed to be compact but comfortable and well equipped. The front loading washer and dryer are well taken care of and located in the bathroom. All the BBQ utensils you'll need to enjoy the Gas Weber Grill are also provided. Hot and Cold sink near the BBQ for your convenience.

During your visit, please be sure and walk across the scenic meadow to take in the view of Scotty Point and the Pacific Ocean from the viewing terrace - a lovely place to have happy hour while watching the sunset in to the ocean. There is a deck box on the entry deck that has a few beach/lawn chairs and some toys for the kids for those beach trips or just to kick a ball about the meadow.

GETTING AROUND:
Close proximity to ACV airport and conveniently located ¾ miles off Highway 101. However, it should be noted that Scenic Drive is a coastal road that is prone to changing conditions. In several sections the road becomes single lane, with sections of dirt or gravel. Driving slowly and with caution makes this short distance easy to navigate. Our riverside cabins are a stones throw from the Klamath, with private swimming, a peaceful setting and lots of good fishing access. Enjoy the view of the river from your private deck and sleep with your door open to the sounds of the river. The warm, sunny interior of the Klamath offers an alternative to the cool and foggy Redwood Coast, and you'll be far from the crowds. Our redwood, pet friendly cabins come with a full kitchen & linens and a deck that looks over the river. We can arrange whitewater rafting trips, point you in the direction of the best hiking, or you can just relax by the river and explore on your own to see what you find. You won't be disappointed.

Our riverside cabins come with a full kitchen & linens, private bedroom, bathroom and a deck that looks over the Klamath River. The interior has a clean, aesthetically pleasing, rustic appeal of solid redwood interior with hardwood floors. The bedroom has a queen bed, and two more twin beds can be made in the common kitchen/living room area. Each cabin has identical floor plans, with the exception of Cabin 6, which is slightly larger, (it has a second bedroom with queen bed, and more windows facing the river). Our pet friendly lodging is open to all four-leggeds, as long as they behave around other guests & our chickens!

It's a short walk down a path to our private sandy beach and swimming hole located across from Pearch Creek, a pristine mountain stream that can be heard from the cabin decks. There is a long stretch of river just below the cabins where guests are welcome to roam. Guests are also welcome to use our lawn for lounging or volleyball, our covered cabana (nice place to check the internet or just relax) and wander in our organic garden.

We are happy to recommend places to go and things to do, and offer information on our area. Once guests are settled in and oriented we like allow them their privacy. There is always someone here at the ranch, though you may not see us. Mark and Blythe live on the property, as do our caretakers. When you arrive, check the whiteboard on the office porch for your cabin assignment and basic information. Someone will check in with you to make sure you're settled and oriented. Our phone numbers are listed in the office, so if you can't find us yo can always call.

Sandy Bar Ranch is off the beaten path, in a beautiful corner of the world. This is one of the few remaining places with no cell service; we invite you to take full advantage of this, relax and unplug during your visit. Our office is equipped with WIFI and a land line for your use, but neither of these are available in your cabin. You can contact the outside world when you want, and we can pass phone messages to you, but in your cabin the main thing you’ll hear is the river.

The Klamath Region is a remote corner of Northern California and Southern Oregon and a little-known vacation spot. Officially designated a Wild and Scenic River, the Klamath River encompasses two nationally recognized scenic byways. Miles of rivers and creeks offer world-class white water river rafting and kayaking vacation opportunities, as well as crystal clear pools for swimming and fishing.

The Mid-Klamath offers some of the finest, yet least-known steelhead fishing on the West Coast. In sharp contrast to the "shoulder to shoulder" experience of the river mouth, seasoned anglers will be refreshed to find entire stretches of the Mid-Klamath River to themselves, and it's a great area for beginners as the chances are high of hooking fish. Opportunities abound for fly-fishing, bait and lures. You can fish from our own stretch of river bar, choose several nearby river access points, or take a drift boat tour. We work with expert drift boat guides who can put you right where the fish are. These local guides live and work on the Klamath River and know it intimately from years of experience.

The Klamath Mountains are the cross roads of the West, where north meets south, the coastal range meets the interior Great Basin, and the Sierra Nevada meet the Cascades, creating a rich and unique region of endemic plants found nowhere else in the world. We're in a secluded spot, where the peace and quiet of the river and surrounding mountains are the main attraction. There are four designated wilderness areas in the region: The Trinity Alps, Russians, Marble Mountain and Siskiyou Wilderness. There are no restaurants in this area, each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, so bring your own food. There are a few small country stores nearby that stock the basics.

The cabin boasts a full kitchen, private bedroom with a queen size memory foam bed, bathroom and living area. The bathroom also has an entrance from the bedroom and an entrance from the living area. The living area also has a queen memory foam bed and two futon sofas with inner spring mattresses the pull out to full beds.

There is a beautiful deck that wraps around 2 sides of the Cabin for your outdoor pleasure. Down the stairs you have your own private front yard with a fire pit (you can also grill on this), outdoor chairs and a picnic table with benches. Also plenty of room for boat parking.

This cozy cabin, dubbed "Huckleberry” has beautiful wooded surroundings. Located only 15 minutes from Eureka or Arcata. It makes a wonderful home-base to explore all of the amazing natural locations that Humboldt County has to offer.

The space
This cabin is tucked behind the main house, both of which are across the road from Freshwater Park. There is a staircase leading up to the cabin. There is an abundance of wildlife locally, including raccoon, skunk, deer and even a bear occasionally. Bats in the summer evenings as well. This place is cozy and warm, great for rainy winter nights or relaxing after a day at the creek across the way.

Other things to note

This cozy cabana has recently been renovated. It is located on a beautiful 8 acre farm surrounded by redwoods, only 10 minutes from the seaside town of Trinidad, CA. Here you can explore restaurants, galleries, shops and more. Trinidad is about a half hour from the Prairie Creek Visitor Center of Redwood National Park.

The space
The cabana is surrounded by a large yard with a fire pit and a barbecue area, perfect for relaxing evenings. The inside of the cabana is compact, clean, and simple. The kitchen is small and fully equipped with a fantastic oven/range, mini fridge and all the basics needed for making for delicious meals. There is a comfortable double-size bed with lots of pillows and even a TV. The bathroom is located through a glass sliding door off the deck. It is a fully enclosed water closet with both a shower and toilet.

Guest access
The Garden of Eatin’ is a small farm full of veggies and fruits, including an orchard. It’s a sustainable system, garden to table. A lot of the food goes out into the community. It is also home to several farm animals including pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, dogs and cats.

There are 2 working dogs that live on the property to protect the farm and the pigs. They do bark.

Re Hygenic preparedness for your arrival:
Our extensive cleaning procedures between guests are of the highest CDC health and safety hospitality standards. Disinfecting hand soap and cleaning supplies are in the rental. Our 47 acre redwood-forested setting provides an ideal place and way to vacation or get away from populus areas during this current time.

Also, regarding Covid, by this time our guests understand the situation, have read our cancellation policy and assume all responsibility when they make the reservation. We are not refunding for reasons re Covid at this time.

Holidays weeks and weekends (Presidents week, Spring break, Memorial weekend, Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving week, Christmas/Winter holiday and New Years) are 3 night minimum and HSU Graduation (May 16-19, 2019) and 4th of July week are 4 night minimum (higher rates for HSU graduation weekend). The Serene Cabin in the Redwoods is located on 5 acres of sunny orchards and redwood forest. Enjoy the expansive view of our next door neighbors 20 acres of pasture as you come down the driveway to the parking area. Many beautiful wild animals can be seen here from elk, coyote, wild turkey, bobcat, hawks and more depending on the season.

Take a short trail right from the cabin to Lindsey Creek, a year round creek. There you will find a small beach. You may even see the salmon running.

Enjoy watching the many species of birds fluttering from tree to tree from the glider on your own private deck. Enjoy breakfast on a second deck right next to the cabin.

We try to provide you with all of the amenities you could possibly need to make your stay as carefree as possible. We always strive to use organic and environmentally friendly products. If we have missed something don’t hesitate to ask for whatever you need.

The cabin and all of the appliances are relatively new so you can expect a very clean and comfortable stay.

The cabin has a full kitchen with everything you need to prepare elaborate multi course meals if desired. Farm fresh eggs (laid by our very own hens when available), fresh produce (in season) from our garden and other breakfast essentials will be provided, as well as organic fair trade coffee and black, green and herbal tea.

Although we provide a flat screen tv, premium cable channels, dvd player and internet (which is not great due to limited options out here in the country) we encourage you to unplug and revel in the serenity that surrounds the cabin.

The space is for two people as it is a one bedroom with a double bed.

The space
This riverside cabin comes with a full kitchen & linens, private bedroom, bathroom and a deck that looks over the Klamath River. Enjoy the view of the river from your private deck and sleep with your door open to the sounds of the river. The interior has a clean, aesthetically pleasing, rustic appeal of solid redwood interior with hardwood floors. The bedroom has a queen bed, and two more twin beds can be made in the common kitchen/living room area. Each cabin has identical floor plans, with the exception of Cabin 6, which is slightly larger, (it has a second bedroom with queen bed, and more windows facing the river). Pets welcome, as long as they can behave around our goats & chickens!

It's a short walk down a path to our private sandy beach and swimming hole located across from Pearch Creek, a pristine mountain stream that can be heard from the cabin decks. There is a long stretch of river just below the cabins where guests are welcome to roam. Guests are also welcome to use our lawn for lounging or volleyball, our covered cabana (nice place to check the internet or just relax) and wander in our organic garden.

Other things to note
Sandy Bar Ranch is off the beaten path, in a beautiful corner of the world. This is one of the few remaining places with no cell service; we invite you to take full advantage of this, relax and unplug during your visit. Our office is equipped with WIFI and a land line for your use, but neither of these are available in your cabin. You can contact the outside world when you want, and we can pass phone messages to you, but in your cabin the main thing you’ll hear is the river.

Built in the 1940s, Cabin 2 has been modestly updated but maintains a rustic, rough-around-the-edges feel. There are some eccentricities, such as the cabin bedrooms have curtain closures. It has all the essentials for an extended stay. It is cozy, clean and functional providing a nice, quiet base for relaxing and enjoying the local beauty.

The space
Our simple cabins are quiet, comfortable, and clean. They are a good value for the space and amenities provided. Our 2 bedroom cabins are ideal for 4 or less people. Each cabin has a deck with table, chairs, and barbeque.

Local, state, and national parks are within a 5-20 minute drive. The town of Trinidad has several shops, restaurants, grocery store, gas station, playground, hiking, and great views of Trinidad harbor. Because of our rural setting cell phone access is patchy depending on your service provider. On our property Verizon / CDMA phones seem to have good coverage, whereas ATT / GSM phones do not.

Other things to note
PLEASE READ: The bedroom doorways of Cabin #2 are open with curtain closures, and are facing one another, which doesn't give much privacy between the bedrooms. Also, with regard to privacy, the bathroom door does not have a lock. Also, the cabin is located on a larger property that is home to one large residence, many outbuildings, and an RV park. During the summer months the cabin is surrounded by RVs. Despite the proximity of the RVs, the cabin still offers a quiet place as our customers are usually very respectful and quiet. Some of our RV guests have pets, which are required to be on a leash and cleaned up after.
We also have laundry facilities in a separate building for a small fee.

The dock is available during certain seasons starting in the summer.

This cozy Trinity River cabin property is situated on 2 acres that borders an impressive produce vegetable and fruit farm on its north side, and the wild scenic Trinity River on its east side. Perfect for guests who search for a simple quiet comfortable surrounding, with private easy access to the Trinity River, and the luxury of having a fresh produce stand a few steps away! The cabin is cozy country. Your dog or cat are welcome.

Kitchen: has an under the counter refrigerator (a 2nd refrigerator/freezer is washer/dryer area). Great River access....just a walk to the end of the property and the guests are at the banks of the Trinity River. During summer and fall months one sees many kayaks passing down the river. Check on fishing season rules and regulations.

Bedding: Sheets & pillow cases are provided, but guests will make their own bedding with linens provided or linens the guest might bring. Guest can wash and dry as often as they like. Guests are expected to leave all used linens in shower basin upon departure.

Smoking: please no smoking inside the cabin.

Departure: Since no cleaning fee is being charged, it is expected that guests leave the cabin in the same condition that they found it when they arrived. Any cabin linens (towels, washclothes, sheets, pillow cases, etc) used should all be placed in the shower at time of departure.

The Hot Tub sits in a gorgeous and totally private meadow, surrounded by the redwood forest. There is an outdoor BBQ and fire ring. The location conveniently located 15 minutes from Arcata or Eureka. There is the convenient Three-Corners Market, about a 5 minute drive. We take special Covid-19 Cleaning precautions, following the Airbnb Sanitation Handbook.

The space
A charming two-story cabin in the woods, what more could you want? Enjoy a luxurious soak in a private jacuzzi, in a gorgeous meadow under the stars. Wildlife abounds and natural beauty is everywhere. The Summer Swimming Hole is up and running! Located directly across the road from our address at Freshwater park. Freshwater Creek, which is part of the salmon restoration watershed, and an amazingly beautiful forest creek on the property called Cloney Gulch lends to the name Freshwater. There are many spectacular photo opportunities on the property and in the park. There is a fun playground for kids in the park too. We are most certainly in the country not the town, so don't tempt the bears by leaving snacks in your car. We sometimes call it Dragonfly Meadows, as there are dozens of large dragonflies and butterflies In the summertime.

Our spacious-view filled cabin sits in an oak forest just yards from an expansive overlook of the main fork of California's great Trinity River.

The space
This is a newly constructed-modern cabin nestled in the oaks. It is a short walk to a stunning river overlook. This cabin is in a very private location minutes from Willow creek. River access is close by.

The inside of the cabin consists of one large room with a full kitchen. A sleeping loft adjoins this room. The bedroom is very private and looks out onto an oak forest. There is an enclosed toilet room, a large tub room with a double-sided-cast-iron tub and a sink alcove. Outside the tub room, is a circular outdoor shower.

This is a very special place. The entire structure is surrounded by decks and the interior has vaulted ceilings with ceiling fans. There are 12, 8 foot glass doors in the main room. This provides the feeling of being in the forest.

Willow creek is a very small town in the Trinity Alps that is known for kayaking, rafting and fishing. The area also boasts numerous working organic farms.

This cabin is ideal for folks wanting to experience a quiet retreat in a beautiful space in an undiscovered part of California.

The space
This unique farmhouse is set on our spacious cannabis farm, surrounded by green, open space, and lush greenhouses of marijuana. The residence is cradled in the Freshwater Creek Valley, surrounded by lush Redwood forest.

The coastal towns of Eureka and Arcata are less than a 10 min drive away for all you food and entertainment needs.

We offer an informative guided tour of the farm during the growing season. The tour includes a stroll through the greenhouses, nursery, propagation room, and drying barn, and more. The tour guide, will explain the cultivation process as well as a brief history and fun stories about the Humboldt cannabis culture. $15 per person. Request 48hrs in advance, and subject to tour guide's availability.

The farmhouse has a full kitchen, with a stove, oven and large fridge as well as basic cookware. There are two bedrooms with queen size beds, one bathroom, a wood fired stove, a private deck, and gorgeous views of our farm and the surrounding redwoods.

This is an operating farm which means there may be a certain level of activity and noise throughout your stay. We also have dogs on the property whom are friendly and will want to meet you.

The area immediately outside and around the rental is yours to use and enjoy. Guests are welcome to walk around the rest of the property but are not permitted to enter any buildings or greenhouses that are not part of their Airbnb. Respecting the other guests and their space is expected as well. If you wish to see more of the farm in detail, we will gladly give you a guided tour! Just text or call to make arrangements.

While the view may appear close, the home is perched on a hill and not walking distance to the marsh trails or bay but is within 20 minutes of most Arcata and Eureka locations, and less than an hour to nearby State and National Redwood National parks.

Consider choosing the Black Bear cabin as your base for all of your Redwood National Park adventures. Cozy and functional, the Black Bear is located close to beaches, rivers, and ancient Redwood groves.

The space
Tucked away in a lush grove in the back of our wooded campground, the Black Bear cabin welcomes you to relax on its private patio, gather with family around its outdoor fireplace, cook a meal with friends, or simply breathe in the fresh air and marvel at the stars above. At 400 square feet of interior space this cozy cabin offers two bedrooms and a main room with a fully stocked kitchen, dining and Tucked away in a lush grove in the back of our wooded campground, the Black Bear Cabin is ideally located to access all that Redwood National Park and Del Norte County have to offer. Our cabin welcomes you to relax on its private patio, gather with family around its outdoor fireplace, cook a meal with friends, or simply breathe in the fresh air and marvel at the stars above. At 400 square feet of interior space this cozy cabin offers two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a main room with a full kitchen, dining and sitting areas, and an attached covered porch for those wet and misty Redwood Coast days.

In addition to your cabin you will also have access to all of the amenities our campground has to offer: We have a 1/2-mile hiking trail, a game room with a pool table, a dog run, a coin-operated laundry room, and a swing set for small children.

You will have an assigned parking space right in front of your cabin which can hold two cars. To access the Black Bear cabin, you will need to go up a short flight of wooden stairs. Pets are welcome at the Black Bear (with $25 cleaning fee).

Children and babies are welcome at our cabin! A Pack-and-Play is available upon request.

Other things to note
The Black Bear Cabin is located in a campground. While your cabin and patio are reserved for your use only, you may have a few campers in RVs as your neighbors. Please note that generator use is not allowed on our campground.
The Black Bear Cabin is located in the forest. Wildlife, including black bears, frequent our property.
Depending on your carrier, cell phone reception will be either very poor or non-existent.
We do provide Starlink internet, which is fairly reliable.
